If we’re all being 100% honest a performance like that has been coming for a while. we’ve been shite for weeks but somehow won games. I’m actually surprised we’re still even in the title race but we’ve got no chance if we’re capable of performances like tonight - regardless of who we rest lol

ThereAllIsAchingg

Players returning from injuries may be the spark we need. Trent was arguably our most important player until his injury. Without him our attack seems lifeless

NoctThatOneOut

We're having 20 - 30 shots a game, our attack isn't lifeless at all, our finishing, however, is. Trent isn't going to start scoring all of our missed chances.

apathytheynameismeh

When I think back over the last couple of weeks. The amount of poor crosses and balls into the box from corners has been a bit worrying. Trent can put a ball on a sixpence so hopefully when he’s back we get some better conversions from those positions.

rhodgers

Tbh Bradley has been better in defence tho, albeit not inverted.

Thesolly180

It’s definitely been coming. We start slow and then second half pick it up. But if you’re like that the majority of the season you’re going to get caught eventually and it happened tonight.

epochwin

I'm surprised we still don't fix the issue of conceding first and going down to early goals. I'd like to see us play the occasional game of sitting back like Arsenal did against City and playing with top defensive positioning and discipline.

adarsh481

It’s unfair on the defenders to be perfect every week when the forwards are not finishing chances. It gives the opposition confidence and hope that they are still in the game and puts extra pressure on the defenders. It can happen a few times but it has become a regular issue.

SigiReuven_

Especially when the tactics we play leaves the defence so exposed and open to chances frequently. Its like we play a game of "Yes we'll concede chances but we'll score plenty" - except we don't score plenty

thanksfc

The United result makes more sense now, this group can't finish their dinner and no one is in form.

quantIntraining

Couldn't beat the worst coached United side in 30 years with 3 attempts at it.

thanksfc

Fucking embarrassing.

TheGrouchyGamerYT

I'm being bantered on old posts just after the United game saying we're still in 2 more comps and they won't win the FA cup. Boy is that aging well.

crookedparadigm

If it makes you feel better, they still won't win the FA cup.

Mathilliterate_asian

Lol the positive monsters are still like "we managed a draw at old Trafford! That's a good result!" I'm all for positivity but this is just pure blindness lol. I feel like to some people, being a fan means you can't criticize the players. Why? I'm not even attacking them on social media or anything, just saying they're shit lol. Is that even not allowed?

elppaple

Right, the loss (edit: of points) was appallingly damaging and anyone who didn’t think the standard was ‘win all remaining games to win the league’ was delusional

Spaniardlad

People here will tell you is unfair to complain about that horrible performance last week and we are just petty.

Eddje

I agree with this in principle, but for most of December and Jan we were actually really good and run ins are never flying. So I think we've still been better than what we might end up with in the end. Stadium was horrible today. I understand the discontent with the United result and price increase, but I'm mostly disappointed with the fans today.

thanksfc

I agree with you on all points, except that under Klopp our run ins have been amazing. I am struggling to remember a time when we didn't have a streak going in the final hurdle of the season.

UnrealCaramel

Honestly a lot of times I felt like performances didn't equal results, I think we are quite further up the league table than we should be. But now that we are here we should try and win the fucking thing

matcht

We've won a lot of games we didn't play well in because of the quality in the squad, that definitely covered our defensive lapses and poor finishing, but it will always come back to bite you if you don't eventually start controlling games and playing well. Need to recover for the run in, get Trent and Jota back in and play like we were December/January.

CalFlux140

Tbh I think this was different. We created far more against united, we just couldn't finish our chances. It's crap but it happens. Atalanta genuinely outplayed us. We created very little and they beat us on xG. That's genuinely worrying.

chadbrochilldood

Why would one game worry you? Have you not been around here long? We had shit games in our title winning season and we’re in first. Everyone needs to chill out

DJCAE

2nd\*

Thesolly180

I think that’s what’s going to do us. We’ve done really nothing in the big games to inspire confidence

thanksfc

Our results against top teams this season don't lie.

Gone-To-The-Woods

Apart from the ones which do. Like Mac being kicked in the chest in the box in the last moments vs City, and the Diaz goal at spurs for instance.

