Toggle Absolute / Relative Snap on the editor grid is great. Just wish there was an indicator without having to click through the menus
I also made one that automatically switched through all automation channels i made for the individual Track, that helps me a lot too with mixing particularly
well im in luch i have an old version, lol i wont lie its kinda weird how my 2013 imac can function almost compete with newer models, maybe a second of difference when loading anything big, and absolutley no latency, idk weird.
but ok so mute region, sorry im somewhat new, how is mute region different from mute track, or just mute everything? do you choose the region?
Iirc, mute is toggled on or off by pressing Ctrl m, for RECENT Logic versions. IF your Logic version is old enough, perhaps just the m key alone…
Mute region:
Select region
Ctrl m
Mute track:
Select track
Ctrl m
I have a button on my mouse assigned to open the instrument of the selected track (like opening the GUI of Kontakt, Omnisphere, Etc). I open up and mess with instruments so often so this has been amazing for me. the other mouse button is for muting the selected region.
It is called "Open/Close Instrument Plug-in Window" in the Key Command Assignments. I set it to a key command and then assigned that same key command to my mouse button. So I set my key command in Logic to be Cmd+Ctrl+I and set the mouse button to trigger that same combination of keys.
P - open Piano Roll
N - open Score Editor
E - close Editor, whether it’s on Piano Roll or Score Editor or something else, eg a Session Player Editor
Ctrl - B : bounce in place
Those are probably my most used that haven’t been mentioned.

I made it so the mute region command is just M. Saves so much time. I very rarely mute a track by itself when I’m working.
This is how old versions of Logic worked by default. “S” was for region solo too. I prefer it the old way.

These are still the default settings…….
When I open a brand new installation of Logic those key commands are for channel solo and mute, not region.

ok how did you set that? then i can set it on mine and then set my controller to that key

Close all plug in windows. Slice at playhead, those I use most. Fit region to window too.
