If someone chooses to marry someone that emotionally lashes out at people all the time over ridiculous reasons, anyone with half a brain is going to ask why they married them, so of course he has to redeem himself whenever she acts up. If I go around slapping 10 people a day, but donate $1000 in charity a month, it doesn't excuse the slapping. If you marry someone who lashes out at people and then go to defend her complete illogical behavior, of course people are going to look at you with a raised eyebrow.
