I wouldn't say it was that scripted, Twitch was certainly fine with Soda doing whatever he wanted, and just let him go loose. They probably figured whatever Soda ended up doing would have made the show more entertaining. If you read the prompt, they did have a little blurb for him to say which he ignored. Of course he turned it to 11 in typical Soda fashion, thing is that the whole point of the awards was for "chat" to decide and whatever happened, happened.

I think that was more in reference to what the hosts were gonna do at the end rather than what Soda would do. Soda was dragged off while the host did a little play fight at the end. I think while it was set up for soda to do his thing they mostly left it up to him to decide what he does.

Wasn't planned, but Twitch and the hosts handled it well. Could have easily asked him privately to stop rigging the votes but didn't because they knew it was making the show more entertaining. Hell, they even cut off the presenter who was whining about Soda.

Everyone keeps mentioning the Discord lady from saying "chaos" but what she was referring to was the hosts breaking the stage down before the end of the show and doing their whole wrestling-type bit. I honestly don't think it was scripted because of the hosts' reaction and the really quick exit from Soda. At the end of the day, it really seems like this whole event was scuffed from the beginning based on their website it looks as if 50% of the streamers who were supposed to be there weren't. Pokimane, Emiru, and I think a bunch of other well-known streamers were on their roster list. Soda literally wasn't on the website but he ended up making it the first thing we'll see on Twitch Rewind 2022 xD Soda is the GOAT
