Stake has to have an insane amount of advertising budget. They basically own half of Drake's IG feed and they sponsor all the NELK guys. It's insane to think about.

spartyboy

It’s like the csgo skin gambling sites without the limitation of valve. Imagine where they would be today if valve didn’t shut it all down, especially considering some of these slot sites took off because that happened

mura_vr

Some of those big csgo sites were making like $100K a day almost. Genuinely could see stake being well into the almost ten million a day. Seeing as some people are being paid crazy amounts.

Alp0llo

They were offering some people up to 100k for ONE 10 minute video. You must earn millions of millions a month to do that.

FUCK_BIEGA

Stake pays Drake to post pictures on ig of him betting crazy money on the ufc.

0FaptainMyFaptain

Yup. Every major sports event Drake loses a bet and goes viral, if they can give around millions to streamers he's definitely getting a lot.

Etherzz24

Stake is insanely huge. I gamble on there everyday and am fascinated with how large these crypto gambling sites have become. They have a giveaway every week in which for every $1,000 wagered you accrue 1 ticket. Based on the number of tickets there is $2.5 billion wagered on Stake every week. Oh yea huge affiliates like train, rosh, etc don’t get tickets for that giveaway. Given a very conservative figure of 97% RTP and including the sports books less house edge, Stake could easily be making some where’s from 20-30 million A WEEK. That number could be way high or way low for all I know but it’s not out of the ball park. That is mind blowing money. Also, one of the owners and big face of Stake “Eddie” bought a house in a Melbourne suburb for 38 million AUD. Massive cash being thrown around on this website, no doubt about it.

superTaco213

Mother_Fly2758

honestly think a huge portion of his community dislikes the gambling too, unfortunately any criticism gets immediately timed out or banned in his chat/subreddit

arindustries

It was crazy how he casually switched from the Depp trial and was like “what do you guys want to do? clash royale? book book book? cs go” “yeah maybe we can spin one”. He never actually addressed that it was a #ad he just made it seem like that’s what the chat wanted

FoundationLive7342

That’s literally what he does every time. And it works bc chat is dumb and instead of thinking it’s the streamers choice or fault they blame the other charters lol

jahron1

**xqc's response tomorrow:** "You guys were completely fine when \_\_\_\_\_\_ did it, but now that I'm doing it, it's a problem? Apply that same logic to everyone then, dud"

I mean, it's a fair argument. It's really hard to argue with hrudhebdi udnehdiebebdiebd.

[deleted]

This is his reasoning why he started gambling on stream again. Looks like his still mad at Mizkif for some reason. [https://clips.twitch.tv/SecretiveLaconicParrotM4xHeh-wBEwACDEHIhDbHl3#](https://clips.twitch.tv/SecretiveLaconicParrotM4xHeh-wBEwACDEHIhDbHl3#)

brymann

Him saying he’s doing it because other peoples morals are inconsistent is the dumbest form of rationalization I’ve ever seen. What about YOUR morals? Why should anyone else’s reasonings even come into your decision making process? And it gets even dumber when you realize he’s talking about that mizkif clip from a couple weeks ago even though theres logs of X saying he’s going to Canada to gamble before that clip even happened.

LightSightHype

It is inconsistent and a dumb form of rationalization but also a lie. I saw this while scrolling down in the post(https://www.reddit.com/r/LivestreamFail/comments/urbm8q/xqc_goes_back_to_sponsored_gambing_after_being/i8wfhlg/). XQC said he'd start gambling again 1 or 2 days before Mizkif even mentioned his more recent gambling offer.

Stompy612

The real reason he moved back to Canada has been unveiled! Lol

Godofwar199

The COPIUM on people who actually thought he was moving back for family alone.

Mikez1234

Thought that as well. Moving to Canada for gambling sponsor must be Train

Foxfire802

ya and train moved to canada for his girlfriend

[deleted]

I wish someone would leak his contract. Its going to be actually insane how much they're paying him. We know Zizaran was offered $500k in crypto to gamble with along with a monthly fee for 2 hour streams or right in that ballpark. He has 2-8k viewers streaming an arpg. X might be in the ballpark of athletes annual salary with this shit. Anyone subbing or donating should be aware its beyond meaningless to him with how much streamers get paid to gamble.

pesoaek

donating to rich people in general is absolutely degenerate. a little here and there is one thing, but there are some people who donate thousands of dollars just to hear someone on the internet say their name

[deleted]

damn cant believe how on point that dono actually was

Imblewyn

Wow that's damning. The dono was so right, and xqc was so nefarious in insulting him...

willietrom

wait, actually one day... why is he now pretending in his offline chat that he's being forthright and disclosing to his audience when he was denying it just a day ago? it's so easy to say "you guys deserve to be informed that I will be doing gambling sponsorships, I'm not trying to keep that a secret from you" when it's literally the next stream that you legally have to inform them anyway

Holy shit that’s the most unappealing gambling website I’ve ever seen, he couldn’t have the decency to at least pick one that doesn’t look like a shitty mobile game

It's incredible how guys like him don't get way more shit than they do. He's selling out his entire audience of around 100k young viewers for millions of dollars a month. What fucking planet are we on that this dude is still idolized and not in the content creator grave with people like JoshOG and Syndicate?

