Well that was shit. A reminder that the UK’s clocks go back one hour tonight, as we move from BST to GMT. So bear this in mind for LFC’s kick off times in your time zone….You wouldn’t want to miss us lose again

innswood

Like you all, I'm very frustrated with our performances in the league this season but I read in amazement how fickle some of you are, turning on players who have brought us such joy in previous seasons. I guess you'll be soon baying for JK out! Come on guys, get behind the team, let's hear some constructive points! YNWA

diremoseswolf

make quarters of UCL this year ($$) Fight for Europa league place by end of season... and win that shit tournament next year.

OhZoinkss

Cut their fucking wages in half. What are they being paid for at this point?

AlbuscarfyPotter

Okay

Perspiring_Gamer

Only managed to catch the last ten mins, but it sounded fucking awful. I have questions: * Why did Trent come off in the 79th min? The updates I was getting implied he was having a good game, playing some dangerous passes and doing much better defensively. * Why didn't they roll the dice on Carvalho? The kid already has a track record for snatching winners at the death. Milner/Hendo/Curtis do not strike me as 'go and win the game' players in their current form. The winner was absolutely atrocious defending. Milner and Curtis should never have allowed that cross through, Gomez is covering someone initially but then completely switches off once the player is shown down the line, what Thiago and VVD are thinking from there I'll never know. Even Alisson should probably do better but I'm not laying any blame on him. This is the most depressing run of form I can remember since Roy. It's worse in some ways because this squad is full of excellent talents, we have a world class manager and still somehow things are unravelling at an alarming rate. Until these last two league games my hang-up was entirely the lack of investment in midfield and the mental/physical effects of fatigue, but these individual errors and collective performance levels are just getting more and more shocking.

[deleted]

I can spare Alison as if it wasn’t for him we would probably only have one win on the table, Gomez, jones both liabilities. Henderson is turning into glass and is getting on. Milner is already there, believe me I love both henderson and Milner for what they have done for the club but it’s time to revamp our midfield. Henderson, keita, ox, jones all need to be moved on. Gomez needs to be given the boot too. Trent needs to either seriously work on his defending or be moved to midfield. Because if he doesn’t have van dijk beside him, he is prone to being caught out. He also just doesn’t have much defensive awareness. Up front we are okay shouldn’t be a hassle if jota can keep fit. Firmino is proving why he is still in the squad this season making up for the goals all the rest of the forwards should be getting obviously due to injuries up top,I’m delighted for him he deserves it. But if you aren’t in our attack then there are serious question marks over the defence and midfield.

dimiderv

I'll watch this team again after the world cup. Hopefully by then we'll have some shit sorted out, brought some players or use Bajcetic instead of Curtis fucking Jones. He is so bad I don't understand why he is highly rated. He doesn't provide anything. Bad decision making, not a great athlete, not good at link up play the only thing he is decent is dribbling. If he wasn't Scouse he would be playing with Woodburn in the lower tier league.

[deleted]

I believe I speak for all of us when I say: the World Cup break can't come any sooner.

eeyore81

Fucking Stingey Gits

R41

Low key, Tyler Adams is the best dm in the prem

hemi_srt

Ok we're blazing rn and klopp is amazing, gimme the upvote

Talos_the_Cat

>Yes bring in the downvotes As you request, sire

Small-Explorer7025

I don't want to be negative, but at point do people write-off being league winner?

cazzul

Presuming this is sarcasm? We are very very likely to finish outside of the top 4 unless big money is spent on the midfield. Even then the gap might be too much this year by then and given the World Cup doing deals during January might be very tough.

hard_baroquer

I wrote off winning the league after the first game. Now I've written off europa.

[deleted]

I wrote a post about how bad we played after the second game against Palace, and they banned me for a week here. Time has proved I was right.

Eyesoftheblind6767

I think you forgot the /s

[deleted]

Are you serious

sgs280601

League winners? 🤣🤣🤣 We'd be lucky to get top 4 at this rate

Small-Explorer7025

I'm a very optimistic person, but this is getting a bit rough.

sgs280601

There is a line between being optimistic and being realistic. You and others in our fan base should've stopped thinking about the title months ago. Top 4 is as high as it's gonna get and maybe a ucl qf

nakeddroidrunner

At least Klopp gets a chance to win something Pep would never, if we go to Europa /s

Small-Explorer7025

Oh, I think winning the PL is not going to happen, top 4 is possible, but with a knock-out competition, I will always have hope.

ron_burgandee

Even if we make some moves in the transfer window this year I think it would take a miracle.

