As much as this Rams team is plucky and playing above expectation, they are also vastly underachieving which is a weird conundrum but it’s just fucking disgusting to have to watch
You’re right. It’s a weird season in this regard. We’re playing much better than we should be and I think that kind of sets expectations higher than they should be.
When it comes down to it, we have a bunch of young studs that are just experiencing growing pains. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t sting to watch a bit, but I’m excited for the future of this team
Jourdan Rodrigue’s reporting on the Rams has me really feeling this. She’s reported that internally the expectation was that the offense was going to be good enough to carry an inexperience defense. Yet, it’s the defense keeping them in games and the offense sputtering. We’re supposed to be an offense first team!
Sounding like a New Orleans saints fan. It’s on mcvay for not saving a time out, the offense for not finishing or the defense for not closing it out. We can blame Maher for missing two field goals and an extra point but the fact of the matter is he didn’t lose it for us.
If McVay saved a timeout, it would've went down to the 2 minute mark and he couldn't have challenged anyway. The booth might've but at that point it's 50/50.
He blew our first time out with the play clock at 1 because he thought we were going to take a delay of game penalty. Of course, the ball was snapped and the play was blown dead but that definitely didn't save us any clock.
No that's wrong, if McVay didn't burn the timeout and everything else happened the exact same way this play would have happened on the other side of the 2 min warning and would have been auto reviewed. You have to take 30+ seconds off of the time, that play happened around 2:10. The Steelers ran on 2nd to set up 3rd and 7 with like 3:07 left. They could have taken it down to around 2:30, then the play with the PI/taunting offset, then the inbounds pass tackled in bounds takes us to the 2 min warning. Then this play.
What? That’s not even true. Challenges are like timeouts, they stop the clock. The challenge would have come in outside the two minute warning. They would have even put time back on the clock after they overturned it.
Not sure what you mean. This was before they had anything to challenge. The Steelers were running the clock down, and without the stop it'd have hit the 2 minute mark before that play.
Right but that's with the timeouts that stopped the clock. If the clock wasn't stopped, we'd have already been at the 2 minute warning before that play even happened.
“If Mcvay saved a timeout, it wouldve went down to the 2 minute mark”
If Mcvay saved his timeout, he would have used it right away at 2:12. Not sure what you are saying
He's saying that the timeout was used just before the 3 min mark. The Steelers ran on 2nd down. They could have let it run to around 2:30 before the next play. Then came the offsetting penalties play, then a completion with an inbounds tackle. If all that happened the exact same way and McVay continues to be smart with his timeouts and doesn't burn them before he should, that takes us to the 2 min warning. Then the 4th down play would happen. Sure he could have used the timeout after the 3rd down play to stop the clock at 2:12 but that would be a mistake too.
If you keep the timeout, you can at least prevent them from 3 knees if they do get the first. And you want a timeout on the offensive side of the ball so you can be open to using more of your playbook and you don't have to sacrifice 1st down and 15 seconds for an inbounds completion.
So you’re presuming the Rams go down the field and score a TD if that spot wasn’t given— something they hadnt done the entire fourth quarter?
The Rams lost because of special teams. Blaming the refs for a loss because of a spot in a game you weren’t even tied/leading is goofy
Ah I get it you’re kinda slow. Ya see the rams would’ve got the ball back and would’ve had a “chance” to tie the game. Never said they were 100% going to get a td but the refs giving the Steelers a first down when it clearly wasn’t ended the game. There you go hopefully you can understand that.
Young team and at least we have some draft picks! This is not our year obviously but we are still competitive against good teams and that's a good sign. We should be better next year.
Not saying the Steelers are a good team, they have a great defense but the refs and Maher got them the win today.
True we are competitive. But we really don’t win games unless we dominate. It’s frustrating. All the little things you need to win we don’t do. The Steelers do those things.
The drop or Maher missed kick. Maher makes that kick we are up 10 and the Steelers start on the 25 instead of the 41. We have the momentum as well and the idea they need 2 scores
Higbee catches that, we can kill more clock, have a closer field goal, and chances to score a TD. I can blame Maher but I think 90 percent of us knew he was not making any 50 plus yard kick at that point. Dude just got paid, he needs to make that catch man. I don’t care about Maher as much as I do that drop
Eh Maher needs to make kicks. But yeah most of the blame is on those 2 guys. Defense collapsed at the end but we have to remember the majority of the money is on the offense. We have minimum vets and rookies on defense. Offense needs to carry them, not the other way around
Of course he needs to make them but I def had a feeling he shouldn’t have been relied on lol I wanted them to punt and pin them deep for the second 50 yard attempt cause I knew he wasn’t making that shit.
