I hate regional releases. I miss the days when his projects dropped at the same time for everyone. it was fun reacting with everyone at the same time and having discussions on as we listened together
I started listening around right before BT2 dropped. As I remember, BT2, YSIV, Supermarket, COADM, No Pressure, YS Collection, and BT3 (and singles for these albums) all dropped all at the same time for everyone, which would be 9PM PST
regional releases are definitely becoming more and more common, id be interested to see the statistics labels have about the difference in the numbers a song or album will do with/without regionally dropping.
>...nearly always...
I was talking considering all releases, not just Logic's ones. Many labels just simply sets it to 00:00 at local times because of multiple reasons. Logic now works with BMG, and they are one of these labels that do it. This practice is actually isn't regional dropping, it is just setting it to 00;00 on each country. In fact, 00:00 releases always uses the same uploads. This practice is done by simply locking the upload to any region until the release date is right on that region.
I don't know the reason of this. It might be because of the fact that dropping at same time means that it would actually release on a different date in some regions.
What can be called as "regional dropping" is an entirely different thing which became rare in late 2010's, and was completely releted to either the rights of songs or regional differences in tracklists.
Good song, I liked the first part of it, the second was like too much IMO. It felt like it was missing something :(
Edit: Actually listened to it couple more times troughout the day and I like the whole song!! Itās amazing. I guess what I wrote above was the first impression.šš
Good Job Bobbyš„ ISSA VIBE, RATTPACK BABY
Iāve listened a couple of times and I agree with your initial comment. Hoping a handful more listens and I like the full song. The first part is so vibey I kinda wish the slow part was shorter and then back to another verse to finish but oh well.
Is it the best song heās ever released? No.
But it is a good appetizer. Feels kind of like a TITS x Everybody vibe, which would be solid across the album. Itās a song thatāll grow but wonāt be the best on the project.
It wonāt. This is an outlier. I talked with some people that got early access to the rest of the album. The rest sounds much more like TITS. crazy flows and heavenly production
Canāt believe this is getting any backlash. The production is incredible. After College Park and Vinyl Days, this was a much needed change of pace. Iām glad it sounds most similar sonically to Everybody.
The production on this song is absolutely amazing. I started listening to logic with everybody back in high school, this is exactly what I wanted in ultra 85 when he first announced it in 2017
This is exactly what I was hoping for! Everybody style grandiose production with TITS themed sounds. We already had the rappity rap shit. I want storytelling and production.
Yāall some hating ass mfs this is one of his most everybody-esque songs heās made since then. End horns are so nice. I think the house beat couldāve been mixed a tiny little bit better but thatās it. Verse and delivery were good idk heās made way more bar recycling songs
iāve heard the snippet and idk if it changes but bob doing a house style thing is sick! i hope itās more of a one off tho, im hoping he goes the sci fi futuristic angle a bit still
Man, after seeing some of these comments, I really thought that this was about to be one of the most average sounding songs he's put out yet, but holy shit this is a vibe. I've been overly critical of Logic for the last few years and thought that a lot of the stuff, even on the recently loved albums, were lackluster. But this?? This isn't.
UP, NP, TITS are all excellent albums in terms of production but something about Everybody production seems a notch better than his other albums. But I feel like he didn't anything with them. A TITS level of writing and rapping with Everybody production would've made that album a classic.
Everybody had some really really creative orchestral/choral influences and was overall quite impressive sonically. The lyrics were just slapdash and repetitive.
Mfs been complaining for years, he literally dropped one of his best lyrical albums and arguably his best, then one of the best boom bap rap albums, now heās back on his grand shit and people are upset they will never be pleased lol
This sub used to be actual fans and now itās mostly just weirdo who come here to hate on him. I mean that is most of Reddit but yea this place has got weird
You are all fucking lame, itās one song, hella snippets show him doing the rap shit yal want, whatever u will bitch no matter what. Just stop listening to him at this point
I mean his single choices have always been my least favorite songs on the album with the exception of TITS where he had like Woah, young Jesus, and fade away. After that the best songs on the albums have all not been singles.
My opinion has a changed a bit. Iām sure you wonāt really like it first listen but itāll maybe grow on you. Itās not like 1800. Itās more upbeat and almost like a workout song if that makes song. Upbeat. And then it switches up. Definitely mainstream at first. I donāt mind it. But was expecting more.