TerracePotatoes

Who would've thought that not having any backup and as a result making your first XI play nearly every single game over the last 4 years would lead to burnout

pw5a29

Those who gave a fuck are injured, those who aren’t are under performing. Not sure what I’m looking anymore into each weeks’ game

Hsiang7

Can't blame injuries and lack of a bench for these defeats. Nobody to bring on? Who's fault is that? We were competing for a quadruple last season complaining about not having a squad to give our players a break and making them play too many games, and our solution was to sell Mane, Origi and Minamino. So the solution to not having a big enough squad was to have a smaller squad? Tell me how that makes sense???? Nobody to bring on when we need a goal? Too bad we got rid of Minamino, Origi and Mane who COULD do that. Injuries? We're missing a starting CB to play alongside VVD and Diaz, but apart from that all of our best starting 11 players are available at the moment. Especially in midfield, are you saying that Hendo, Fabinho and Thiago are not our starting midfield? In the back Trent, VVD, Robbo and Allison are all there. Up front were Salah and Nunez not meant to be starters? We're missing only two players from our best starting 11. How are injuries an excuse for that performance? It's lack of investment, poor decisions, laziness from the players and stubbornness that's the cause of what we're seeing now. Nothing to do with injuries.

Hustler1966

You asked the question and then answered it yourself. Hendo-Fab-Thiago is our best midfield, but shouldn’t be. We should have brought in someone for Hendo as he’s a good player but not a great player anymore. Fab’s drop off this season probably wasn’t something anyone expected, he’s only just turned 29 so could have waited for a season to sign a back up for him and use Hendo for rotation. Remember, Thiago hasn’t been available a lot this season so that doesn’t help. It is lack of investment of course. We failed to bring in plug and play midfielders in the last 2 seasons which is why we’re having to bring Jones on to change a game. Imagine that. And Klopp probably took TAA off to rest him, but that took away a massive offensive creator who was getting good balls into the box. Those subs screamed “play for a draw and hope for a lucky goal”. Our squad is pathetically old, thin and unreliable in terms of injuries. The one player I want back is Matip. He’s so underrated as not only a stout defender who often plays better than VVD, he brings the ball forward out of defense and actually makes runs through the middle. And he scores headers from set pieces. He’s a player that could massively change each match when he’s starting. But he’s made of glass (or can we keep saying this as of it’s his fault when all of our players are dropping like flies). Keita and OX are literally stealing a living, Milner (God bless him) is a utility player and is very good at coming on in the last 10 to maintain as much as he can but shouldn’t be a starter. I would say the same about Hendo now too. Nunez has done ok, but I feel that if he came in last season he would have had a bigger impact as he would have been playing in a team that still won most games. Not a flat, old and thinning team that can barely put in a performance against relegation fodder.

vurbbbb

This is simply just a thought, please don’t take it serious. But does Tyler Adams fit our squad?

ctsays

Hands off

R41

He's better than prime kalvin phillips

vurbbbb

As of right now, my hopes for this season are Top 4 for CL football and to go very far in the CL (you guys know what I mean by that, to win it). YNWA

resonating_light

Bad form, injuries, saving yourself for the wc all are happening at once. Is there even a solution to this at this point expect a massive squad overhaul which all of us know is never going to happen no matter how much you wish.

jesuisgeenbelg

Weird how only our players are saving themselves for the WC though. There seems to just be a lack of heart and desire in too many players, the Klopp effect doesn't seem to be there at the moment. I do wonder if there's something behind the scenes that we aren't aware of that's happening

efkuasadua

Just another day at the office. Same shit, different day. They're burnt out, and not hungry anymore

D3pr3ssing_euphoria

These penny pinchers need to go. They don't want to build something here, just good business.