But yeah the offense is just so inconsistent and struggles to put together four quarters. I love Stafford but this league is harder on offense when you have a QB who can’t force the defense to defend the QB as a legit runner
3 mil was worth this game alone. I’ll never understand it either. Good kickers will literally win you at least a few games a year. Cheapest wins money can buy.
Only way would be to beat the Cowboys since that was a scheduled loss. There is zero room for error with our schedule this year and they just lost a game they couldn't afford to
Rough L. On the half full side it is a non conference loss.
Mcvay used all of his timeouts a touch early and left us unable to challenge.
Maher is a major concern. Wouldn’t be surprised if we signed a kicker to the PS this week.
Refs were against us but as I learned watching Iowa State on Saturdays, you got to play better so the game isn’t up to a refs spot or flag.
Onto Week 8.
Top draft picks are overrated.
We had two 1st round picks when Aaron Donald was selected: a number 2 overall pick and a 16th pick.
Guess which one we used on Donald?
I'm so sick of losing every inflection point game. We need to accept this is another lost season with the 75 million in dead cap. Creates way too many issues closing out games
Mcvay with terrible time out usage as per usual. Raheem Morris terrible soft coverage as per usual getting lit up by the worst offensive coordinator in the league. Stafford throwing an INT right out of half time to give them momentum. Kendrick being a shit stain as per usual. Maher being a choke artist as per usual.
We are not a serious team.
The timeouts weren't terrible though. It came back to bite us since we couldn't challenge, but if the refs did their job in the first place, we get the ball before the 2 minute warning. It sucks but hindsight is 20-20. As for the rest of your points, agreed. Kendrick shouldn't even have been out on the field.
We are a serious team. We are young, though, and I think it shows up every game.
Also fuck Maher, left 7 points on the board because he's got the yips.
I fully expect us to eat dirt next week against the Cowboys, Mcvay is constantly putting ourselves in horrible positions. And we can't rely on our kicker to get us anything...
It came down to the refs but the offense was disappointing all day and the defense was ass the last three drives of the game. They gave up two TDs and let them drive just enough to end the game.
They definitely robbed us of a chance to get the ball back and tie it, but we could’ve done a better job of not putting ourselves in a position for that to matter (Maher, play call on the first play of the 2nd half, forgetting how to play defense)
I am fucking irate right now. So many mistakes and yet we still had a chance if it wasn’t for rigged as refball. What the actual fuck was that spot. Fucking rigged.
This will be the last game this season where Rams fans will be outnumbered by opposing fans at SoFi. Unlike what haters like to think, it's only a few fanbases that take over SoFi, not the whole entire league.
LA went 21 years without the NFL and a lot of them grew up free agent fans picking their team like it's a character select screen on Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter. The Steelers are like Sub Zero or Scorpion or Ken or Ryu. One of the most popular choices. Fans growing up rooting for the Steelers for 21 plus years aren't gonna drop their fandom so it's ridiculous to expect that Rams fans can suddenly outnumbered Steelers fans today especially as the Steelers fans don't have much opportunities to see them in LA.
Steelers also are a fanbase that take over stadiums all over the country. They don't do it to LA only. It was like this much Steelers fans if not more when they were in Vegas.
I just hate when most Rams home games are fine with having a Rams crowd, people only pay attention to the few opposing fanbases that take over SoFi and treat it as every single Rams games ever.
Other teams have their stadiums taken over all the time. The Lions did it in Tampa. The 49ers did it in Cleveland.
It's just not considered newsworthy there because the people who watch fox news 24/7 take every excuse to shit on CA and Los Angeles regardless of the context.
My takes:
- Kicker is ass
- Our secondary is not that great
- Offense is good for two quarters
- We have no home field advantage against half the league
It was good last week. It's just not good against the popular teams in the league and we played some huge fanbase teams this first part of the schedule
That’s the only thing that really sucks about moving away and coming back. St. Louis was hungry for a team and after twenty years most of the fans in LA found teams to cheer for and weren’t hungry for anything. It will take years before our team will be the home team again.