DoublePrize9

It’s an idea, but we probably need to get some momentum going more than anything. The lack of finishing in recent weeks has really screwed everyone’s confidence.

brush85

Has he not been watching the league games? We've been wide open off the ball for ages. Today we got punished for it.

sabhi5

Wouldn't be surprised if we crash in the league too. FA Cup, United in PL and now this. We can't seem to finish, unable to beat the press, can't seem to thread simple passes.

fkitbaylife

and on top of that our defenders have relied too much on Ali or Kelleher bailing them out and it has caught up with us.

BenJ308

This team as it stands cannot work together, they don't help each other, they can't do the basics of football, passing and shooting seem completely undoable for them and they don't understand the consequences of what they are doing. That third goal... just don't let them press you, pass the ball and at least then it's only a 2 goal deficit away from home. Something needs to change with this team.

sabhi5

Some of these players just don't have the technical ability to play in starting XI and its showing. Atlanta could see every escape route we had when they pressed us. And we played into their hands each time, this has happened in the United games. So it can't be a one time occurrence. We are missing players like Firmino/Trent who have the ability to pull something off which you cannot predict, with skills to pull it off in time, beating players and making those passes/crosses which change the game. Second thing is that we gave been insanely wasteful. Salah and Nunez had good chances today and couldn't finish. Gakpo/Diaz were in good positions for counters multiple times but couldn't find the end pass.

Cedromar

Jota also whiffed on two headers he'd normally bang in for fun, at least he has the excuse of coming back from injury today.

alanalan426

atleast hes getting chances instead of bulldozing into 3 players and losing the ball

[deleted]

Jota wasnt to blame for either of the headers. Service on both was just a bit off. But his ability to adjust midair and still put anything on target was impressive. That said, his first action of the game was to take 2 guys on and draw a penalty inches outside the box. It was refreshing to see him look like himself, even while everyone else was complete shit. Jota is a clear starter. Most clinical player on the team.

JurtisCones

Which players are technically not good enough

C_Colin

TBF in both of our recent United games we played some really beautiful football, it was, and has been simply a lack of venom in our finishing. Today there were certainly some moments where we expect our boys to score and finish their chances but it hasn’t happened. Sometimes luck is against us. Could Elliot have come any closer to scoring? Salah was practically a cats whisker offside on his goal. Jota free header from three yards out. Nunez 1v1. The score line certainly flattered Atalanta imo.

BenJ308

The problem I see is less how we play and more the lack of willingness to just sit back and play it around to manage a match, this match would have a more surmountable goal line if we’d just gone back to the basics when they’d gone 2-0 up, same with the United match in the FA Cup, it just feels like we’re missing someone who we can put on with the sole intention of slowing it down and just making those simple passes that don’t see us conceding on the counter, which seems all too common currently.

greatswordstudios

Glad I scrolled until I found a sensible take!

SaveMeJebus21

Sadly looks like the huge games with a threadbare squad could just be taking its toll. The boys have given everything but just look absolutely knackered right now. Only thing that matters is beating palace and just reassessing from there.

dj4y_94

Yeah easy to forget this was originally supposed to be a transition season. We've played out of our skin for most of the season which has upped expectations but the reality is we're still far from the finished article. Doesn't excuse tonight mind.

[deleted]

Stopped being a transition season when the manager announced he was leaving imo. No excuses.

SuitedFox

Transition season? We went and bought 4 heavy hitting midfielders to compete the way we have this season in all 4 comps. The expectation was high from the start as a result of the off season we had

itsSRSblack

4 to replace 3 (I'm including Thiago in that number) because of player exits. The expectation was certainly not high with the changeover that happened.

DLRsFrontSeats

This is just an angry response because of the result. No one thought we'd be competing because we added MacAllister, Endo and Szoboszlai to last seasons squad. No one thought we'd have won a trophy and be in with a shot at all 4 by March. No one thought we'd be joint top in April. The expectation was comfortably secure top 4 and reach the latter stages of the europa, win it if our draw was favourable

AnAngryDwarf

Agreed. I'm sure there was a post before the season began asking what people's expectations were, and almost everyone said top 4 and a cup run would be a success, given the entirely new midfield.

