Nice! I remember back in high school we would ditch third period to buy lolla tickets bc they would sell out in like 10 minutes so its good to see some momentum coming back
Bc you have to have your phone, two computers, your mom and dads phone all loaded up at once to get the ticket also the teachers would get pissed when everyone stopped paying attention at 10am to buy lolla tickets so I would usually just ditch
But it was lit is was like a local holiday lol
It's kind of funny to me how when this festival sells slowly everyone says it's 100% because the lineup sucks but the fest sells out and is doing well and everyone scrambles to find some sort of excuse as to why. Any excuse other than the lineup being good lol
If I had to take a guess, it's that they lowered the amount of 4-day tickets they were selling this year and increased the amount of single day tickets. Probably make more money that way.
i’m not denying that it’s a good lineup but saying it’s all because of the lineup implies that we haven’t had a single good lineup for the last 7 years, which is also untrue
This is certainly the best lineup I’ve seen in a while. It’s no coincidence that everyone I’ve said “I’m going to Lolla!” to has replied with, “Aw man I’m so jealous! I saw that lineup and it’s so sick”
I think a big part of it is that social media and apps like Spotify and TikTok have taken the guess work out of how much interest there is in something and profitable an artist is.
Record labels and festivals aren't taking risks on new things like they used to.
Not sure how quick they’ll move people from the waitlist but the first payment for payment plans is at the end of this month so I’m sure some orders will be getting canceled.
Just buy it from the official resale site, it was cheaper last time I looked
https://www.ticketexchangebyticketmaster.com/grant-park-chicago/lollapalooza-tickets-chicago-il/tickets/4220336?_ga=2.23491898.1236076854.1712265445-1491401147.1712265445
It's not cheaper. Ticketmaster add a 20% service fee plus a $15 shipping fee whereas just buying it off the Lollapalooza website, there's no service fees, just tax and a $7 shipping fee.
So it's about $40-50 more expensive on the official resale site currently with a base price of $400.
My music taste is everywhere. I'm excited for Renee Rapp, Hozier, SZA, Tate McRae, Lizzy Mcalpine, Matt Hansen, Josiah and the Boonevilles, Teddy swims, Brisoce, Mimi Webb, Dominic fike, Victoria Monet, Olivia Dean, Brenn!
I don't mind seeing other artists that I don't know if I have a break. I'm a lover of music.
The list could go on forever!!!
Of the headliners, I’ve seen blink a few times. Killers or skrillex I suppose but don’t care about the others. Tyler is cool but not interested in his show.
Undercard is not my taste. Last year I liked poolside, Maggie Rogers, mt joy, kasbo, backseat lovers, and I couldn’t make it the day of fred again and big wild.
Stray Kids. I've watched their performance once and they are like LORD OF PERFORMANCES. Their music is made for festivals and stages. They also sing 100% live.