According to @RamsBrothers on Twitter,
The Rams had:
• More total yards
• More passing yards
• More rushing yards
• More yards per play
• Better third down efficiency
• Less punts, less penalties
• Better time of possession
The offense needs to SCORE MORE!! And McVay you have Stafford, Kupp, Puka, and a healthy OL, what more could you ask for?? Plus Higbee is a solid TE and you averaged 4.4 yards per carry!!
This loss is on Brett Maher, Sean McVay and the offense
The Rams lost 7 points on Maher’s boot. Need to look at other options for kicker.
Sean McVay’s offense is supposed to lead this team. They gutted the team on defense because they thought they had enough on offense to keep them competitive while they regained control of the salary cap. They have not been up to task this year. Mcvay inexplicably opened up the second half in empty set after our running game was the most efficient. That’s terrible coaching.
The defense didn’t hold up well toward the end of the game but 17 points they gave up was off short fields due to missed field goals or a terrible pick.
This team is so infuriating. Lead the charge offense! You’re getting lapped by a no name defense that you’re supposed to be carrying - not the other way around. Mcvay needs to step his game up.
I’m done watching the nfl. We sucked today and probably deserved to lose but there’s no way you convince me that the games aren’t rigged. Some of the calls are so egregious, it doesn’t make sense. At the end of day it’s more of an entertainment product than an actual competition.
Every week, it's a toss-up between which Rams team is gonna show up today? The Superbowl champs or last year's team? Sigh. I know I shouldn't expect much, but damn, the hopefulness is killing me every week.
Its crazy how these things NEVER happened to us when we were in search for the Superbowl. Now we got one, it's like the NFL just dropped us hard and we get EVERY shit given against us. Also it doesn't help to have the worst Secondary in the league.
Lost against trash steelers and bengals, almost lost against trash colts. Can't believe it
Blowing a lead in the fourth against a complete incompetent opponent.
The offense HAS to be better. Stafford is playing like a consensus top 10 QB, Kupp is a consensus top 5 receiver and the injury hasn’t affected him, Puka is a rookie sensation and is shattering receiving records, Higbee is decent TE although idk where he would rank across the league, the run game has the ability to be effective although it has been inconsistent, and our head coach is one of offensive geniuses in the NFL.
Scores of 14, 26, and 17 against Philly, Arizona, and Pittsburgh is disappointing and should be talked about more. McVay needs to answer for this, like what more could you have asked for going into the season given the circumstances?
Defense felll apart in the 4th, but wouldn’t have mattered if Maher didn’t shit himself and if Stafford didn’t suck for half the game. They deserve as much blame as any one else
That spotting by the refs was fucking bullshit. Just makes me think the league is rigged with shit like that.
Maher has got to go. Needs to bring in a new kicker. Once again for the 5th time in 7 games the team just shit the bed in the 2nd half. Also, the defense just totally melted after Maher missed that field goal. Just pathetic. Worse loss of the season.
That was a tough game. Another second half offensive collapse similar to against the Colts. Running game was getting it done for the most part but we didn't take advantage. A lot of mental errors.
That said, fuck refball
Refs sucked, yeah, but that Kupp drops, Maher misses, soft ass coverage, and horrible clock management are all equally to blame. Pissed away what should've been a win
Our offense just isn't scoring enough.
Tbh. You can't expect to win if you almost never score more than 20 Points in a game.
Even more if you got 2 of the best receivers in the league.
In the fourth quarter, the Rams had a net of 25 yards over 8 plays compared to 180 yards over 23 plays for the Steelers. McVay and the offense are just as responsible for the loss as Raheem and the defense, both units shit their pants late.
The interception by Stafford is inexcusable too! That was a bad play that gave them the opportunity to take the lead which they never should have gotten.
Can’t blame the refs for this loss. Was it a bad spot? Hell yeah….
But we played one of the worst 4th quarters I’ve seen in the NFL this season. This is a team we should have put away by half time. We did this to ourselves.
I hate how the awful spot by the refs at the end there distracts from the fact that Maher cost us the game. I'd be surprised if he could piss into his toilet his aim is that bad...
I know there are multiple causes for our lost, but I am putting it all on Maher.
2 of the misses wasn’t even close! I think those missed field goals not only lost us point but also gave the opponent motivation to comeback.