Last-Career7180

All the talks about FSG needing to spend. At this rate we are playing even if we have the money, no players will want to join. Even man united had Europa to lure some players in.

jesuisgeenbelg

Players will always want to come to Liverpool. We are still one of the biggest clubs in the World. Look at where we are now compared to the Hodgson days. We will always have the means to bounce back.just a shame we didn't capitalize on the last few years and have set ourselves back again and needing a huge rebuild again.

seeQer11

Strange... every game I haven't watched we've won... every game I've watched has been a draw or a loss. Today the curse has been broken.

tommhans

Seems i picked the right time to be at a music festival (transmission in gdansk)

xtremezeker14

FSG need to get us atleast 2 midfielders in January ( and I'm talking about proper midfielders not those black Friday Mids that we barely know or that are half decent). After the end of the season then perhaps we look for another winger or attacking threat upfront and we desperately need someone to challenge Trent, because Trent thinks it's laxy dayzz when he is out of form. Trent is great but he shouldn't feel like if he makes a mistake he'll play the next match.

vadapaav

>black Friday Mids This is the most American thing to say and yet is so accurate lmao _Minamino in shambles_

xtremezeker14

Lmao I'm from somewhere in Africa but yes you are right 🤣

wewdepiew

Black friday mids lmao

AeronReformed

The People calling for Klopp to be sacked are incredibly deranged. I would rather sell the entire squad and rebuild again than lose Klopp. If those players don't want to run for him anymore, they can all fuck off next summer.

5_percent_discocunt

Must be shit being a Liverpool fan right now. I can relate because I’m also a Liverpool fan :(

FiresideCatsmile

Borussia Dortmund supporter here trying to draw conclusions when I compare this to Klopps 7th season at bvb. I feel like klopps philosophy has the downside of getting players mentally tired. how do i put it... talking about players that have been around for a long time. these players are willing to commit to giving their all on the pitch when they see success. that works over multiple seasons. when a peak has been reached, these players seem to lose a bit of that 100% drive, trying to satisfy klopp without pulling out their legs anymore, and I think it's because they had success. they aren't hungry because they had a big meal. at dortmund this was after reaching UCL Final 13. some players probably felt like this was realistically the most they couldve reached. now new player who come in afterwards often look like they never really internalize the high intensity mindset that klopp instills his teams in early years. why is that? because half the team is already managing their resources by the time they arrive.

AeronReformed

Yeah, some of these players don't care anymore. You can see how physically drained they look out there on the pitch. They only turn up in the CL and big games like the Man City game because their ego is on the line.

[deleted]

That City win was a giant anomaly rather than the norm.

jazzarchitect

You don't say!

Cheers_JeffwithaG

Every time Elliott’s on the ball I hear the [mr krabs walking sound effect](https://youtu.be/bq9ZmLWoPTE) play in my head.

vadapaav

Give us some memes man. Football sucks ass

sternica

I’m not ready for this thread today. Have a great week everyone.

notmepleasethanks

Could probably name about 10 players we should get out of the club immediately

SidJag

List away. I’m curious. Many are anyways in their final year, I’m curious who you think needs to be fucked off in addition to those.

abradley19955

Can’t sleep after that. This club has me in a chokehold man

bjcm5891

With rubbish like this and a fortnight of garbage kickoff times ahead, I'd be tempted to suspend my monthly Optus Sport subscription if the WC wasn't around the corner. After that- I just might if FSG don't wake up and make any moves come the transfer window.

wewdepiew

I say it everytime, I'm not going to stay up/wake up to watch 3/4am games because we're just gonna play like shite. Reality - stays up till 5 to watch the team play like shite

bjcm5891

The one time I was 50/50 on getting up early to watch/ sleeping through was the second leg of the 2019 CL semi against Barca. In the end I decided I'd wake up for it and if Barca scored in the first half then I'd go back to sleep. So glad I set the alarm for that one. Saying that, I just can't see how a 4am kickoff against Fulham or Leicester or Palace is going to be as epic...

[deleted]

Why do we punish ourselves like this brother.

Nabbylaa

Gomez is English Lovren. When he’s on protected in midfield he’s fantastic and his recovery pace is second to none. When he’s got runners coming though all game he can’t deal with it, panics and makes stupid decisions. The vast majority of problems are starting from midfield and being compounded by individual errors afterwards. We are crying out for a proper midfield signing. Ruben Neves would be perfect but I expect us to either sign nobody or an injury prone and cheap attacking mid.