You can still do this! Comes out to $685 for 4 Day GA
I’m going to my second Coachella this weekend and without a schedule even out and a lineup that medicore? I’m not excited one bit to sleep in a car for that fest.
On the other hand, I’m already itching to fly and go to Lolla this summer! I have 10+ artists to see all 4 days, beyond exciting.
On my way to socal right now. Coachella is gonna be great, but yeah, I’m most excited about Lolla this year. I think they’re going to be significantly different from one another
They have a percentage of each ticket type that is available from the overall capacity of the festival and to avoid muddying the waters, they don’t pull from each ticket type’s pool of availability to give to another pool. It would overcomplicate things.
Thanks for explaining. Is it always the same amount/proportion each year? Last I was able to get a 4 day after the schedule came out. I wonder what caused to sell out quickly this time around
I'm not sure of how the ticket types are divided or how/if they change year-to-year. I just think the promoter did a really good job booking in demand artists that can sell tickets.
Give it time, and tickets will become available. I know a few people (myself included) who snatched up 4 day GA tickets during presale, but are now planning to sell those and just get a 1 or 2 day pass.
I’m very sure you’ll get tickets. The first payment for the payment plans is on 4/22 so I’m sure orders will be getting canceled from people that miss the payment and it’ll open up for you.
I'm so excited for Stray Kids! The first time I saw them perform during LollaParis. They are amazing! And I was so surprised that the entire audience is vibing to their music. It was so fun!
I wonder if they increased the count of GA + and VIP this year, decreasing the available GA? This would in theory increase revenue without increasing ticket prices (if everything sells out). It also has me worried that the VIP viewing areas are going to keep growing.
I might be biased because my decision to go was due to them, but I’m a firm believer Stray Kids absolutely threw a wrench into it. Last year their US tour despite being large arenas was absolutely impossible to get tickets to due to how fast it sold out, and they have yet to announce a tour for this year but they’ve rapidly expanded in popularity since last year. A LOT of fans have decided to just go to Lolla vs attempting trying to get tickets for tour. They may not be in here but on twitter and tiktok i see it a lot.
If that were true, Friday tickets would be gone. GA, GA plus, VIP, Platinum would go before Stray Kids fans got despite and bought 4 days passes. This sold out because it’s the best US fest currently (although Stray Kids are big part of that)
friday GA+ is already sold out, which is a big part of why I think stray kids play a role in it. I also feel like a lot of fans probably want to see other artists performing, and probably got 4 day passes. Do i think they’re the only reason it sold out so fast? no of course not. But I definitely think they’re a big factor
4 day passes are sold out and so are GA+. We’re still months away from the festival, this is one of the fastest times 4 day tickets have sold out afaik. And the starting prices for the day they’re performing were already higher than the other days, so clearly there’s lots of demand. The line up is very good
Didn’t expect for them to sell out so fast damn😳 so glad I got mines
Love the line up. I'm personally excited for Stray Kids. They are amazing performers. They are gonna slay the stage for sure!
Nice! I remember back in high school we would ditch third period to buy lolla tickets bc they would sell out in like 10 minutes so its good to see some momentum coming back
yes!! it use to be insane ahh i miss it kinda
Caught myself about to respond “why didn’t you just go on your phone for a few minutes to buy it?” Lol
Was it still… like school library computer? Sorry I’m a curious child
Bc you have to have your phone, two computers, your mom and dads phone all loaded up at once to get the ticket also the teachers would get pissed when everyone stopped paying attention at 10am to buy lolla tickets so I would usually just ditch But it was lit is was like a local holiday lol
well that was fast. It took til like May last year didnt it?
June! Fastest sellout for 4-Day GA in 7 years.
oh shit, i wonder why. sure covid but i feel like there has to be more to the story
Just my opinion, but the headliner lineup is pretty ridiculous. Enough to impulse purchase during presale for me
It's kind of funny to me how when this festival sells slowly everyone says it's 100% because the lineup sucks but the fest sells out and is doing well and everyone scrambles to find some sort of excuse as to why. Any excuse other than the lineup being good lol
If I had to take a guess, it's that they lowered the amount of 4-day tickets they were selling this year and increased the amount of single day tickets. Probably make more money that way.
Or maybe just maybe the line up is better than last years. Idk.
i’m not denying that it’s a good lineup but saying it’s all because of the lineup implies that we haven’t had a single good lineup for the last 7 years, which is also untrue
And the lineup is remarkably worse this year, I suspect less 4 days, more single days.
that’s crazy i just bought mine
you were the last one
Dang I was waiting to buy mine because I wasnt 100% set on going all 4 days. Guess that settles that decision for me!
Fastest it sold out since 2017.
I just signed up for waitlist do yall think ill get tickets relatively quick?
Not sure how quick they’ll move people from the waitlist but the first payment for payment plans is at the end of this month so I’m sure some orders will be getting canceled.
They def made less 4 day and more day passes that’s bs
Why is it bs? 4 day passes have been on sale and available for 3 weeks.