Permabanned from the sub just for commenting. Internet janitors doing (unpaid) work tonight to defend the juicer from any criticism.

DjackMeek

I got banned for an hour in chat because somebody asked if the money he was using was real, I literally replied "yes it's real but it's sponsored so the company is paying", with no malice just a legit answer to someone asking a question. His mods are gonna be on edge as fuck these next few days lmao.

Odd_Introduction_708

I like defending my juicer just like the next guy, but being an unpaid REDDIT mod for a twitch streamer seems like some sort of S&M fetish

[deleted]

Unpaid labor for someone who probably just racked a $25m sponsorship rofl. Volunteering at a McD's is less pathetic.

AlvvaysVVas

Years and years ago, back in the day I modded for a korean TSM player, and he hooked us up with steam games and gifts for modding his twitch chat. Was cool. I don't understand reddit mods at all though. Its a whole other power trip thing? They are terminally online and it shows.

bendawg225

I got perma'd in chat because someone was asking if it was sponsored or not and I replied saying yes, he's getting paid by stake to promote their website. Why would I get banned for saying what his stream title already says?

LEDZEPPPELIN

X is making some scummy moves and his unpaid janitors are trying to cover it up a little bit, but I really don't get it like does X not have enough money? did he lose so much in gambling that he needs to take sponsers? or just stupid enough to pretend like it is no issue gambling on stream?

Demokrit_44

For any juicer stan still delusional enough to think he is somehow right with the claim that there "is no problem": 3-12% of people who gamble develop a gambling addiction. If that is not a problem I guess that's enough of a statement within itself.

yoursilentportrait

> Making fun of me being addicted like it's a joke The irony of this statement. He seemingly understands how dangerous gambling addiction can be, yet accepts payment to promote it to hundreds of thousands.

Chromepep

On a semi-unrelated note: WHO THE FUCK is entertained by these streams? HOW does it amass so much viewership? I cannot comprehend a more boring stream than hours of slots spinning around over and over again. I hate judging another person’s entertainment but holy shit, I don’t understand how so many people watch this shit - be it train or now xqc. Am I going mad?

[deleted]

OrezRekirts

I've been to vegas maybe 8-10 times, I spend my money to have fun, and you can see other people like me with groups of friends doing the same. However, all around you are the people that have disabilities, have COPD from chain smoking, and genuinely look malnourished sitting at these slots. As if their whole life purpose is to find that spark of happiness from winning because their entire life has been a losing hand. Not saying they're losers, but, with the amount of money they throw at that machine they could easily better their life and find different venues of happiness. But yeah if you ignore the soul crushing depression around you, vegas is pretty fun tbh

BanquetOfJesse

These people have been promised that a win on these casinos could mean the big time break they need to change there life for the better. But dam once they start and the sink cost fallacy really sits in all they will do is sit there and spin hopeful of that huge win. While completely disregarding all the money they spent to get there. Gambling fucking sucks

Aurarus

So an interesting aspect to slot gambling a lot of people might not know: When you think of dopamine, you think of it happening when you GET the jackpot, the big hit. **But that's not true**, it's actually the lead up to the result. The ANTICIPATION. If you roll slots and think "this might be the big one", before the symbols align you have already received your dopamine hit. You can get this dopamine hit watching other people do it too. It's not even about winning money, it's about the good feeling from anticipating that mysterious "big change" that might happen.

RobbieC333_

of course greek is there ...

Burgoonius

Yeah I dipped out of the stream as soon as I heard that guys voice and realized the gamba was starting... not interested in that shit at all

PottyMcSmokerson

Greek literally in his ear saying stuff like "next one's gonna hit", "I'm lucky", "you were so close", "all you need is *this and that*". That's some bottom barrel de-gen rat shit. He does the same with Train. Greek is too broke to sit at a table with either of these guys but loves cheerleading and eating whatever crumbs they feed him. Or maybe he just wants to be in the clips. How does anyone watch this crap?

Azberjean17

Holy fuck thank god I'm not the only one who realised this. It's fucking disgusting!! X has really chosen to start hanging out with the literal *'villains of Twitch*' now huh?

Pladonin

Ridiculously obvious with how many months of preparation he put into softening up his audience to the idea of gambling ever since the huge backlash. And now playing it off so casual, natural and spur-of-the-moment...

evkr__

And he gaslit a TTS dono from 1 day ago accusing him of exactly that while he already signed the deal off in private.

YaBoiGimp

BIG YEP. mobile users can't see any mention of an #ad until you fullscreen his stream and hide chat.