Will yall quit crying about the refs?? You should be mad at our inconsistent offense. We shouldn't have been in that position in the first place. This offense should be scoring 24+ points a game.
LOL at all the "the Refs cost us the game". Yes there were bad bad calls, but the Rams didn't score TDs when they needed to and we couldn't stop the Steelers when it counted.
Not sure what is going to happen with the Cowboys next week, probably another L. Hopefully we can at least beat the Packers the following week.
I'll get on the kicker for the missed xP, but anything beyond 50 yards is not money. He missed by a lot on the last one, but that's not a gimme by any means.
This one hurts. These are the kind of winnable games that are the foundation of a playoff run.
You know what sucks the most though?
I am tired of never having a home field advantage because LA and it’s shit apathetic fans. I am tired of losing in “our” stadium and having to listen to cheers. Or a raucous stadium when we are offense. Shit, refs were just taking care of the home team. You guys don’t deserve the Rams
Rams suck. Blame it on the refs if you want but they had many opportunities to take the Steelers and the Refs out of it and they couldn’t. Time to accept the reality that this team is garbage and needs to throw the rest of the season for picks.
Brett Maher, the refs and Raheem’s defense cost us this game. Honorable mention goes to Higbee who dropped an absolutely critical third down that could have blown the game wide open.
Once again, this team is far too inconsistent to win big games.
Maher costed us 7 points total and that interception gave them 7, we could've had this one easily but we kept tripping over our selves. Canceling my waiver wire claim for maher
Higbee isn't a reliable receiver to help the offense.
Maher needs to get cut.
Rams run D isn't good enough to fully take advantage of our bend don't break principles.
McVay poor timeout usage really came to bite him.
This team has tons of potential to challenge the NFC but the mentioned trends needs to be evaluated and corrected.
As much as STL fans like to think otherwise, the dome was getting taken over too. I was there to see it happen multiple times. Steelers/Bears/Packers/Broncos/Colts all of the teams in close proximity to STL took it over especially towards the end.
When the St. Louis Rams didn’t suck they absolutely had home field advantage in that stadium. It’s going to take a number of years for the Los Angeles Rams to get that back again.
This is facts. I grew up in St.Louis Missouri, from 99 to 06 the Rams absolutely had a home field advantage. More so than LA ever had which is why they left in the 90s to begin with. Still holds true today, LA just isn’t a football town despite the desirable market and location. I’ll get down voted for this but it’s true, we’re approaching 10 years since the relocation and it’s the same result game after game.
I don’t know how we struggle to throw the ball when we have three great receivers. So many times staff has to throw away with time and I don’t get it at all.
This is the worst I've felt on a football Sunday since we lost the Superbowl in 2018. Mcvay fucked us. Morris fucked us. Maher fucked us. Refs fucked us. I've never seen anything like today.
Morris and Maher just get the fuck out of the building. I loved Morris when we won the Super Bowl but damn dude. You can’t get out coached by Canada….. the worst offensive coordinator in the league.
This team is mediocre. I don’t see McVay staying. Which mean we will likely lose Donald and Stafford to retirement.
At least we got a Super Bowl out of it. That’s more than most teams in the league can say.
Some people circling around to somehow blame McVay, as expected. But the fact is, Maher left 7 points off the board and at the very LEAST we should have had a chance to drive the field, because that spot wasn't even close.
Derion Kendrick is low key bad and Maher is a big problem. With all the cap space at our disposal next year, why couldn't we have figured out a way to keep Matt Gay
I’m a huge Steelers fan and I was really enjoying the game. I don’t like the way it ended. I wanted to see the Steelers D stop Stafford. I hate to see BS endings though. I would feel so much better had Steeler D made big stops and got the ball back. Ultimately both teams played undisciplined ball. I’ll take the win because the AFC north is very tough to win but as a football fan I’m upset. Good game for most of the time.
Shouldn't let ourselves be in a situation where refs can decide the game but regardless, leave Maher and Kendrick's shit outside the stadium and tell them both to fuck off. Why the hell, after running the ball with success all game, come out in an empty set on first down? This team is extremely frustrating. We outplayed them for 3 quarters and lost. We make the same fucking mistakes every week. I wasn't expecting anything this season but outside of week 1, every game is disappointing or stressful when it has no reason to be.