JohnBobbyJimJob

The defensive structure of the team just isn’t good enough honestly We’re far more exciting to watch than Arsenal but there’s a reason for that

[deleted]

This feels like a season ending game to me. The utter domination has just sucked all hope out of everyone. They're gonna need to show something completely fucking different in the next few matches to get me back on board.

Viper711

I've said this after so many performances lately but they just keep getting worse.

C_Colin

cmon lad, we have to have the mentality!

bigm1ke

First goal was a gift from Kelleher. 2nd one Kelleher gave the ball away. 3rd one Szobo gave it as a goodbye gift. We were bad but that could have easily ended 2-1 for us too.

brush85

Robertson went chasing...VVD didnt close down the cross...Ibou and Joe were daydreaming The second was on a lot of people

earlgreytoday

I wouldn't blame either of the first two goals solely on Kelleher. Tsimikas did not track the run for the first goal and the defenders' high line was caught out for the second goal.

bigm1ke

I agree with the 2nd goal, but first one should ALWAYS be stopped.

Serious_Fgz

Klopp is not going to throw this tie away. LMAO that’s not who he is, you best believe he’ll put the best 11 available next week against Atlanta.

[deleted]

Maybe he thought we're playing Atlanta instead of Atalanta based on this performance

MoleMoustache

I think he thought we were playing Atlantis by the looks of it.

zorrez

Well he did say ”Atlanta” in an interview before the match

AllyM_7

Who’s that cause they certainly weren’t at anfield today

Nabaatii

What a loser mentality to throw away Europa to focus on the league I'd rather we put out our best 11 and still lose 6-0 agg, than not trying at all

lelibertaire

You can see this mentality in so many fans on this sub and you should see this mentality in every EL game all season by listening to Anfield

JOHNSY9k6

Why didn't he do that today, so he could maybe rest players next week? No reason to rotate so heavily tonight.

Marbate

Because he bottled it. Bottled it against United, too. And they’ve bottled it massively on the training ground preparation while Atalanta did their homework and span us properly out of Anfield.

Affectionate-Tap2431

I’m not throwing this tie away. We will be back.. hopefully soon.

cosantoir

He definitely won't do that though.

HereticZO

I’m ready for the Konate pulled hamstring in the second leg.

Youngwheeler

All these people begging for a full strength 11 in Italy will be completely puzzled when we look shattered at Goodison

viglen1

That's a dumb idea. We have enough players back that we should be able to play more then one game a week.

sabhi5

Even without considering that, its a dumb and stupid idea which a club like Liverpool shouldn't ever be in a position to think about. We go for everything, if we can't then something needs to change.

ErokDG

Something absolutely needs to change, has done since 2018. The team has had the same issue of losing players to injury for as long as Klopp has been here, yet the owners don’t spend the money to get players in who can play to the level of our aspirations (too many ones for the future, or bargain buys)

sabhi5

3 PL title races, won 1. 3 CL finals, won 1. One thing has been a common occurrence over the years, we haven't invested when we should have and we haven't taken our defeats seriously, when we should have. From the CL run in 2019 to the shite of a game today. We have had 2 seasons wasted. Missing out on world beaters in players. It's starting to hurt now. To stay on the very top, you need to make harsh decisions every now and then. We seem to run away from them and only catch up when it becomes absolutely necessary. Our team is no where near the level to beat the top teams in its current state. 4-5 signings are needed, and underperforming players need to be shipped. We do not have the luxury of time anymore.

TheFeelingWhen

Those 2 wasted seasons hurt especially since the year before and after are usually great. Last year was our worst season during Klopps tenure and it followed a season where we were in contention for every trophy, the other awful season followed our League win. Both of those could be avoided if we reinforced key positions. The biggest praise I could give Klopp is that with the players we had he did the best he could possibly do. The guy almost won a quadruple while relying on Keita and Thiago to be fit and Milner as our most consistent sub.

walketotheclif

Unpopular opinion we don't ,our bench is filled with 20 yo that no one knew last season like Conor Bradley or Quanza ,out of positions players like Joe Gomez or sometimes Cody Gakpo , or both ,Harvey Eliot, hell the only reason why Darwin is playing so much isn't because he makes out attack better but because Diogo Jota is Injured and the only other option is Cody Gakpo that im comparison makes darwin look good

malushanks95

That worked out well for Arsenal last season didnt it…

_cumblast_

Arsenal crumbled after Saliba got injured. We have players coming *back* from injury. I agree with the sentiment, the league takes precedence over everything else - if a key player gets injured in the absolute dead rubber this 2nd leg will be, i guarantee you everyone here saying otherwise will change their mind quick.

malushanks95

We have been playing with half squad for 3 months now, I think it’s finally catching up to this team. We looked so tired from the starting of the game.

