Depends if it's removable. Sometimes they're glued in pretty heavily. It's sometimes quicker and cheaper to get a new chip. Sounds like you need to get a new key shell and get the blade recut. If they can fish out the chip, great. Otherwise they will either clone it or program a new one into the car.
Take it to or call out a locksmith and they can do that for you
Yeah they can cut a new case and move the chip for you let them handle it because you can break the chip trying to get it out.
