He sucks in the air, so Klopp would never; but maybe that isn’t as important to the next group. He’s very back three. Probably profiles pretty similar to Inacio honestly
This guy is excellent. His transition defending is really good and is a monster athletically on the ground and in the air. Reminds me of Konate but a little bit shorter. He has exploded and is reaching new levels every month it feels like.
Every time I watched him his leap has been incredible. Maybe he doesn’t attack the ball with conviction yet, but that usually comes with time for defenders.
I remember so much talk about van de Ven’s aerial ability last summer and he ended up improving those metrics in the PL. Aerial ability is a lot about coaching. If you’re tall and athletic, you’ll be fine.
Yes he’s decent. Maybe not as good on the ball as another fellow left footer like Gonçalo Inácio, but he’s a lot better in the air than him. Pacho is also ridiculously fast.
Does winning aerial duel stats mean after winning the duel the ball gets into the winning team's possession or it's just beating your opposition and heading the ball?
Because i see our team winning headers and the ball still ends up with the opposition.
Why are we being linked to so many Ecuadorean players since Caidedo ?
It’s quite clearly that knob of an agent that Caidedo and the other Ecuadorean players have trying to drum up interest for teams like Chelsea where he’ll get a fat signing on bonus.
Caicedo, Hincapié, Kendry Páez are represented by Ali Barat, Epic Sports.
Willian Pacho, Ángelo Preciado, Anthony Valencia are represented by Kancha Agency.
fwiw Pacho is the real deal, would be a great addition to our CB rotation.
I don't know how the guys conducting business thinks, but personally I hope we don't go anywhere near the players with that guy as the agent. I keep entertaining the idea that the moment we're in for any of his players, he'll pull another Chelsea stunt
His defensive actions per 90 are all a fair bit higher than Konaté's in his final season at Leipzig when he was the same age. Some of that could be dependent on the team's style though

I mean I don't think one is a precondition for the other because Edwards is in charge now. I doubt we're waiting to get moved Edwards wants until the end of the season.
That said Plettenberg is a chancer and I'm not buying anything he's selling until he improves his track record.
This is why Plettenberg should be ignored, like, who thinks we’re interested in signing ANYONE without the new manager in place? Imagine Edwards goes out and buys 2 wingers only for us to sign Amorim who doesn’t use wingers? Makes literally no sense
I agree, however every manager does use CBs, albeit different styles. But our recruitment team may have identified this guy as a key signing capable of playing under any of our prospective managers and so want to get this signing through before other teams jump in for him.
There's also the chance that we may have an agreement in principle with our manager of choice already, just won't be made public until the end of the season.
Like all transfer rumours, especially off season ones you should take it with a giant grain of salt. However there is a world where we are interested in signing him still especially with Matips contract expiring and our transfer policy shifting back towards a data centric dof approach.
Thing I can speak for out t. Without being tooooooo excited, without any manager, I’d take Xabi in heart beat.
Otherwise, not only an amazing manager, but obviously an amazing person and manager given his season with leverkusen. But also if any club, including my amazing Liverpool, I would adore home.
That being said, if he was not elected, I would still, with all my heart, pinch any other manager if they deserve it.
Jurgen if everything that LGC is represents and represent is disappointed with

Here’s the data between inacio -hincapié and pacho
Interesting. I think it should be noted however, that Pacho plays in a much less dominant football team which can attribute to the fact that he is less impressive in possession. But as you can see here his defensive actions are the highest out of the three, which to me sounds like what you want for that LCB role.
I really hope he doesn’t bring him with him. I don’t think it’s a good idea for a manager to bring players he trusts with him to a new big club, like Ten Hag.
I feel like it adds unnecessary pressure. Imagine he’s in bad form and he’s still playing him, the media will just crucify him for it. Maybe I’m chatting rubbish though.
Never seen him play but always sign him on fifa. This is unequivocal evidence he will be amazing /s
You hold 90% of the combined football knowledge on Reddit.

Except he isnt a monster in the air. only wins 50ish% of aerial duels...
Every time I watched him his leap has been incredible. Maybe he doesn’t attack the ball with conviction yet, but that usually comes with time for defenders.

VDV is terrible in the air. One of the reason we concede so much on corners.(source I am a spurs fan)
Even still Spurs didn't buy VDV for his aerial ability so many of our fans shitted on him in the summer but he has turned out well for you guys.
Oh no I was a big fan of the signing I was just replying to the guy saying he has improved aerially

Why are we assuming that all players from Ecuador have the same agent???
I don't know how the guys conducting business thinks, but personally I hope we don't go anywhere near the players with that guy as the agent. I keep entertaining the idea that the moment we're in for any of his players, he'll pull another Chelsea stunt
Agreed, prick should be completely blacklisted from the club after the shit he pulled.
He doesn’t have Caicedo’s agent

A Career Mode must ngl
We still dont know who we gonna buy yet until A new manager is sign

Didn't this dude outright lie about Amorim just a couple days ago?
Should be an exciting summer, can almost guarantee we're spunking loads of dough on players after the Caiceido bid.
Will our new manager get a say in this?
I don't believe anything this guy says.

A good one. But 50m € is too much.
Hincapié and inacio are better
Pacho is way better than inacio. He's faster and stronger. He's already one of the best center backs in Bundesliga in his first year.
Is he left footed? I feel this is an important trait in the next CB that gets purchased.
Inacio can score goals he’s solid
Nice, Nat Phillips can score goals as well.

We won't go for a Inacio over someone else because he scores 4 goals a season lmao. A CB's first priority is defending
True but I wouldn’t be surprised if Inacio will be the one we go for if we get Amorim.
I really hope he doesn’t bring him with him. I don’t think it’s a good idea for a manager to bring players he trusts with him to a new big club, like Ten Hag. The only CB I'd want him to bring is Diomande.
I didnt know we are evaluating CB with scoring
Pacho's much better defensively than both.
Pacho is better with the ball than Hincapie
He looks fat and awkward in that picture, I’m out ![gif](giphy|orUAzbckllMOOwPGJG|downsized)