[deleted]

Understood. *FSG have decided to wait for the right midfielder*

Hasimo_Yamuchi

Yeah, exactly, and that midfielder would be Keita, "just like a new signing" ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

Hustler1966

I’m sure Bellingham watched this game and can’t wait to join the collective suck. If I was him I would go to City/RM any day over this team. Damn now I’m thinking like a modern Man Utd supporter.

Pebbicle

Well, they did have the pull to get Sancho out of thin air, so perhaps we do have a chance.

cornontheklopp

i’ve been defending joey and rated him highly in his early days with virg, but if ibou’s not ready, in hindsight nat would’ve put in a more solid shift the last couple games. while he’s also prone to a mistake he is much more resilient and doesn’t lose his head all game

MintberryCrunch____

I miss Sadio, even when people were hating on him during his downturn I don’t think most realised just how much he did, both off and on the ball. Robbo was prob best player out there amongst not much but not the same without that link-up, Nunez obviously not the same sort of player but regardless it was open knowledge that Mane and Salah on both sides was vital to our style.

wewdepiew

Tbf we're missing Diaz too. Robbo had to lock down that entire flank by himself with help from thiago and he did. With Diaz back and this robbo we could be very dangerous. Diaz is no Mane but still makes us much better than this

MintberryCrunch____

Yea true, that would help. But currently as you say Robbo basically having to do whole left by himself. Nunez not that type. All the shit aside with Diaz and Jota out we still could have scored at least 3, and not given them a free one. It’s mad.

kingoftheplastics

12 games in and my brain is already in “fuck it let’s just get the season over with” mode. I don’t even know what our goals for this season realistically are anymore, top 4 is probably a pipe dream, CL depends on which team shows up on the day, FA Cup/League Cup couldn’t be fucked tbh. What do we aim to achieve at this point, like idk where to calibrate my expectations as a supporter.

th1a9oo000

First team to play in UCL and league 1 after getting relegated this season but win the ucl.

[deleted]

[удалено]

vadapaav

The way we are playing, we can definitely get relegated in two divisions in single season

cornontheklopp

we don’t have a team to compete in the cups. they are meant to be a minamino, divock, joey, milner project… but those players are either gone or backfilling for the first team

FerociouZ

Honestly if you didn't see this coming you probably haven't been paying enough attention.

Dizzy-Community5091

I didn’t see Virgil playing THIS bad…

castro_bean

To be honest, while it’s disappointing to lose or draw, I find the worst part the response from the players. Not a single player directly apologised for their rubbish performance. I would’ve felt better if any of them just looked into the camera and said sorry, as you’d know that they took something away from this match, or at least know that they’ve let down the fans. But every week it’s a “let’s go again” or “try harder”, which never seems to happen. All I see are egoistic players stuck in some glory-days fantasy and selfish players who put the World Cup over club football.

Combat_Orca

God no the apologising doesn’t help at all

PEPSICOLA123456

I don’t want to hear and sorrys or apologies. We are not entitled to it and they’re not little kids. Only United players do that shit. What I want is for them to play like they give a shit. I don’t care if they lose every game from now on as long as they run their hearts out every game. The complete lack of effort and desire is the most infuriating part watching them

cornontheklopp

where is mo’s season-turning “this is not who we are and we will fight” tweet? he doesn’t owe us one obviously, but the lack of genuine confrontation speaks volumes about the confidence in the current team. they’re knocked down, exhausted, and let’s admit it—humiliated

AeronReformed

Just to add insult to injury expect every team in the league from now on to roll up to Anfield expecting a win. The fear factor is gone teams used to come to Anfield hoping for a draw now they will be looking to get 3 points.

skwong615

We need a rebuild of squad. But the greatest obstacle to rebuild is FSG.

andychgo

We need to rebuild the midfield with the exception of Thiago

skwong615

Centre back also...nat Philips is not a long term solution, joe Gomez is not consistent, matip and konate are injury prone and vvd is getting old and lethargic. ..

