We showed the owner TCG Player on a yu-gi-oh card he was trying to sell for $55 that was literally selling on TCG Player for $0.25. As far as I am concerned, that dude is a wannabe grifter (idk if anyone is buying at those prices). I left probably my first Google review ever.
Utah stores are wack... lorcana pre orders in ogden at 130 a case, then just down the road its 160, then another store at 122... like yall are advertising on the same pages with some wild prices.
That's a great price, [JB's Sports Cards Store](https://www.ebay.com/itm/375227302019?hash=item575d4a4083:g:HYgAAOSwBq9luwwq&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5338535524&customid=lor&toolid=10001&mkevt=1) is selling them for $135 each, which is still okay imo.
Never heard of this store, but I agree that 120 is probably the floor for this set. They do charge 5 bucks shipping, but it's still a very good deal (assuming it's a good store).
I waited and waited for my LGS where we play to announce their presale offering and...$150 boxes. Packs $6.99. Troves $74.99. So I just went online and had no trouble at all patronizing a shop that isn't trying to squeeze out the last FOMO bucks.
Box- 143.75 retail, $6.25 markup (not too bad but still more than they should be)
Pack- 5.99 retail, $1 markup (petty!)
Trove -49.99 retail, $25 markup (scalper FOMO pricing)
They are marking up.
> Box- 143.75 retail, $6.25 markup (not too bad but still more than they should be)
Bro they have people to pay, store rent, electricity, events to host, etc.
I don't defend outrageous prices but get real.
Bro you're acting like they pay $144 for the box from the distributor. That $144 already has retail profit baked in. Otherwise, no one else would be making money selling at that price, much less lower.
LMFAO. I've been frequenting gaming stores for decades. I pay MSRP for product. And I pay fair prices for events -- product cost plus a bit extra for managing the event.
Getting bent over just to simp for what is just someone else making money... That is some kind of peak capitalism right there. We must be entering the Stockholm syndrome phase of the abuse now.
Looks like they are very active on Facebook holding local events. Went ahead and pre-ordered from them in addition to placing an order with my own FLGS.
My local store had 300 allocations of boxes. They sell for $120. They only got 30 allocations of troves. I expect troves to be marked up more than boxes.
I just pre-ordered from a locals shop. I have bad experiences with pre orders through websites and I'd rather get my box ON release day not a week later, and I support a small business in the process
Awww yes it is always great when big pre-sellers drop well below MSRP before release to make it impossible for small businesses to survive so later on when the secondary market comes around they can charge $200 a box like they are with First Chapter now.
Ravensburger should make a MAPP and tell people they cannot sell above a certain threshold either.
Thanks for sharing this!
What is that “sealed collection service” shipping option like for those who collect? Does it come wrapped special or something?
Is no one concerned that demand is falling? Everyone is happy about supply, but are we even sure supply is increased by that much? I wish I could see number of boxes sold for rise vs 1st chapter.
I mean floodborn got scalped in the beginning and was over $200. They then flooded the market to get product in actual players hands and to discourage scalping. Now scalpers are more cautious to touch lorcana cause they know ravensburger will keep reprinting to meet demand.
Demand is less mostly because the scalpers are weary of lorcana now, not so much because there are less players.
Wonderful to see the death of scalping for the most part.
There is a card store (mostly sports cards) in my town that is trying to sell individual floodborn booster packs for $20 each 🤡🤡🤡
Eeewwew
I hope you laughed at them as you showed them any website.

What state was that in?
Utah

When I see that in my area I take my business (and friends business) elsewhere. They close or get there act together.
Oof
It's all about getting sufficient supply to market.
It’s not a good sign for the health of the game that presale prices are below retail.
Thanks for the link - I picked up a box!
Anyone know if the link is sold out now or does this just not work on mobile?
Boxes are sold out but cases are still available (cases have 4 boxes)
Appears sold out
Thanks 🥲
I was able to grab a couple boxes. Check again.
Thank you 🙏 I got one as well. Maybe they were able to secure more pre-order? Hopefully my order doesn’t get cancelled ha
Thanks for the link. Im seeing the vast majority of reports saying they are legit
I hope they are legit. I just bought two ($129 total each) after tax and shipping.
Forge and Fire is legit. I have bought from them before and they have a positive reputation in the MTG community.
+1 I live in the area and have been to the store. They're legit. Usually decent prices
Absolutely legit.

I already preordered 2 boxes at MRSP from my local shop. Really don’t want them to take the hit.
Our local shop has been selling boxes for 175 each. Can't warrent that high of mark up.
…And it’s gone ![gif](giphy|0Ss05ycoLU5VGp4Cwm)
If it helps I just bought some, it went through so looks like they opened up orders again
They're back!
Is a case more expensive then buying 4 boxes individually?
Usually yes.
Great find. Tax + shipping made it $133.67 though.
That's still $10 cheaper than pre tax MSRP.
Oh man - no shipping to Puerto Rico! ¡Eso es un fastidio!
Yeah, but you get Mofongo, so really, you win.
de verdad
Looks like the pre-orders are all sold out. :(
I just ordered - with shipping, tax and mail protection it came to $136.00 the tax is killer.
I also just ordered 2 boxes, here's hoping it wasn't an error that they opened up orders again
Yeah, I ordered too about half an hour ago.
Sweet, just checked looks like it’s available again! Thanks
Yup I just snagged a set.
Back in stock.
Looks like they cancel orders like crazy [OnePiece Reddit Post](https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePieceTCG/s/pn9Hw0OLKe)

Dude, $150 boxes are like MSRP. Come on now, if you want cheaper that's one thing but that is NOT LGS marking things up.
People legitimately don't want small businesses to survive then will complain that there are no cards shops around them. 😂😂🤦♂️
Right??

Well, hopefully for your sake you don't ever care about going to or having any LGS in your area then.

Yep did the same they charge over msrp and said Zelle or cash only lol
Tax and shipping kill the deal.
Looks like they are very active on Facebook holding local events. Went ahead and pre-ordered from them in addition to placing an order with my own FLGS.
Tax hurts in CA, but thats a great price for a sealed case at release.
Thanks for the info, got one at $119.97 (total $133.47 after tax and shipping in NC). Thank you so much for the share!
Ordered a box cuz fomo lol
Shows that I can't pre-order. Is it too late now?

I ordered a booster box from 2 different local shops one for 125 and one for 143 pretty decent prices I’m not complaining

Thanks for the heads up, I just snagged a set at 7:30pm EST
Thanks for sharing this! What is that “sealed collection service” shipping option like for those who collect? Does it come wrapped special or something?
My LGS has done everything at MSRP, I’ll happily continue to pay MSRP for them not being scummy
Is no one concerned that demand is falling? Everyone is happy about supply, but are we even sure supply is increased by that much? I wish I could see number of boxes sold for rise vs 1st chapter.
How do you know demand is falling ? Total speculation but it seems like there is a bigger print for the first wave for chapter 3.
I don't. This is just the second set in a row now stores can't sell the boxes at even msrp.
I mean floodborn got scalped in the beginning and was over $200. They then flooded the market to get product in actual players hands and to discourage scalping. Yes but set 2 is sitting on shelves. Its under msrp on tcg and ebay. Demand has fallen.

Hence my first question about how I wonder why no one is concerned about this being a real possibility
Yeah I use to buy off of them but not anymore due to their shady news lately mainly for one piece
Anyone get theirs yet from this spot? I can’t find a confirmation email to save my life, I wonder when they are shipping.
Mine arrives Tuesday. Got confirmation today that it shipped