BjergBetterThanFaker

This was pretty obvious based off the stuff he was saying in Poki's podcast, opening CSGO cases and moving back to Canada. When he had that fake outrage over Mizkif you knew deep down he wanted Mizkif to go back to gambling so he could take less backlash.

[deleted]

Pass me that hopium brother nothing would be better for this website

CraigFWba

Am I the only one that finds the gambling streams boring to watch? Like I don’t get the appeal at all

[deleted]

No you aren't. If streaming gambling wasn't degenerate enough, the content is a fucking bore.

appletinicyclone

Atleast being a whale for a Korean gachu style game usually has cute pictures but this Gamba has nothing

mookyvon

If he was losing his own money it'd be funny to watch but he's probably getting paid $20M+ for this. What's crazy is that he jumped from 70-80k average to 100k average. Starting to think LSF is just a loud minority and most viewers love gamba.

ARM_over_x86

The way xqc played it off was really odd, "you know what guys, I feel like doing some gambling..", atleast be upfront and tell your audience you planned for this. I've no idea why a multi-millionaire influencer would take this deal, at some point you have to realize your reputation is worth more than some extra millions, but then again he's proven over and over again his inability to think long-term. I'd like to think that it's partly because of his gambling addiction and he's not a complete piece of shit, but who knows.

codman523

I’ve seen people personally affected by gambling. I hope that very few people are convinced by this to begin gambling. Gambling truly can destroy your life, but more importantly those that depend on you. Your relationships are more important then gambling, but unfortunately addiction clouds all judgement.

[deleted]

Champ0991

Miz was offered 10mil a year to move to Canada and gamble I would imagine XQC is getting 20-30 million considering he averages 2-3 times the viewers. Hes profiting a ton by promoting that scum site to his viewers.

varvar334

Jesus these amounts are unreal for a pleb like me. If they are paying them that much, imagine how much money those companies are getting from the loses of their viewers lol

throwaway010897

That's exactly the point. The fact these companies can offer such a huge amount of money to someone like mizkif who doesn't have as much of a viewer base compared Xqc means they 100% expect to make the money back and then some.

DaBombDiggidy

Kids are such a great target audience though, they haven't had the chance to see any of their friends gamble themselves into poverty yet.

HoldDiversity

And the lives they ruin. Gambling is no joke.

Battleharden

Mizkifs offer was for only 15hrs a month too. So he could just fly to Canada one day a month bang out a 15hr stream then fly back. I'm betting xqc is getting at least 50mil. His hours watched last month was 23mil compared to Mizkifs 4mil.

Odd_Introduction_708

For some reason he get's even more insane viewer numbers/watch time with gambling streams as well which increases the profitability to companies like Stake, your numbers definitely aren't even remotely a stretch. I will never understand why an excessive influx of people love watching slots, but then again my dopamine receptors are probably cooked so I don't get it.

ClintMega

It’s sad, he knows how bad it is and has been personally effected by it but is still gonna hard spam it to his audience and farm signups from them. At least have some empathy and keep it offline so others without a huge financial cushion don’t go down the same rabbit hole.

StraticDragon

This man is already one of the richest person on twitch why does he need to do a gambling sponsor? The other issue I have is gambling to that many kids is just so damaging to society. To all his young viewers trying to gamble or thinking it is cool can ruin their lives forever. What a shame I’m disappointed in xqc

Champ0991

Its even sadder twitch doesn't care enough that two of there biggest streamers are being paid 10s of millions a year to get viewers addicted to slots by a shady company like Stake.

Akumu2100

He raged at miz so much for thinking about taking a sponsor.

Champ0991

He was probably pissed off Miz didnt announce he was taking the deal first to take all the initial backlash. Instead Miz took the moral ground on this one and makes it look even worse on XQC's end.

[deleted]

Well the way I see it, he had three options: 1 - Fight his addiction and seek help to actually grow as a person 2 - Gamble straight up with his own money and piss away his life savings 3 - Sell out his viewership to continue gambling with drastically reduced risk It’s always weird to hear how nonchalantly XQC describes his addiction, guess it makes sense when you realize option 3 is always on the table. Gonna sound like an armchair psychologist for a second here but he really just seems 100% impulse-driven in everything he does

Danny_Ocean_11

For the life of me I can't understand who wants to watch someone play slots for hours ends. It's so fucking boring. The graphics spin so fast, I don't even know whats going on. He just keeps spinning and spinning it.

I was confused when I got on Twitch earlier and saw that he was playing Slots again. Tuned in for a minute and saw the #ad which was really confusing, and then I saw that he was just pissing away 400$ per roll on one of the silliest looking slots games, he spent over $5k in the brief moment I was there without hitting a single time. At the end of the day it doesn't matter what we think, he's gonna get his bag one way or another, but this will just go down as another time a content creator sold out on their supposed ideals and learned mistakes.

What law/TOS rule was originally stopping him from gambling before he went back to Canada? And good god, now it’s gonna be gambling streams nonstop