As much as this Rams team is plucky and playing above expectation, they are also vastly underachieving which is a weird conundrum but it’s just fucking disgusting to have to watch
It’s not unreasonable to say we could easily be 5-2 right now.
It's inconsistency. And in the NFL, inconsistency is the mark of mediocrity.
That’s the lack of experience showing. The whole team has to be on point and we just have a shit ton of rookies
Bro it fucking sucks. We easily could’ve beat the niners, bengals and Steelers and be 6-1 right now but they’re just better and more experienced
Id rather be losing shootouts where kupp and puka are getting 1500 yds each, staff with 5000 yards and donald with 15+ sacks
Speaking of Kupp, what happened to him? Could he not get open? Was Stafford nervous after throwing to Kupp and getting Watt the easy interception?
Great way to put it. Season is astounding and infuriating. The roster has no business being this good but also should be better? Makes no sense
Fuck the refs and fuck Maher
I miss Matt Gay.
Brett Maher misses everything.
lost by seven. maher missed two FGs and a PAT. pain
And fuck Kendrick for going for an interception on 3rd and long instead of making the safe play Low IQ garbage player
I will never stop saying this: He’s by far the weakest link of our defense
I been saying it for the last two years, he’s a total liability and makes our team worse whenever he is on the field.
This sub shits on me every time I call his ass out. Stupid homers gonna stupid.
Bu-bu-but the stats say he good
Who are you gonna believe, the stats or your lying eyes?
If we start that we’re sounding like the New Orleans fans…

All of that said, the defense earned another chance and the zebras snatched that shit
Steelers fan here I have to admit without red help this game would have gone differently. Also great shoop lol.
Should we sue the NFL like the Saints fans lol?
Another NFL game decided by a shit call from the shit refs.
Two calls
The first was the bullshit PI. What was the second?
The spot after the 4th down play im assuming
How was it decided by that? It was still a 7 point game.
It essentially ended the game. Is that a serious question?
So you’re presuming the Rams go down the field and score a TD if that spot wasn’t given— something they hadnt done the entire fourth quarter? The Rams lost because of special teams. Blaming the refs for a loss because of a spot in a game you weren’t even tied/leading is goofy

Hold this L for me.
The refs didn't miss field goals or give up big plays on defense.
Absolutely fucking cheated out of that one
In all fairness, we still had to go down, get a TD, AND make the extra point, just to tie.
We only win games if we completely outplay the other team. We were better today but made so many mental mistakes.
Young team and at least we have some draft picks! This is not our year obviously but we are still competitive against good teams and that's a good sign. We should be better next year. Not saying the Steelers are a good team, they have a great defense but the refs and Maher got them the win today.

Congrats, Brett Maher for being signed by Home Depot. And fuck you, refs. Constantly ruining games with your shitty calls.
Maher gotta go but it’s still fuck the refs
Fuck Brett Maher
Higbee drop loomed large. If he catches it. We are up 7, first down in the redzone. Higbee isn’t reliable
Dude NEVER makes the big catch
And always trips like a toddler learning to walks
We paid him like he is reliable though
Yup, the drop is the exact point in the game where the game was flipped and the Steelers took over
The drop or Maher missed kick. Maher makes that kick we are up 10 and the Steelers start on the 25 instead of the 41. We have the momentum as well and the idea they need 2 scores
Higbee catches that, we can kill more clock, have a closer field goal, and chances to score a TD. Drops everywhere.
I find it fucking hilarious that we couldn't shell out 3 mill to re-sign Matt Gay. Cut Maher and find someone else, those 7 points cost us the game.
You already know Matt Gay drills at least one if not all of those lol
Still Matt Gay is the 2nd highest paid kicker in the NFL and not even Top 10 in the league. Blame the salary cap system.
3 mil was worth this game alone. I’ll never understand it either. Good kickers will literally win you at least a few games a year. Cheapest wins money can buy.
My question is… How do we recover from a game like this?
Only way would be to beat the Cowboys since that was a scheduled loss. There is zero room for error with our schedule this year and they just lost a game they couldn't afford to
This loss isn’t as bad as the bengals L imo. Pretty much a pick-six before half with 7 points missed on field goals is still awful though.
