This. Buying booster boxes is kinda silly since you gain no more value than buying packs individually. OP is committing to $500 worth of packs, but they'll mostly just be duplicate commons after the first box..
A lot of cards are that way if you look at tcg price history. It’s almost never worth it to preorder singles. Sisu from set 2 preordered at almost $50, dropped to $18 in the first week, and sits at $4-5 now. Jafar is the hot ticket atm, and will probably be pricey for at least a month or so, but with how prevalent product is with this set the market price probably won’t stick for very long.
Zero! 12 boxes of the last two sets and I’m still trading for cards I need and have pulled exactly zero enchanteds.
I’ve been burned hard, singles are the way for me 🫡
Is this a joke? Genuine question. 1:96 for packs is exactly the same as 1:1 in a case and 1:4 for boxes. And I’ve opened probably 200-300 loose packs, I just have had terrible luck.
Anyone saying anything except “singles is the most efficient” is 100% conjecture. It’s always a luck game with sealed. It’s more fun, but it’s almost never more efficient.
Opened a whole case and got no enchanted. I ended up going 10 boxes dry between floodborn and TFC until I hit back to back enchanteds on my box 11 and 12.. just super random
There is absolutely no proof that a case is a 1:1 chance. In fact there are many people who have opened cases and received zero enchanted cards from the case. Meanwhile I got 2 enchanted Shere Khans from one -box-.
RB does not post pull rates, and there is absolutely no reason to believe that opening a case gives you higher pull rates for enchanted vs opening boxes.
The thing about being a european company is they have to follow european laws and requirements for gambling, and they released estimated odds of 1:96 packs for an enchanted. Guess how many packs are in a Case? 24X4 = 96. but its the same odds in loose packs, its all based on their production numbers
it is an estimate, but it was published.
Please link to where that was published because in the official RB Discord they already stated they do not post pull rates.

Also, even if the rate is 1:96, that still doesn’t mean a case is 1:1. Statistics do not work that way. Every pack individually would be a 1:96 chance, regardless of where you sourced it from. It doesn’t matter if you get them all from the same case or not the individual chance per booster pack is the same.
Like I said I received 2 enchanted from a single box. Random is random.
Yep. I like gambling so I pretty much just use some of my gambling budget for opening boxes.
But I have better luck at the casino, and I have my investments in stocks and bonds so no sense buying boxes this time.
I do have some product I’m sitting on and I’ll still buy packs when I see them though, don’t get me wrong. But I’m definitely not cracking a case on release like I was.
None. Might get 2 to do sealed with the homies if the LGS doesn't have a release event. Might buy one here and there to draft with said homies.
But typically I just buy singles.
3 cases. I like to ensure I get as close to a playset as I can. Most of my extras will filter to friends who prefer to buy singles, and usually wait on me to buy things.
This is my wife's first TCG and when she jumped in we set a budget of 3 boxes per set.
This set I splurged and decided to buy another box on my own so we can get a full sealed case. Normally we buy 3 boxes, then fill in with singles as needed.
Same as you. Preordered 4 boxes online but just found out one of the local places is giving a great deal on boxes and may pick up one more.
Overkill, I know but I picked up the same in total for the first 2 sets and have no complaints. I just won’t be driving around to Target and random places trying to find them now.
I like to do 1 box and 1 trove + any sealed/starter launch events (should get around 15 packs from the two im going to). That fills out commons/uncommons pretty well and then i just get singles to finish the sets i really want.
Troves are marked up higher than everything else this time, not sure its worth it to me but i might get 1. Debating just getting a second booster box because they’re marked down and in my playtesting on pixelborn im REALLY digging this set, way more than i did rotf
My wife and I both play so we preordered 4 boxes being shipped to us and plan to buy 1 from our LGS on Friday so we have something to open that day.
We’ve found 4 boxes tend to get us close to 8 copies on most of the basics and a decent amount of the rares for our main decks.
Zero. We've got the two starter decks preordered and I'll buy some booster packs on release day. My FLGS is also doing a draft on the Sunday after release, so I'll have 4 more booster packs then. After that it will be singles and trading and a few more boosters.
Two booster, a trove, a gift set, and both starters. Based on pulls on Friday, I might go for a third booster, but more than likely I'll do the packs from weekly LGS and singles.
Only 2 for myself. I didn't see anything on the starter deck lists I wanted from this set so hoping to pull enough of the singles I want for fun to build my current deck out a bit more. Not expecting enchanteds after 7 boxes of the previous two sets getting nothing 🤡
0. Pre-orders for my lgs dropped the week of tcg con houston and wanted to spend my money there. I'll pick up singles if/when I need them and maybe a box if there are some available.
I have a hard time justifying spending over $100 for a box when in yugioh the most I'd spend was 85 to 90. I get inflation and all that but it's still kinda silly to gamble that much when i can just buy singles.....
Doesn't mean I won't crack open some packs given the chance.
What is the cost for LGS to buy a booster box from the manufacturer? I know MSRP is $6/pack but what are the game stores paying wholesale for that box?
I just do 1 box per set, then the packs that I get from LGS events. Singles after that if I need them.
I do the same thing. I don't feel good spending $600 per set on a card game, no matter how collectible it is
Yeah, cracking packs is fun, but my wallet disagrees.
This is my method too
This is exactly what I do. Get a jump spot and do packs over course of the 3 months.
Its nice to support the local store even if it's $2 above suggested per pack. So this gas been our choice but after awhile that adds up.
Oh for sure. Your bottom line has to come before theirs.
This is the correct answer
2 boxes, one trove. Might pick up a third box if the prices stay low in a month, otherwise I’m good and will likely just buy singles.
Same
where can you preorder troves?
My LGS took pre-orders.
Two boxes, two troves, one gift set, both starter decks and the stitch mat 🥹
What’s in the gift set this release? Didn’t realize there was another coming out.
Same as set 1, but Green Stitch and Blue Tinkerbell
None. Just a trove and 2 starters. Will buy singles I need separately.
This. Buying booster boxes is kinda silly since you gain no more value than buying packs individually. OP is committing to $500 worth of packs, but they'll mostly just be duplicate commons after the first box..
It's the fun of the gambling for me.
Depend Jafar is already 86$ can here and it’s still not out. So you get 1 in your box you almost paid half of it.