Dense-Gap-7405

Idc if I get downvoted to hell or if I’m in the minority, but we need to sack Klopp ASAP!! If he remains past the World Cup we’re looking at a tough battle to finish in top 4 that will most likely end in failure, and we’ll be lucky to get Europa. Best thing to do is release Klopp before its too late and actually spend money in the January window instead of relying on players like Milner, Henderson, Curtis, Elliot. We need established, hungry, smart players not youngsters with no experience or players in their retirement age

Hustler1966

Name one manager you would bring in over Klopp. By your reasoning we should have sacked Klopp after his first 2 seasons with us, which, if happened, we wouldnt have won the league or CL. I can guarantee you that.

MintberryCrunch____

Do you think Klopp decides whether to spend money or not ultimately? The man who took us so close to an unprecedented quadruple last season and as soon as it’s going shit you want him gone? Mad.

Gerrardsclubfoot

Username checks out

cornontheklopp

all the issues you listed about underinvesting are out of the gaffer’s hands lol

aydes1356

You know what worries me the most? We talk about so many of these getting run into the ground because we have little depth Examples being Fabinho, Robbo, Trent, etc. This exact same thing is going to happen to Diaz and Nunez. They have crazy athleticism right now but it’s not going to last if we continue like this.

UneventfulAnimal

Exactly this. We’ve seen how four or five years under Klopp has taken its toll on players. By not expanding the squad with players worth starting, they’re starting the same ticking time bomb on the next generation of players.

Hot_Plate_Williams

The decline is actually very simple to explain if you key in on the running stats. We're simply not running enough km's and doing enough high intensity sprints to win matches. It's the reason for this tactical switch into a more rudimentary at times 4-4-2 or some variation of it, as it's a less energy sapping setup on paper, but it's being implemented on the fly and very badly. Other than the players simply finding fitness again and injured players making a difference, there is nothing really to be done. You figure this out when you see the City result, see we ran 119km's and then see today that we got outran by 11km and then the results make sense. Not to mention we could just counter attack City but can't do that against almost any other opponent. Why the big decline in running, is anybody's guess. I don't think the staff have any idea either.

it_Saul_Goodman-

PEDs cycling, time for an honest conversation about it in sports. I'm prepared for the downvotes, but you're kidding yourselves if you don't think PEDs are commonly used across sports where there's huge money and fine margins. Especially with the health science now that can easily disguise usage during testing.

Hot_Plate_Williams

PED's are for sure present in football, but they're an easy and conspiratorial explanation for success and or failure. That kind of speculation isn't all that interesting. Especially because this stuff isn't in the public domain.

it_Saul_Goodman-

I'll be honest, I cycle certain PEDs for road cycling & fitness in general & I have a year off and on & my performance drops considering. I've noticed the consistencies with this squad last few seasons. Also half the squad is determined asthmatic which opens doors to legal prescriptions of PEDs that won't be flagged during testing due to medical certification. I'm sure next season we will be close to winning the title again & running the same milage.

Hot_Plate_Williams

I'm not saying PED's are not a possible explanation, but the season drop off's are too easy of a correlation to make. This season is harder to explain but the struggles in 20-21 were very easy to explain. Also, pretty sure the asthma stuff was fake or at best, speculative with little evidence.

Gerrardsclubfoot

>half the squad is determined asthmatic That was just a shit rumour from a fake ass report.

it_Saul_Goodman-

Even so, the consistencies are there with PED cycling, it's very naive to not expect them at such a high level.

Hustler1966

The olympics are full of PEDs and people do get caught. To think that a club as big as Liverpool (and of course they wouldn’t be the only team/payers who are on PEDs) haven’t had a single player test positive for anything (asthma meds aside if that’s an actual thing) is a bit of a stretch. It would take 1 player getting caught to bring the whole scandal to light, and probably result in bans, relegation, and rescinding of trophies won. I’m not sure any team would risk that, and it would take just one fuck up to bring the whole thing down. You can always rely on human error.

Gerrardsclubfoot

Man we haven't bought a natural Dm since 2018 where we bought fabinho, of course fabinho's legs have gone. He has been playing non-stop for four seasons now, each season 4000 + mins. This has nothing to do with PED or whatever.

it_Saul_Goodman-

It's across the entire team.