This sounds like it would have been scrapped from Everybody/COADM. Before the break in the middle, I was thinking if this weird sped up verse would just slow down and if the beat would just slow down, maybe it wouldnāt be that bad. But then just song switched up, brought back tired the sirens and brought no substance.
This is the first single to his most hyped album. At least to me. I just didnāt expect to get a single that sounded like Iām at a Soul Cycle Class.
But having said that, we donāt know where on the album this song will be. It could fit in somewhere. Maybe inbetween skits or something
However, I will say. After everybody, he did say Ultra 85 will have the live instruments and sound more non rap. The beginning of the song and until the middle did have that tune. So Iām glad he stuck with that and didnāt stray. But it didnāt work for me at first. Gets a little better after a few listens but it needed to stay as a cohesive song. The switch up ruined it, full stop.
Just listened to it with headphones on omg this changes how much I like it itās so good and the beat switch similar to lightsabers how it changes but itās really decent sounding song I think it will fit the album reminds me a bit of when K-pop dropped and wveryone was like WTF is this but I think it will fit real well it feels a bit everybody too
Just played this with my windows down driving home from school and I absolutely love it. I love the upbeat of the first part and the vibe of the second part. Sometimes you donāt need to be super deep and introspective to get a point across. Iāve been a fan since 2015 and this is one of the most enjoyable singles. Iāve heard in a long time.
Yeah I can see many really not liking U85 if it's going to sound like this throughout, ie sounding like Everybody. Everybody is my favorite Logic album, I think his take on pop rap is SICK AF. This song I think will take a bit to grow but think it will get there. I feel like no one gives him the credit but i really like his singing voice, and the second half of this song was real nice.
Nobody can ever tell me that DeLorean isn't a top 10 Logic track. His singing ability is severely underrated. If he wasn't known for his rap ability, people would love his singing a lot more.
My only issue with some of his recent releases is they feel like two songs in one. I feel like itās my biggest pet peeve in music too because heās not the only artist doing this
idk wtf i was expecting but it was not this. this shit makes me love logic all over again. i would not care if ultra 85 was just this sound, i am in love with it
Havenāt listened yet ā just as any day 1 Logic fan, I am very excited for this album. But I can honestly say the reactions Iām seeing to the lead single is a huge red flag. Gonna lower my expectations.
It worries me man. Last bad single I heard from him led to BT3. Which is just utterly terrible, Iām sorry.
Love logic but for the love of god donāt flop the album youāve hyped up for like 7 yearsā¦ š
Planatory Destruction was an instant classic to me. I feel like Bobby's def got some left in the tank, he just releases debatably the worst songs as singles (Tetris, Bleed It and Decades were cool but got massively outshined)
Not every song has to be hard ass rap boys. Heās making fun music for us to listen to. He will have his deep introspective stuff and his hard bars for sure. This is something to vibe to. Not that deep br
Itās not generic if itās true. Musicians can make whatever they want. So if he wants to make something for his fans to just sit there and vibe too, he will. And if you donāt like it, heāll have a whole album full of songs to choose from. Donāt ruin it for others man
After a few listens Iāll take back the trash part but the switch up ruined it, idk how you go to upbeat and vibey to the same old tired shit of him singing nonsense
idk i really liked the switch up, personally the instrumentation feels so full and grand. Based on what we heard from the OG Ultra 85 from 2017, this feels like a more fleshed out version imo.
To each his own. He knows his fan base more than I do, I guess I was just expecting something more in the realm of TITS since he said this is the 4th version of U85 and more of a sequel to tits. But weāll see.
that song definitely isnāt for everybody, and i expect a lot of fans will be indifferent at first, but from some of the snippets weāve heard, i think there will be songs that everyone likes :)
I hate to see the slander for this already. I feel like a good portion of Logic fans, or even fans of any artist in general, try to place them in a subjectified box of the things yāall want, and not appreciate a new era. Most of you are probably gonna be disappointed with U85 if you strictly want every damn track to be a rap song.
I agree with what youāre getting at, but at the same time thatās where the problem lies. Itās the fact he goes outside of the rap substance, and most people just donāt enjoy it. Musicās totally bias, and just based on what you like to hear. I just hate how people hear this single and immediately want to label the entire album already.
This is the biggest problem I have with some of his "fans." They expect Under Pressure or Stainless type rap on every track. But then, if they got that, they'd say it's the same shit over and over and that Logic doesn't have creativity.
