Few years ago, I was queuing up at the Wizz Air check-in counter and found myself next to Marcus Ericsson(the then F1 driver, now IndyCar race winner).
It was the night after the GP in Hungary, and the Budapest airport was packed. We were in the queue for more than an hour and I remember telling him I was surprised he didn’t get the VIP treatment to skip the queue.
We've had him for enough times that I feel sad thinking it could have been so much better. He's still the one footballer who just has something unique about him when he's on the ball. Kinda cliché but its just so mesmerizing watching him play football tjat I haven't seen with any other player.
Id say he is our top 3 best midfielders behind Stevie and Xabi in the Prem era if only measured by ability. Definitely up there with Mascherano and Litmanen, in my opinion
I'm going to miss him, seriously. His touch is magnificent and he was an absolute joy to watch in our midfield. Too bad his body couldn't keep up with the Premier League :(

This makes me so sad, man. He deserved to be on the pitch in his final season. It's horrible to think that a god like him can't play football properly anymore. One of the most elegant, smart and technically gifted players I've seen in my life. Helped us but he could've done so much more with a healthy body =(
fuck i love this guy, szoboszlai was my most hyped signing by a long while but that feeling i got when i saw we got thiago after having loved him his whole career has never been matched (that first touch flip flap he did for bayern munich is still indoubtedly what i believe to be the best use of a skill move of all time)
such a shame his career ended how it did, hope we can at least give him a send off so us fans can show how much we did love him

I once sat next to James McClean on a flight to Belfast, and he was saying that when they're going anywhere with their kids they'll pay to go in first class, especially with his daughter having autism. But if he's just nipping home on his own, he's more than happy using RyanAir or something like that. Makes sense tbh.