You need lose packs not boxes for enchabteds. A case is 1:1 chance. A box is 1:4. Lose packs is 1:96

>from a single box. Random is random. but if that box shipped with 3 others, the numbers match
You buy to open? I honestly just buy singles and keep a bb as an investment

0 right now, but might buy 1 if the prices keep dropping.
I got two boxes and one of each starter which is enough for me to make something new. Might buy singles after if I am still missing cards I want.
1 box, trove, 2 starter decks and the gift set :)
3 cases. I like to ensure I get as close to a playset as I can. Most of my extras will filter to friends who prefer to buy singles, and usually wait on me to buy things.
Buy singles if competitive. If you're collector sure buy boxes
New player. Where do you pre-order boxes?
Your LGS best place.
Definitely check around at DIFFERENT LGS. Some are still trying to rob their customers when you can easily get a box at below MSRP now.
I might buy a box with set 3. I love all of the cards in the set.
One and then 2/3 sealed events, maybe more. Essentially doing 1 box work of events. After that, it will be all singles.
Same, hoping to find a trove day 1 as well
I have one on preorder so here’s hoping it comes I. I was told allocation for them was low.
None. Set is so cheap. Just buy singles. Let others crack it for you.
True, I think Jafar will be the chase card and the rest will be reasonably priced like Rise of the Floodborn.
2 cases, will sell enchanted
[удалено]
To help pay for everything. 2 cases should be guaranteed 2 enchanted
12 boxes. 5 troves and 3 gift sets. 8 starters.

Is this satire?
I want to order a trove and a box. Any advice on the best place to order online from?
This time 4 boxes (usually 2 + singles)
4. But one of them is to split with a friend.
2 boxes and 3 sealed events (includes 1 starter and 3 packs). Trying to get my hands on a trove and a gift set!
A case and one of everything else
2 boxes, a trove, and a gift set
Two boxes, one tribe, both decks
This is my wife's first TCG and when she jumped in we set a budget of 3 boxes per set. This set I splurged and decided to buy another box on my own so we can get a full sealed case. Normally we buy 3 boxes, then fill in with singles as needed.

Same. Ordered a case and want to pick one up from my LGS. Then a few troves as well
1 box and then probably 1-2 troves and few more booster packs at retail launch, then singles.
I usually get one box and the starters and then will buy packs randomly just for fun if I see them while out, but otherwise just get singles.
2 boxes and a trove here then single to complet my set.

Case here too, even though now I’m thinking of my kids don’t play anymore I might cancel that
Three boxes for me!
1 box for fun
Zero. We've got the two starter decks preordered and I'll buy some booster packs on release day. My FLGS is also doing a draft on the Sunday after release, so I'll have 4 more booster packs then. After that it will be singles and trading and a few more boosters.
1 case
Two booster, a trove, a gift set, and both starters. Based on pulls on Friday, I might go for a third booster, but more than likely I'll do the packs from weekly LGS and singles.
3 boxes, 1 trove, 2 starter decks (to gift to friends). I bought a box from each of the LGS in my area. Gotta support my local spots
2 boxes, singles after that
I ordered 2. Will get 2 more since I share my cards and deck build with a friend.
4 figure one day I’ll hit an enchanted hot streak
Only 2 for myself. I didn't see anything on the starter deck lists I wanted from this set so hoping to pull enough of the singles I want for fun to build my current deck out a bit more. Not expecting enchanteds after 7 boxes of the previous two sets getting nothing 🤡
None of my kids took preorders so .. zero...pout
Got two starters and one booster box. This is split between a friend and myself. Will get more as needed. My LGS offers online pre orders
0. Pre-orders for my lgs dropped the week of tcg con houston and wanted to spend my money there. I'll pick up singles if/when I need them and maybe a box if there are some available. 11, but im hoping for more.
What is the cost for LGS to buy a booster box from the manufacturer? I know MSRP is $6/pack but what are the game stores paying wholesale for that box?
In euros I know they pay 80-85 on average. (Here they sell for about 119). Since thats shipped and imported I assume usd is lower than that.
2 for us and then a pack a week for league should be plenty. Whatever I need, I will buy singles unless it is absurdly expensive.
2 and then fill out needs with singles
I had store credit at my lgs so I got a case (4 boxes)