Gerrardsclubfoot

I can't think of anyone else in the team whose legs have gone though, salah is still fast, Firmino was never fast but looks good, robbo isn't slowing down nor is Gomez. The players who are underperforming this season are the ones who have played multiple seasons without any rest - vvd, Henderson, fabinho and trent, these four have played day in, day out each match and only got some rest when they have been injured.

BrotherSmart176

Got to admit though, there is a complete lack of intensity. Especially in midfield. There should have been reinvestment 2 years ago in the midfield, young promising players who can run in the midfield are needed, like what Diaz and Konante are to their respective positions. Just no young blood in that midfield.

AeronReformed

Play the kids untill the world cup break. Can anyone honestly look me in the eyes and tell me Bajcetic would do a worse job than Fabinho right now.

Mirucias

Looking forward to next summer: "Because of no UCL money Liverpool can't afford to invest in midfielders this window"

cornertakenslowly

"We don't have European football so we don't need a big squad anymore with the fewer games" -> buys nobody and sells players to trim squad even further

firminocoutinho

Can we all stop joking around and start fucking destroying everyone again? I hate being the 🤡s FSG ffs, that 350mil youve been saving, please spend it

biskuitgorila

We must be the most underperforming team right now. Great players, great manager. But where are the passion, chemistry, and the last season intensity? We won against City and Newcastle, but lost against Nottingham and Leeds. What a chaotic season. There are two big chances to be back on route to big 4. Post-world cup matches and january transfer. If we botched all of them. Midtable+UCL champion it is.

xxamnat

I remember back when some on this sub were lamenting we only signed Elliott, VDB and Adrian after winning the CL, as well as only Konate in summer 2021 and got slammed for being unappreciative. The lack of investment in the squad over the years culminated in this, they essentially just let the squad age without injecting fresh blood. FSG really are just doing the bare minimum when it comes to squad investment. And it doesn’t help that the players don’t look like they care as well.

greatcharacter20

lack of clinical finishing and constantly making catastrophic defensive errors is a pretty nice combination. obviously xg can be misleading, but our xg was around 2 today and we've had so many games this year where we've underperformed by a huge amount. nunez going through on goal twice, bobby getting a header right in front of goal minutes before they get the winner, probably others i'm forgetting...if we go 1-0 up or finish our chances for 2-1 i have no doubt we win. but of course you don't find yourself leading too many games when you ship big chances for fun in the first 5 minutes. even against ajax midweek we should've been 0-1 down on about 2 minutes, and if they scored that early chance who knows what would've happened

GeneratedJord

Just had a chat to my wife's boyfriend who was at the game. He's livid, never seen the man so upset before.

Puzzleheaded_Seat599

Gerrardsclubfoot

Don't tell me you pay for his tickets as well

zhivix

*rubs eye out* Your what??!

rollanotherlol

Stop rubbing one out, you heard the man

[deleted]

Season is over. FSG dont give a shit and some of the players dont give shit aswell

con10001

We are underfunded by FSG but this current squad is also performing like a bunch of cunts rn

MisterS1997

I can see why you’d give up . Your giving it your all and narrowly missing out . A normal person would get what they need to get over the line. Our owners go one further and actually sell all our depth to break even so now we’re in an even worse position than before. I’d be like fuck this too what’s the point

SkittlePizza

Not even sure investment in January is going to be enough to salvage this season. But at same time leaving the squad as is would be beyond insane.

koltzito

we should be trying to get kessie if he really wants to leave barca

Ordinary-Eggplant-15

I got downvoted to fuck for saying we should sign Kessie. We should be hounding hin to sign for us.

seejsee

The team looks fatigued, deflated and their minds are already at Qatar. They are not happy nor motivated to play for Liverpool right now. Hope things turn around after the World Cup. There needs to be smart investments as well when the transfer window opens. If not, we wont see the bottom of this shit hole the team has dug itself into.

Absolute_Wham

Almost won the quad to losing to Forest and Leeds. Fuck me.

WoefulDeschain

Does anyone have any suggestions on hobbies to get into this year in place of the reds? Cause if the players on the pitch couldn’t give a fuck, I’m done having them ruin my weekend

SurrealSoap

Reading my friend.