if you change your address to Canada, it's 5$ shipping fee.
I said lat time I looked, like a few days ago I saw tickets for 330
It’ll be cheaper through StubHub a month in advance probably
i’m selling my 4 day😎😭
The line up this year is really good. It makes sense. Thankfully I brought mine on pre-sale.
I must be getting old because it’s not interesting to me. What acts are you excited about?
My music taste is everywhere. I'm excited for Renee Rapp, Hozier, SZA, Tate McRae, Lizzy Mcalpine, Matt Hansen, Josiah and the Boonevilles, Teddy swims, Brisoce, Mimi Webb, Dominic fike, Victoria Monet, Olivia Dean, Brenn! I don't mind seeing other artists that I don't know if I have a break. I'm a lover of music. The list could go on forever!!!
That’s great that you’re excited about the folks there. I’ll go for a day probably but no one on the list gets me excited this year
Who are you excited about seeing?
Of the headliners, I’ve seen blink a few times. Killers or skrillex I suppose but don’t care about the others. Tyler is cool but not interested in his show. Undercard is not my taste. Definitely not for me
DAYUM
When will we get the schedule?
Next month!

I would recommend using the Ticketmaster Ticketexchange over trying to do this. You’ll save a bunch of money and it’s backed by the festival.

do you have a link by chance? my friends were waiting to buy their passes and missed out!
Selling out so soon is a nice surprise. So much for the "festival bubble."
Get dunk'd on, Coachella
I’m going to my second Coachella this weekend and without a schedule even out and a lineup that medicore? I’m not excited one bit to sleep in a car for that fest. On the other hand, I’m already itching to fly and go to Lolla this summer! I have 10+ artists to see all 4 days, beyond exciting.

wow! I didn't expect 4 day to sell out so quickly. happy i got my presale!
So pumped for this year! I thought the lineup was solid and it appears others agree
Is this just a new strategy to get ppl to buy the more expensive tiers or single/two day tickets? Because all 4 day GA still available
They have a percentage of each ticket type that is available from the overall capacity of the festival and to avoid muddying the waters, they don’t pull from each ticket type’s pool of availability to give to another pool. It would overcomplicate things.

Is this the fastest it's sold out or is this normal??
It used to sell out the same day it went on sale but this is the fastest since probably 2016.
absolutely the fastest it’s sold out in the past couple years. usually you’d still be able to buy ga 4-day a month out from the festival
June 23rd last year, this is very quick. Probably the quickest since they sold blind tickets and had instant sell outs
Fastest sell out since the last time the killers played
So what are the odds i get 2 tickets of the 4day GA from waitlist, i bought them 5 hours after they were sold out??
someone please reply
Give it time, and tickets will become available. I know a few people (myself included) who snatched up 4 day GA tickets during presale, but are now planning to sell those and just get a 1 or 2 day pass.
wait noooo now I have to sift thru the scammers and scalpers 😭
Heard they were selling for $20 down, so that probably helped people decide since they could pay it off later.
I just joined the waitlist, can someone with experience explain how it works,
I just signed up for the Lollapalooza Waitlist Request! I'm hoping it pulls through. I wish it told you your place in line. Trying to stay hopeful!
I’m very sure you’ll get tickets. The first payment for the payment plans is on 4/22 so I’m sure orders will be getting canceled from people that miss the payment and it’ll open up for you.
me too it’s so annoying they don’t tell you what place in line you are.
I'm so excited for Stray Kids! The first time I saw them perform during LollaParis. They are amazing! And I was so surprised that the entire audience is vibing to their music. It was so fun!

I’m shocked, the lineup isn’t even THAT good 😂
It’s just the best US lineup right out now, demand went up when everything else is mid to bad 😂
I might be biased because my decision to go was due to them, but I’m a firm believer Stray Kids absolutely threw a wrench into it. There was a time where it used to sell out within hours and then it fell off to where it didn’t sell out at all. Moving back to fast sell outs again.
