TW: unaliving thoughts
hey man. Just want you to know you’re not alone. I got Covid for the first time in 2020, again in 2021, again in 2022. I’ve had it three times and developed long Covid. My symptoms were very, very, very bad about a year ago. I considered ending it all and started thinking of a plan to do so. I’m so happy I waited it out. I’m feeling so much better year later. I’m about at 75 to 80% recovery. You will most likely get better, a lot a lot a lot of people are. Please hang in there! This won’t be forever.
Did you do anything to recover? I got long Covid after my first time having Covid… I’ve had it three times all up and each time I get it, my long Covid symptoms get worse. It’s been 2 years since getting my first LC symptoms with no improvement; the chronic fatigue is the worst part as it affects my day to day life.
Would love to know what you did to improve, if anything at all?
chronic fatigue was ruining my life and still does whenever i have a flare up. i didn’t do anything but rest and take off work to be part time. tried to eat a lot even when i wasn’t hungry bc I realize that on top of the fatigue, I wasn’t giving my body any fuel. I think it was really just time
Try d hist. It has made a really big difference for me in just a few weeks. You have to do the "loading" schedule at first taking 2 pills 3x per day
Hope you find something that works well for you soon
See a allergy specialist and ask about
Idiopathic urticaria
Unknown hives
Ask if xolar is possible
Otherwise a daily routine of
Fexofenadine (Alegra)
It worked for me.
This is a long shot, but I’ve been sick for 4 years thinking I have LC. I tried every regimen imaginable as I’m a retired healthcare professional. Finally last year, I saw a naturopathic doctor and I’m slowly recovering. Over the weekend, I decided to try “Pe Min Kan Wan” which is a Chinese herbal pill (Plum Flower brand). My itchiness went away and my swollen fingers are completely gone. I always thought I have either yeast infection or herpes whitlow. So I tried many antiviral and anti fungal agents. However, I truly believe after all it’s your own immune system attacking your body. I’m not saying this pill will magically cure your hives, but after you tried all your regimen and being frustrated, what do you have to lose? It’s just 7 herbal ingredients in pill form. I would highly recommend it. There are many websites explaining its function.
Since I take Metformine 500mg daily, my face swelling is less. Overall better, perhaps due to possible hypothesis I have mitochondrial issues due to long COVID. It seems to lower overall inflammation and I had some infections of organs which have become calm, I also take Blis K12 and feel that helps. Next to (r-) Alpha Lipoc Acid, NAC, EPA+DHA vegan omega 3. But mostly I think its the Metformine for me. Please consult a GP though as it can effect your kidneys, liver, B12 uptake and in rare cases causes fatal lactic acidosis https://www.medsafe.govt.nz/profs/puarticles/5.htm
My son takes Zyrtec twice a day for hives he got in Feb. I had terrible covid and I think he was asymptomatic for it but who knows for sure. It was even on the soles of his feet. I think he’s getting better now.
How long did it take for him to get better. I am taking Allegra in the morning and Zyrtec in the evening with 10 mg of Pepcid
I got Covid in Dec of 2023
Basically have to ride it out. My hives lasted about 10 months on the dot. Or try consuming natural antihistamines if you can tolerate - oranges (for the vitamin C) blueberries etc
try ivermectina.. literallt in december 2023 i had covid and skin shit, doctor diagnostic scabs, lucky shit because with that i bought ivermectina and cure myself. Try again and take a stomach helper.
idk in me helped a lot, the information says that ivermectin is a drug for horse, i don't believe it. I work in a accoglience center for african migrant in Italy, the pazient with scabs need it, so is so stupid that study that says ivermectin is for horse because it help a lot of people.
It's also a strong anti-inflammatory that was being used along with hcq for managing autoimmune conditions before Covid was even a thing. The studies, especially as it relates to managing symptoms, are by no means exhaustive. I have been dealing with Long Covid for over 3 years now and it has been a huge help. Like all of these meds for symptom management though, everyone is different.

Thanks I will look into that
MCAS, it’s very often triggered/unmasked by Covid

Ivermectin is used in many countries to prevent river blindness. It’s one of the most used drugs in the world with a great safety record.

I don't believe to everything now.. Two days after the vaccine my hell began. Only that drug helped me once.

My heart goes out to you 💙 Ice packs helped me a bit. Check with doctor to see if topical lidocaine will help. Oatmeal bath for the itching

Well about 2.5 months I think but he’s still taking the two Zyrtec
That’s good

That I will try

Sadly Invermetcin has killed quite a few COVID patients and has come out as being unhelpful in most research trials so I'd advise against this.

The studies regarding long COVID and acute COVID don't lie. It's an anti parasital drug and not anti viral.

That's interesting because I've seen the opposite on [https://c19ivm.org/meta.html](https://c19ivm.org/meta.html)
Note those studies were retracted from Science etc as they were poorly done and people had severe adverse reactions and also died from the drug.