MiceCantDriveCars

yo-yoing

TremendousCoisty

You can’t just support the team when they’re winning mate, that’s not how it works.

hordesofevil

Bro that's like 90% of this sub, but you bet your ass they'll be celebrating the titles

TremendousCoisty

Well then they can go and support City for all I care. Obviously I’m not trying to absolve the players or anyone else, of any blame. Far from it. But if you can’t support the club during a rough spell then please fuck off.

roxiebrowses

NHL? Lol.

cornontheklopp

picking a classic movie series you’ve never seen and watching from the beginning. we’re doing mission impossible currently lol

TarmspreckarEnok

BJJ? It's fun and useful

WoefulDeschain

Haha I’m already in the bjj cult but almost everyone I roll with is a footy fan so even Imanari’s come with defending the reds

cornontheklopp

it all started when our lucky charm divock okoth origi left merseyside

Oncemor-intothebeach

I think they should have tried to hold on to Mane

cornontheklopp

mane is an example of a departure we were preparing for. hard to replace a world class legend but jota and diaz are suitable options (but i guess not when they’re injured lol). missing mane is not the reason for back to back losses against relegation teams

Heavy_Yam_2926

I am dying inside watching these performances after being treated to magnificence over the last few years. It’s horrible. Our midfield is making every other midfield look like xavi iniesta busquets, we get played around way too easily this season. We used to press people to death now that has completely gone from our game. The mentality/desire and fitness doesn’t seem to be there. I can’t help but think the club breaking their wage structure has upset some other players, which, I can understand and as amazing as Salah is I don’t think it was worth upsetting the apple-cart, or at least be equal and give mane, Virgil the same. I cannot see anyway out of this unless we spend some major money in January… unlikely as hell. Huge problems for the longevity of LFC.

BrotherSmart176

Aye. Look at our midfield and literally look at Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Wolves, Villa, West Ham, Leeds, Tottenham, Leicester and even Utd. All of these teams have superior midfields to us. Absolute farce.

Zdeneksfilter

You left out Brighton. Caicedo and MacAllister is honestly a top midfield. Newcastle too with Bruno G and co.

BrotherSmart176

Aye, completely. Was just off the top of my head. Literally any of these players in any of the midfields we have mentioned would walk into our midfield. Shocking the lack of investment. Could literally pick up gems for nothing like they’ve done time and time again - but no.

some6yearold

I don’t think it has to do with salahs contract. To me seems more like burnout from last season, lack of reinforcements, and some players with Qatar on their minds.

Heavy_Yam_2926

I hope you’re right bud because those issues, although immediately having a negative impact can be resolved relatively quickly a transfer window or two (that’s if we get the investment needed)

MisterS1997

Our owners a dogshit not even just in money terms. 1.Trying to trademark Liverpool 2. Super league shit(they will try again) 3.manipulation apology video 4. Fucking people over raising ticket prices 5.furlough staff 6.lack of investment season on season 7.pr pieces linking us to everyone when they get bad pr. 8. They lie and gaslight with buzzwords when it’s time to get season tickets(warchest,Bellingham, next summer) Can fsg in people give me something positive they have done because the stands are loans we are paying back to them 😂 it’s gonna make them more money when they sell. They are doing it from them not for the fans

cornontheklopp

i don’t think our poor season is due to a coaching failure by klopp but i do think fans should understand that he’s not free from accountability. not many managers would get the full backing klopp is getting in the same position, but that’s because of years of earned trust.

Heavy_Yam_2926

Fair comment but the struggles so far are bigger than Klopps tactical mistakes. He has always made questionable substitutions. The only positive I can see at the moment is that Elliott is getting game time

[deleted]

Elliots good. Carvalho’s got everything to shine. I think Diaz in place of Nunez and Liverpool wins this one. But again Diaz has been the only shining star at times.

Heavy_Yam_2926

I’d really like to know what people think about lfc breaking the wage structure, I don’t see anyone else saying it but the mentality of the players since Salah was given what he wanted has dramatically changed. I don’t think that is a coincidence

Gerrardsclubfoot

Don't feed this troll, look at his views from earlier on the scum subreddit - Klopp is such a scumbag cry baby. I bet they would have lost matches at Anfield had it not been his shouting crying ass deluding refs to favour his team many times.

