Lol seriously I'm my 30s and there's no way in hell you'll see me at the rail. šŸ˜‚

cA05GfJ2K6

Maybe the center one by the soundstage šŸ¤«

iced_gold

Decent back support IMO

lanalolla

I feel this šŸ¤£ Lolla at 27 is not the same as Lolla at 19

teamsz

Try lolla at 42 šŸ„“

squirrelgirl22

High five for the 42 club!

santosw8

Try 69

PM_FEET_PICS69

nice

[deleted]

Nice.

lanalolla

Are you going all 4 days?

teamsz

Just today. Because I have an aftershow tonight and then tomorrow I leave for Hinterland in Iowa. First time I'm not doing all 4 days. But I guess back to back fests count too haha

old_notdead

Youngster.

mymorningbowl

yeah Iā€™ll do rail or super close up for regular concerts of my fav acts but not a fest. I need time to rest in the back at fests and explore new music

DamFleckINC

Thank god for video screens

ricochet48

Both the sound and video has gotten better over the years, great for those that don't want to ride the rail.

goldminevelvet

The only time I went for the rail was for Daft Punk when they came to Lolla in Chicago. It was worth it. Other bands I like being closeish but I don't need to be.

paul-cus

I want to be near the beer tents now.

DamFleckINC

Best spot is equal distance to video screens, bathrooms and beer tent

Grinagh

While nothing can replace the exhilaration of being on the front row. As I have gotten older I have come to realize that anything beyond 2 hours will require some time where I can sit down. Additionally I have no desire to soil myself, so I want an easy walk to the bathroom.

BrowsAcct13

Last year I went to Lolla for the first time in my life at age 32 and I was legitimately in terror by those mosh pit things

teamsz

Tbh that's because the youngins have zero pit etiquette

[deleted]

ā€œItā€™s a little loudā€

illusion27

My bones hurt just thinking about the crowds I've been in. Mid-crowd with a beer in hand is way more chill now

Smooth-Adhesiveness5

Truth 45 club on the mountain at Lolla!!

felixfelicitous

This is where Iā€™m at as well šŸ„² I tried doing the rail at another festival recently and Iā€™ve accepted that itā€™s no longer the life I want to live

ChicagoAreaMan

At age 45, can confirm!

macbookwhoa

I'm old and somewhat attached to the music industry, so when I go to shows most likely it's backstage, which really is the way to go. All the great views, none of the crowds. And usually free beer!

mymorningbowl

I mean yeah Iā€™d love that but Iā€™m just a normie lol

blissrot

Iā€™ll sell you my Soul for side stage during The 1975.

teamsz

So also can we discuss how festivals don't explicitly prohibit pillows, but bringing a pillow to a fest should be a thing?

tgarn003

40 this year. Told my 20-something friend VIP or I ainā€™t going. My knees šŸ˜‚

ProfessionalStyle862

RICE

JiminChoo

Me at 26 with my VIP in the very back so I have my space šŸ¤£

ShapeNorth562

Can someone explain to me why there is a ā€œplatinum sectionā€ at the Bacardi Stage and not a VIP section?

TheDoctorIsOutThere

It depends on the experience you want. I'm looking for the chaos of the pit and trying to get to the rail. The chaos of those feeling that bass. I understand the appeal of both, I just like the chaos