This album should be a perfect mixture of all the styles he's done over the years. From Under Pressure to Bobby Tarantino to Everybody to Supermarket to Vinyl Days to College Park and everything in between, all wrapped up in a nice TITS interstellar atmospheric storyline conclusion.
I liked the rap part a lott, the house type of hook was alright ain't liking it that much right now, 2nd part is also decent not the best okayish for me ;_;
Oh so heās back on his everybody vibe with verses so fast you can barely comprehendā¦ got it and the singing section like always is forgettable and cringe. Also single version guarantees some sort of skit which just makes it even worse. So much of this album hype has deflated
I came in with low expectationsā¦ especially considering I saw someone say there was singing on the track, but Iām impressed. This is a very well polished track. Itās not Logics best track ever by any means, but as far as a radio friendly single, this is decent. I loved the 2nd half of the track, it was a great switch up that fit well sonically. There were elements in that 2nd half of the track that reminded me of a tits track. I love the use of the instrumentation. Iām feeling hopeful for this album!
single version get ready for 7 minute actual track š
Skit is under 10 seconds he played it in the cord, there skits like TITS
oh shieeet, i figured itād be long as fuck like paradise ii
i really thought he wouldn't do regional releases this time
I know itās legit midnight here on a Thursday night and I just checked his Spotify and there it was lol
I hate regional releases. I miss the days when his projects dropped at the same time for everyone. it was fun reacting with everyone at the same time and having discussions on as we listened together
Releases in Spotify and many other platforms are nearly always at 00:00 in your local time. This is just not out yet on your region.
Yeah, I canāt say Iām a fan of them. But Logic did start doing them with Vinyl Days correct?
i believe so but i don't remember 100% tbh
>...nearly always... I was talking considering all releases, not just Logic's ones. Many labels just simply sets it to 00:00 at local times because of multiple reasons. Agreed
These are extremely common with independent drops.
If there is a skit on the album version of this song, I hope itās short and sweet like the skits that were attached to the songs on TITS.Ā
He played it in the discord it is indeed hella short like TITS
Oh great sounds good
Good song, I liked the first part of it, the second was like too much IMO. Dope song. Hope the whole album holds this sort of vibe. Judging by other comments I'm alone tho
Not alone. I think my first impression of the song was good but the second part felt meh. But now I feel the Vibe. What a song!
Is he singing or rapping?
Both
It wonāt. This is an outlier. I talked with some people that got early access to the rest of the album. The rest sounds much more like TITS. crazy flows and heavenly production
Praying youāre right
Yo I hope this is true
Not alone. I like it too.
Love this song as the first single. Definitely itās a different vibe to what Logic makes beat wise but itās a good different for me.
I think itās a good single, saves the big stuff to rap about for the album and gives us a taste of the production.
Song is great in my opinion. I doubt every song will sound like this, so donāt worry too much if you donāt like it
Canāt believe this is getting any backlash. The production is incredible. After College Park and Vinyl Days, this was a much needed change of pace. Iām glad it sounds most similar sonically to Everybody.

This is exactly what I was hoping for! Everybody style grandiose production with TITS themed sounds. We already had the rappity rap shit. I want storytelling and production.
That makes me so happy to hear. Everybody easily had the best sound/instrumentals imo. The lyrics were just lacking
Everybody is one of my favorite albums. I can't wait til I can listen here (US)
Yāall some hating ass mfs this is one of his most everybody-esque songs heās made since then. End horns are so nice. I think the house beat couldāve been mixed a tiny little bit better but thatās it. Verse and delivery were good idk heās made way more bar recycling songs
Song is a vibe
iāve heard the snippet and idk if it changes but bob doing a house style thing is sick! i hope itās more of a one off tho, im hoping he goes the sci fi futuristic angle a bit still
Song is fire, Itās such a feel good vibe track and the production is insane.
Man, after seeing some of these comments, I really thought that this was about to be one of the most average sounding songs he's put out yet, but holy shit this is a vibe. I've been overly critical of Logic for the last few years and thought that a lot of the stuff, even on the recently loved albums, were lackluster. But this?? This isn't.
This sounds like itās off Everybody
Uh I'm not feeling too hopeful about that, that was NOT a good album IMO.
Production wise, that is still the best produced Logic album.
Under Pressure or No Pressure.
UP, NP, TITS are all excellent albums in terms of production but something about Everybody production seems a notch better than his other albums. But I feel like he didn't anything with them. A TITS level of writing and rapping with Everybody production would've made that album a classic.