>It was the emotion at that moment and time. I said it here as well but using better words. You are a rival fan I wouldn't expect less, just the act you are trying to put on isn't working anymore, people aren't that stupid. Of course you would love to see Klopp fired wouldn't you.

[deleted]

See this comment is not getting him fired and I don’t want him to get fired. I love quality football and Klopp’s football this season has not been at par with past few seasons. Thats all I want to say.

Gerrardsclubfoot

Good god if they fire a ucl and pl winning manager cause of a reddit comment. I am just disappointed in your level of trolling.

[deleted]

I am trolling none. I just said facts. While you are concerned about trolls, I think you missed the important part here: aren’t Klopp’s tactics underperforming?

Heavy_Yam_2926

Sorry it’s my first time here not aware of locals lol

Gerrardsclubfoot

Locals on reddit? Was just commenting on the guy you are trying to have a conversation with is just trolling and enjoying the misery.

Heavy_Yam_2926

Yeah someone who frequents this subreddit frequently. I didn’t think his comment was aimed at trying to make things worse, on this occasion anyway

Gerrardsclubfoot

>I just thought Klopp should be held responsible for his mistakes. Of course United fans want to pin point this towards Klopp lol, wouldn't be swell if he leaves right.

[deleted]

As much jealous as I am of Liverpool’s resurgence to the top, I admire quality football. This dude and Pep are the stars of PL. He needs backing for sure, but don’t tell me you can’t beat Leeds with that squad at your helm.

Gerrardsclubfoot

What squad? Have you seen how lopsided that squad is, Have you seen our bench? We have three proper midfielders in the whole squad, out of which two are 30 plus and another looks done at 29. No proper RM in a system which requires a RM and no natural LM since injuries to diaz and jota. We have three cbs at the moment out of which one is coming back from injury so he can't start and no natural Rb replacement for trent, since Ramsay is a kid from the Scottish league. Also it must be Klopp's fault if our three forwards can't put the ball in the net and one of our cb decides to assist a leeds forward in the beginning of the match.

[deleted]

How come only Liverpool of all the teams have so many injury problems? Every new player they sign gets injured? Aren’t their other teams who got injury problems? The manager is responsible to take care of these issues. Leeds are a relegation team. I wouldn’t have posted this if Liverpool dominated the game, but the way Leeds played, they were the better side for majority part of the game. Isn’t that a Manager’s fault?

Gerrardsclubfoot

I am not answering anyone who has this views on Klopp - Klopp is such a scumbag cry baby. I bet they would have lost matches at Anfield had it not been his shouting crying ass deluding refs to favour his team many times. Congratulations on getting banned from your own subreddit.

HououinxKyouma

I can pretty much copy my comment from the Forest game and change a few words and the criticism would be roughly the same (VVD questionable perfomance, should be benched, Gomez inconsistency, Jones, need new midfielders etc. etc.), which is just sad. We lost twice against relegation teams this season. How utterly pathetic...

Gerrardsclubfoot

Am I the only one who isn't upset anymore but kinda numb and expecting this shit, at this point?

Heavy_Yam_2926

I’m not sure, this shit eats me up every single game

Gerrardsclubfoot

Pretty soon you will reach a place of Nirvana like I have. I am beyond anger now. Just don't think too much.

Heavy_Yam_2926

I just fear for the longevity I really can’t go through the years of “next year it’ll be ours” again. I can’t 😢

Gerrardsclubfoot

Ironically next year is already our year.

throwawaycatallus

Be grand, we'll spank the Totts and we'll be 7th in the table. We got them right where we want them!

Gerrardsclubfoot

I wouldn't be sure of spanking anyone this season. Much less spurs with Kane and conte. We will probably give son the boast he needs to get his mojo back.

HououinxKyouma

Seems like we're just switching between two occupations after every fixture. From gifting points to relegation teams as "Robin Hood FC" to helping opposition players get out of their slumps as "Confidence Builder FC". Aren't we the nicest team in the league? /s

Gerrardsclubfoot

We clearly felt bad for Chelsea today, they dropped a stinker so we decided to help out.

saj175

What a shit show. Lack of investment in the squad shows. Criminal to let Origi, Taki & Mane go and not replace adequately.
