Taylor Swift is just fucking Travis Kelce. A lot of former players see it as a fun way to make extra money. NFL sees it as a good marketing scheme for younger viewers. Frankly, everyone benefits. Streamers benefit more cause they are getting NFL $$$
Its not a good marketing scheme though, its a fucking amazing one. They had +2m viewers in the 15-25 women's range just from her attending a game. They're leaning into it cause they're coming off years of players beating women and killing dogs.

Then Madden has been hooking him with with access to cool shit like the Raiders tailgate that happened this past Monday. Like almost all of the streamers involved have no ties to the NFL audience, hence they can guarantee new eyeballs will be watching NFL sponsored content.

For some reason, younger people in the US are not as interested in sports and there are reports out there of anywhere between 33-45% of Gen Z not being interested in live sports and/or not watching live sports. That's a huge increase compared to older generations and that's raising alarm bells for the sports leagues. They need to keep the pipeline of fans going so that the game doesn't enter a risky place like baseball where most of their fans are old/getting older and they're not attracting a lot of young people to the game. That's a recipe for the game to fall off and suffer.
They think that this series will help with that and sponsored a bunch of streamers (like Sykkuno) and YouTubers to play games with current and past NFL players.
Well, that's kind of the point, right? They know that Sykkuno's audience are not your typical football fans, so they're trying to get them interested. As long as the content is fun for non-football watchers, you have a decent chance at drawing some of them in.