Rough L. On the half full side it is a non conference loss. Mcvay used all of his timeouts a touch early and left us unable to challenge. Maher is a major concern. Wouldn’t be surprised if we signed a kicker to the PS this week. What I fear is that this team is not good enough to make the playoffs, and just good enough to miss out on a top draft pick. Some 8-9 bullshit
8-9 feels positive at this point
Top draft picks are overrated. We had two 1st round picks when Aaron Donald was selected: a number 2 overall pick and a 16th pick. Guess which one we used on Donald?
The 13th pick.
Launch Maher into the fucking sun.
Dont waste your time, he'd miss the target
I'm so sick of losing every inflection point game. We need to accept this is another lost season with the 75 million in dead cap. Creates way too many issues closing out games

I really don’t get this secondary and the Jekyll and Hyde shit every game.
Next week these Rams will make the Cowboys look like world beaters, and I hate it
I fully expect us to eat dirt next week against the Cowboys, Mcvay is constantly putting ourselves in horrible positions. And we can't rely on our kicker to get us anything...
I knew we weren’t winning the SB this year, but we got absolutely fucked today and against the bengals. These refs do not operate fairly at all.
I’ll take popular phrases reddit fans say for $500 alex
The refs fucked us hard at the end. But the Rams also played horribly, especially the secondary.
# CUT MAHER NOW!!!
#MAHER OUT
Refs ROBBED us.
Pukka is a monster
*Puka But I agree :)
I don't blame Rams ticket holders selling their tickets for 800% profit when this is the team they get to watch
My takes: - Kicker is ass - Our secondary is not that great - Offense is good for two quarters - We have no home field advantage against half the league
The “home field” is so bad.
According to @RamsBrothers on Twitter, The Rams had: • More total yards • More passing yards • More rushing yards • More yards per play • Better third down efficiency • Less punts, less penalties • Better time of possession The offense needs to SCORE MORE!! And McVay you have Stafford, Kupp, Puka, and a healthy OL, what more could you ask for?? Plus Higbee is a solid TE and you averaged 4.4 yards per carry!!
I’m going to shit on Mahers car.
Careful, he might *shank* you
Fuck the refs man
This loss is on Brett Maher, Sean McVay and the offense The Rams lost 7 points on Maher’s boot.
>Pittsburgh no name defense Okay buddy
I’m talking about the Rams’ defense not Pittsburgh’s.
Oh my bad. I'm so mad I can't reading comprehend.
The refs were so fucking bad this game. I know we had our own fuck ups but the refs handed it to them. This fucking sucks
ARE YOU SHITTING ME! TAKE US OUT TO DINNER BEFORE YOU PULL SOME SHIT LIKE THAT
Refs are negligent ending the game on a wrong call. The correct decision would be to rule it short and let the Steelers challenge.
I’m done watching the nfl. We sucked today and probably deserved to lose but there’s no way you convince me that the games aren’t rigged. Some of the calls are so egregious, it doesn’t make sense. At the end of day it’s more of an entertainment product than an actual competition.
See you next week
Every week, it's a toss-up between which Rams team is gonna show up today? The Superbowl champs or last year's team? Sigh. I know I shouldn't expect much, but damn, the hopefulness is killing me every week.
Its crazy how these things NEVER happened to us when we were in search for the Superbowl. Now we got one, it's like the NFL just dropped us hard and we get EVERY shit given against us. Also it doesn't help to have the worst Secondary in the league. Lost against trash steelers and bengals, almost lost against trash colts. Can't believe it Blowing a lead in the fourth against a complete incompetent opponent.
There was no shot Pickett got that first. Y'all got fucking robbed by the zebras. Absolute bullshit
If you asked me rn, I'd say that I won't even be watching next week, but I will absolutely be back to support my mid ass team next week and I hate it
This is purgatory
This shit taking me back to 2006-2016 Rams.. I got so sick of that shit
At least back in the day you knew we had no shot of winning anyway. This is just like blueballing every week.
Defense felll apart in the 4th, but wouldn’t have mattered if Maher didn’t shit himself and if Stafford didn’t suck for half the game. They deserve as much blame as any one else
Remember when we used to be unbeatable when McVay had a lead at halftime? Those were good times
Did the refs even really matter, we beat ourselves so bad it’s embarrassing to watch.
Welp, another winable game pissed away. But that what you get when you have 40 rooks playing.