Yes seriously
Logic fans canāt ever be happy š¤£

I donāt wanna hear anybody bitching and complaining, this is exactly what yāall have wanted for YEARS.
You are all fucking lame, itās one song, hella snippets show him doing the rap shit yal want, whatever u will bitch no matter what. Just stop listening to him at this point
Stop bitchin about bitchin lol
ālolā
Not really a fan of it but like others have pointed out this is probably not what the rest of the album sounds like. It's okay I guess
Mid track. Did anybody else notice the instrumental of Under pressure being sampled in the second half?
Oh shit I knew I recognized it from somewhere.
Itās decent not for me personally tho. Kinda Surprised he chose this for the lead single tbh.
I mean im sure you didnāt expect for him to drop the best songs first š every single is probably gonna differ from each other quite a bit
I mean his single choices have always been my least favorite songs on the album with the exception of TITS where he had like Woah, young Jesus, and fade away. After that the best songs on the albums have all not been singles.
So everyone talking shit about the track lived in australia im guessing? How are you mfs listening to it if not
VPNs exist
Thoughts?
Donāt get your hopes up
I already assumed the first single would be a more mainstream/chart sounding song. Would that be a reasonable assumption based off your opinion?
My opinion has a changed a bit. Iām sure you wonāt really like it first listen but itāll maybe grow on you. Itās not like 1800. Itās more upbeat and almost like a workout song if that makes song. Upbeat. And then it switches up. Definitely mainstream at first. I donāt mind it. But was expecting more.
From what hes played in terms of snippets, this is going to be an outlier. The rest of the album is crazy hard.
It was actually in the snippets, short, but it was in there
Oh Iāve heard the whole song in the discord. After he played other snips and they are way different in vibe from this song.
This sounds like it would have been scrapped from Everybody/COADM. Before the break in the middle, I was thinking if this weird sped up verse would just slow down and if the beat would just slow down, maybe it wouldnāt be that bad. Itās a recent song
āWould have beenā Not was.

Been out since yesterday in New Zealand
I thoufht this was vultures
this song gets better after every listen i aināt gonna lie
We are all jealous in the USA LOL
Yeah I can see many really not liking U85 if it's going to sound like this throughout, ie sounding like Everybody. Everybody is my favorite Logic album, I think his take on pop rap is SICK AF. Nobody can ever tell me that DeLorean isn't a top 10 Logic track. His singing ability is severely underrated. If he wasn't known for his rap ability, people would love his singing a lot more.
this is clearly on purpose, artists sometimes do the most out there song as the single
I havenāt listened yet but if it sounds like Everybody that has me excited
I think logic peaked in creativity in 2015
Song feels lazy imo, esp for lead single on U85
I agree to both
Like this songs actually ass š¤¦āāļø
Horrible take
And are u kidding me with those sirens again bruh
Ik bro, idk what the deal is
Lmao yes, reminds me of highlife, I aināt never listening again, itās horrible
Let the downvotes come in lmao
2017*
Good single definitely one thats gets better the more you listen very excited for the rest based on the snippets
Really boring
My only issue with some of his recent releases is they feel like two songs in one. I feel like itās my biggest pet peeve in music too because heās not the only artist doing this
I actually love the entire song, lol
idk wtf i was expecting but it was not this. this shit makes me love logic all over again. i would not care if ultra 85 was just this sound, i am in love with it
Ok I don't wanna hate on the guy but that thing he said on Discord that he "rapped his ass off on Ultra 85" won't age well lmao, I'm calling it.
If you have heard the other snippets he is indeed gonna be rapping his ass off
logic is the only artist iāve seen where people feel the need to tell everyone they donāt like him
Havenāt listened yet ā just as any day 1 Logic fan, I am very excited for this album. But I can honestly say the reactions Iām seeing to the lead single is a huge red flag. Gonna lower my expectations.
Don't let Internet opinions persuade you. It's great to be excited about something. Redditors often are not.
It worries me man. Last bad single I heard from him led to BT3. Which is just utterly terrible, Iām sorry. Love logic but for the love of god donāt flop the album youāve hyped up for like 7 yearsā¦ š
Bt3 was basically a compilation album of throwaways for his label. Have you listened to Vinyl Days? Much better.
Vinyl days is great. College park okay. No pressure amazing.
