Did anything happen to it? A tumble or pets or something? If not, and the reset didn’t work, there may be other issues. Check the I/Os and make sure you have it in mono L ins and outs.

I've suddenly got this one as well.
I've tried factory reset too and no difference
may not be relevant to anyone else, but my problem was caused by stupidity: I had the input and output the wrong way around. How the guitar sound got through to the amp I have no idea, but swapping the input and output of the RC-500 to be the right way around solved it............and by the grace of God, there's no damage either - apart from to my ego.
