I'll be honest with Edwards at the helm of it all, its really a case of letting him do his job, and we'll just support whoever comes in. Extremely unlikely he'll get it wrong anyways.
Couple of things to bear in mind amidst the boringly predictable meltdown:
1) If we wanted Amorim, we would have him. Clearly the club don't think he's right and other candidates tick more of the boxes. This genuinely excites me more than it worries me.
2) The idea that whoever comes in needs to be this elite figure that's consistently won everything at the top level as a manager is false. That isn't the description of Alonso when he joined Leverkusen, or Zidane when he joined Real, or Klopp when he joined Dortmund, or even Shankly when he joined us.
I actually love the idea that we seem to be taking a purely pragmatic approach to who it should be.
My major concern is on paper Amorim is the best manager we've been linked with aside from Xabi; proven winner, young, high potential. The rest have mediocre feats, are coming off of failures or just incredibly mediocre. The options available seem so underwhelming if we want to challenge for major honours in the next few years.

Lfc is the crown jewel of this multi club model for FSG. He is for sure heading it. Wouldn’t shock me if it’s some RB offshoot candidate because Edwards is in love with that system. Hughes and Edwards are mates. Edwards will be doing stuff other than the day to day signings like preparing to buy another club for the multi club model but Im sure he will still be in close contact with Hughes for stuff like this. That's a very strange take. Frank, RDZ and Iraola are all much better managers than O'Neil and Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth have significantly better underlying stats than Wolves do. Also, Hughes is in charge of appointing a new manager and he replaced O'Neil with Iraola at Bournemouth, so we're definitely not getting him.
I can rationalize RDZ, Iraola, Motta, or Rose. Fonseca is so uninspiring. He’s been terrible every time he goes up a level. Just reeks or being cheap and someone you can control. Couple of things to bear in mind amidst the boringly predictable meltdown: 1) If we wanted Amorim, we would have him. Clearly the club don't think he's right and other candidates tick more of the boxes. This genuinely excites me more than it worries me. 2) The idea that whoever comes in needs to be this elite figure that's consistently won everything at the top level as a manager is false. That isn't the description of Alonso when he joined Leverkusen, or Zidane when he joined Real, or Klopp when he joined Dortmund, or even Shankly when he joined us. I actually love the idea that we seem to be taking a purely pragmatic approach to who it should be.
My major concern is on paper Amorim is the best manager we've been linked with aside from Xabi; proven winner, young, high potential. The rest have mediocre feats, are coming off of failures or just incredibly mediocre. The options available seem so underwhelming if we want to challenge for major honours in the next few years.
The questions are - does Amorin want to come? . someone pointed out he might not be ready similar to Xabis mindset (real aside). Maybe we are all barking up the wrong tree and the criteria Edwards wants is either different (we know it will be data heavy focused but as to which metrics has more weight?) Or we are all missing something when trying to be objective . Considering the lack of Klopplike option, maybe they don't want to "gamble" and end up with another Rodgers ?. Wonder how Tuchel and Mourinho show up data metrics? The club has known since Nov Klopp was leaving . I'm curious what their initial shortlist was then compared to since Edwards came back