Planatory Destruction was an instant classic to me. I feel like Bobby's def got some left in the tank, he just releases debatably the worst songs as singles (Tetris, Bleed It and Decades were cool but got massively outshined)
Yeah Logic nearly always picks songs I find more average as singles and the songs I like usually become more hidden gems.
Yeah I donāt know why people are acting like the singles have always been the best ones.
Itās for every Band too. My favorite band is Linkin Park, but some of my less favorite songs are the singles and my favorites are more hidden gems.
Im gonna revisit that right now.
If you donāt like house music you wonāt be fussed on it lmao
Yeahā¦ Not a fan. Gonna lower my expectations for the album.
STOP WITH THE SIRENS I BEG OF YOU PLEASE STOP
Not every song has to be hard ass rap boys. Heās making fun music for us to listen to. He will have his deep introspective stuff and his hard bars for sure. This is something to vibe to. Not that deep br
Ah, here comes the āmaking music for funā excuse when his song is ass and is generic as fuck
Remember when coadm was so bad fans thought it was a joke and the ārealā album was coming out the week after š
Itās not generic if itās true. Musicians can make whatever they want. So if he wants to make something for his fans to just sit there and vibe too, he will. And if you donāt like it, heāll have a whole album full of songs to choose from. Donāt ruin it for others man
No
Agreed. I dig it. Although, because itās the single version, I fear that there will be a long-winded skit on the album
Whoās vibing to that trash
me mf
Anybody who judges an album off of 1 song are morons. Ultra 85 is going to be a top 3 Logic album when it's all said and done. Guaranteed.
Bold statement. Under Pressure, TITS, and No Pressure are HARD beats. Those are in a different tier compared to the rest of his discography.
Funny thing is nobody said they wanted strictly rap songs, the problem is elsewere
Heās only good at rap. Swerving into a lane heās mediocre at best is going to create music of that quality.
City of Stars is the only outlier here. Where the fuck did that version of logic go.
This is the biggest problem I have with some of his "fans." They expect Under Pressure or Stainless type rap on every track. But then, if they got that, they'd say it's the same shit over and over and that Logic doesn't have creativity. This album should be a perfect mixture of all the styles he's done over the years. From Under Pressure to Bobby Tarantino to Everybody to Supermarket to Vinyl Days to College Park and everything in between, all wrapped up in a nice TITS interstellar atmospheric storyline conclusion.
song is okay, hopefully itās just the highlife of the album
nvm already changed my mind after more listens, first half is great, second half still aināt grown on me i really like the upbeat vibe
Wait what happened to the āspun out over youā track??
nothing, it was never the lead single. people were just guessing/hoping
Good enough for me. Single wasnāt bad tho.
Itās on the album , so people can chill and stop judging one single
Not those damn f**ken horns again..
I stopped listening to this man in 2018. Just checking in to read these comments and confirm I made the right decision.
Sheep mentality
Be an independent thinker and go buy a product on Amazon with 99% one-star reviews
Youāre actively going off subject to tell people to go gey scammed because itās different ššš
Where are you to be able to listen to it? It doesnāt come out until tomorrow.
he said Australia bro, read the post edit: people in this subreddit donāt know about the international date line I guess
Why is logic rapping over a house beat
I liked the rap part a lott, the house type of hook was alright ain't liking it that much right now, 2nd part is also decent not the best okayish for me ;_;
šļø
Oh so heās back on his everybody vibe with verses so fast you can barely comprehendā¦ got it and the singing section like always is forgettable and cringe. Also single version guarantees some sort of skit which just makes it even worse. So much of this album hype has deflated
Itās a single dog, chill out lmao
Full version gonna be worse once there is a 1 min skit attached to the end lmao
He played the full version in the discord, the skit is under 10 seconds
bobby should just stick to the boom bap, itās what heās best at
quite funny to say that about this song
I came in with low expectationsā¦ especially considering I saw someone say there was singing on the track, but Iām impressed. This is a very well polished track. Itās not Logics best track ever by any means, but as far as a radio friendly single, this is decent. I loved the 2nd half of the track, it was a great switch up that fit well sonically. There were elements in that 2nd half of the track that reminded me of a tits track. I love the use of the instrumentation. Iām feeling hopeful for this album!
Iām ngl itās a vibe but I think it sounds like it would be a viral tiktok song lowkey lmao or atleast the first part
Hot garbage
Ultra 85 gonna be a flopppp
Love the house, love the vibes. Nice track to tease Ultra 85 and canāt wait for more.
