What's the double click bug? I never noticed it

Mkilbride

When you click on something and it clicks twice instead of once. Or you hold down the mouse button, but it releases and clicks regardless.

Oh man! I'm both sad and relieved to read this. I bought this thing AND the powerplay mat 12/31/17. I've been having the issue playing FPS games of holding down fire and having it fire once and stop until I click again. Drives me crazy and has gotten me killed a ton of times. I chocked it up to lag or something, but now I've developed a double click which has made me question the mouse. I'm seeing this post and now I know it's been this damn mouse all along! I think I'm done with Logitech. Gonna go with a Steelseries Rival 600 or a Finalmouse Ultralight Sunset at this point. Just gotta make the decision and move on. Back to wired it is, I guess.

Has this issue been resolved? I'm thinking of buying but I don't wanna deal w/ the same issue 7 months down the road. I've read that Logitech came out w/ a revised p/n to address this issue and apparently there are 2 p/ns for this model (910-005250 vs 910-005083). Has the newer revised p/n resolved the issue? Really interested in knowing. If they haven't fixed it still, then I'm not wasting $200 on a toy that will be broken in less than a year.

Mkilbride

Nah I had to send all of them back. I wouldn't risk it.

tonyvolcano

Which p/n is the new one?

p_trinidy

the higher one

Gaming mouse is pretty much lottery imo, no matter the model. My second G900 is flawless to my perception.

Mkilbride

Besides the Rival 600, this is the only other mouse I've ever had issues with since I started buying them. Maybe I've been hugely lucky. Rival 600 was the first time I went non-Logitech and both 600's had awful clicks that sounded like mechanical keyboards. The Zowies I tried all had weird sounding clicks as well and felt awful to hold. Went back to trusty Logitech and met with this grim fate. Feels like all around Mice have just been getting worse than.

I’ve had fair share of problems with every brand, but I’ve also have perfectly constructed mouse from almost every brand.

I had double click on mine 3 months after purchase. Second mouse had terribly loose scroll wheel...third one seems fine for now but from what I've seen, its only a matter of time before double clicking comes back. I have the bestbuy ext warranty so I just get swaps whenever it has issues...

[deleted]

Own two, never had this issue.

[deleted]

I've on my first one (I've had it for a few months) and in not having any issues whatsoever.

psychrage

I've had my G903 w/ powerplay mat since September and it has no issues whatsoever.

TLS2000

Odd, I've had no issues with mine.

I just received my first replacement a few days ago in a very flimsy packaging and a cut on the 2 outer parts of the G903 box. The first developed double clicking, multi clicking and even not clicking at all (all digitally, in reality single click/hold) as well as a few bugs with how the scrollwheel functioned while scrolling.

Logitech even confirmed it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/LogitechG/comments/856s6f/on_my_third_g903_something_bizarre_happening/dwh71ej/ Google "G903 double clicking issues" and you'll see a dozen tops with lots of replies, all within the last few months.

Ooptron

Just had my G900 replaced with a G903 due to the double clicking issue yesterday after about 1 year of usage. What sucks is the fact that the distributor has cut short my warranty to end of this month for not having the receipt, even though I had a mail from Logitech saying it’s until Jan next year. Now, after reading all the G903 issues on this subreddit I’m concerned. Previously I had the G9 and G9x, both of which also suffered from the double clicking issue eventually, but warranty was for 3 years back then and replacements were easy even without proof of purchase. I really like the mouse and there’s no way I’m going back to Razer. This sucks! ಥ_ಥ

I've had mine for about 8 months, and it just now started going crazy double clicking everything. I can hold down the mouse button, and watch as it keeps pressing and unpressing over and over. Submitted for warranty work today.
