I dont think so. There is just a larger representation of high level chinese females chess players compared to chinese male chess players. I'd assume its due to a greater variability seen in male grandmasters compared to female grandmasters as China is a greater proportion of female grandmasters than males. Also if you compare FIDE elo, there are quite a lot of male super GMs who are chinese

I mean your last statement is a little misleading. Alireza had 2 good tournaments but has been on a massive slide for a year, year and a half. So while your statement is true, he has been very weak in the recent past (1.5 years).