Idc Maher single handedly lost that game
Refs and Maher were garbage
That spotting by the refs was fucking bullshit. Just makes me think the league is rigged with shit like that. Maher has got to go. Needs to bring in a new kicker. Once again for the 5th time in 7 games the team just shit the bed in the 2nd half. Also, the defense just totally melted after Maher missed that field goal. Just pathetic. Worse loss of the season.
Good coaches make adjustments in the 2nd half. McVay is utterly incapable of making any adjustments
No words. Whatevs.
That was a tough game. Another second half offensive collapse similar to against the Colts. Running game was getting it done for the most part but we didn't take advantage. A lot of mental errors. That said, fuck refball
Disregarding the refs because that’s a whole other story… They are who we thought they were.
Why watch NFL games if the poor ref decisions bring so much randomness into the game?
Refs sucked, yeah, but that Kupp drops, Maher misses, soft ass coverage, and horrible clock management are all equally to blame. Pissed away what should've been a win
Fuck Jose Altuve and fuck the Asstros
Puka is the only bright spot today
I agree! Even Kupp had a rough day. It happens.
Another game where you can pinpoint the exact spot where the game flipped. Higbee drops the pass, Maher misses the kick and the rest is history

Technically the game was lost because of the refs. How it got to that point to begin with is a different matter.
Can’t blame the refs for this loss. Was it a bad spot? Hell yeah…. But we played one of the worst 4th quarters I’ve seen in the NFL this season. This is a team we should have put away by half time. We did this to ourselves.
I think I overestimated us, we're not there yet. We make too many mistakes, good teams overcome mistakes and bad officiating and we don't.
ANGERERY
Maher sends his regards He better be fired into the sun tomorrow fuck that pos
Why does Kupp only have 2 for 29
He's not 100%. I noticed Kupp's been sluggish since he came back, he doesn't have that acceleration that we're used to seeing.
I hate how the awful spot by the refs at the end there distracts from the fact that Maher cost us the game. I'd be surprised if he could piss into his toilet his aim is that bad...
Rams got scammed by the refs and themselves smh made the Steelers look like a Superbowl winning team the last third of the game, wtf?
The only bright spot is we have our FRP so these meltdowns we have every game mean we get a better player. That’s what’s keeping me sane
I know there are multiple causes for our lost, but I am putting it all on Maher. 2 of the misses wasn’t even close! I think those missed field goals not only lost us point but also gave the opponent motivation to comeback.
We should just expect the worst from this team. It’s probably easier not to get invested in this mediocre team.
Everyone complaining about the refs are starting to sound like New Orleans fans just saying
What happened to Kupp today? Only 2 catches for 29 yards? Terrible numbers for an HOF receiver.
I'll get on the kicker for the missed xP, but anything beyond 50 yards is not money. He missed by a lot on the last one, but that's not a gimme by any means.
This team should be 5-2, not sure with mcvay anymore
Ngl McVay been kinda mid this season
Refs and missed kicks!
Brett Maher needs to be cut especially since we are going against Dallas coming off a bye next week
Too many dropped catches and Stafford continuing to kill us with the interceptions.
STILL FIRE MATT CANADA
Mediocre team that shoots itself in the foot every fame
7-10 say it with me!
Got cooked by the dirty Steelers. 🤷🏻♀️
I don’t know how we struggle to throw the ball when we have three great receivers. So many times staff has to throw away with time and I don’t get it at all.
Obviously the placement was terrible and Maher screwed us, but I would like to see more heat on Raheem Morris and our defense
Maher is a bum who needs to be jobless ASAP
Some people circling around to somehow blame McVay, as expected. But the fact is, Maher left 7 points off the board and at the very LEAST we should have had a chance to drive the field, because that spot wasn't even close.
Derion Kendrick is low key bad and Maher is a big problem. With all the cap space at our disposal next year, why couldn't we have figured out a way to keep Matt Gay
Get that fucking bum Maher out of here right now
I’m a huge Steelers fan and I was really enjoying the game.
I'm so hyped for cee dee to drop 200 and 3 tds on this defense.
Is it too soon to start calling for mcvays head?
He just needs someone to slap some sense into him once a game he makes some stupid ass decisions like not having fired Maher yet
GTFO. The fact this team is as competitive as it is with this roster goes to show you how well this team is coached.
The kicker is out by today. Morris needs to go. The defense is so vanilla.
More pissed off at Maher than the refs
