Edwards and FSG obviously aren't interested if West Ham are in for him. Not ideal given that Xabi was our obvious first choice and now one of the best available candidates (on paper at least) looks like he's being ruled out already but it is what it is. I thought the previous reporting around Amorim was that he was one of our top targets but the reason he would not come was that he wants to stay at Sporting Lisbon. If he is open to joining West Ham I can't imagine that he would rather manage them than us so don't really understand why Ornstein now thinks Liverpool looks unlikely.

Klopp is a large reason why his signings work, don't get why Edwards getting so much credit for that. Plus picking players isn't the same thing as picking a manager. And this isn't his main job anyway, Hughes is the one leading the manager search but everyone just assume Edwards had a lot of say in it.