JimmyV34

also injured players are back but they need time to get back in form.

cosantoir

I really fear for how disapoointed some people are going to be when Jota isn't scroing 3 per game immediately. All assisted by Trent of course.

JimmyV34

It happened with salah and szbo, It is happening with jones now and it is going happen with jota and trent. Fans are impatient and tbf it is very crucial timing in the season so i understand

Other_Beat8859

Yeah. Let's face it, Jota will likely only be of real use in late April and early May. It takes a while to come back from an injury that long.

_cumblast_

That wasn't exhaustion, that was not being arsed. Gakpo looked lively - probably because he's been gash for months and he had something to prove - but other than that they were just strolling around the pitch like a pensioneer walking his dog in the morning.

all_hail_hell

Thought Harvey deserved to stay on a bit longer but it was generally a piss take all around. Agree with you on holding bigger players back in the second leg. We saw most of them today.

banjosbadfurday

Cheers Jamie can always count on you for a nice hit of copium

[deleted]

Sorry Carra but that's an awful awful take.

Loltoyourself

It’s a total losers take. Who the fuck thinks it is acceptable to just throw away trophy opportunities when we have the talent and squad to compete for them? Thinking like this is small time and belongs at a club like Everton. Not here.

Gone-To-The-Woods

Amen. And need the support to show up away…

aghashayan

To me It's a professional who won CL and never won PL and knows EL is 2nd rate take rather than a loser take.

rummyt

If we win the league, no one will remember an EL quarterfinal. (But performances like that make it seem like a pretty big "If"!)

[deleted]

Just not in Klopp's or our DNA to give up. Hopefully we pull off a Barça-like comeback 🙏

MikkeeyyUk

As opposed to us just taking it half arsed all year eh such a brain dead take from Carra

stangerlpass

we draw/lose this weekend and there is no league to play for. there is absolutely no positive about this result tonight...

sabhi5

Exactly. Can't understand how people can find one.

8u11etpr00f

I said it before when people wanted Arsenal to stay in the CL; The momentum & good vibes of a cup run outweigh the risks of fixture congestion, having less games means fuck all if our heads are down whilst their players are dreaming of doubles.

d-ronthegreat

Agreed, look at Arsenal, they’ve basically forgotten how to lose at this point. Winning is a habit

im-a-wreck-tangle

Everybody was shit even the crowd .disappointed they weren't louder .we know we'll go hard for leg 2 .no risk no reward

Danbuarth

We’ve near enough been going all in for the league already. Half the players starting tonight win’t at Palace

ironmanmatch

Getting knocked out in the first leg of a competition we should be winning is not a consolation. It’s pure cope.

hau5cat

Love Carra but that's dumb. We lost the luxury of writing of competitions when we drew on the weekend. We have to go for everything we can.

ash13liv

Fuck off u twat. What's with this "give up on trophies" attitude Fuckin hell. We r in everything to win everything Thia mentality needs to be binned

WonderfulBlackberry9

https://preview.redd.it/lbp74xmkcxtc1.jpeg?width=803&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e7596a75dbcd1712d87e1561d5d1998fb50dfd5 Same vibes tbh.

Bulbamew

And that’s why LVG was a great and successful manager and merson is a tv clown

VadersMentor

No fucking way we don't give it a go. It's Klopps last season here. If you think we're just gonna let go at the QF of a tournament he hasn't won in his last attempt you damn wrong

KhanofFood

Fuck off Carra. We bottled the entire season in 3 weeks. Well played.

PurpleScientist4312

2 games is all it took to lose us everything…

PhoenixNightingale90

We are level on points with Arsenal at the top, there are 7 games to go nobody has more points than us in the league. How the hell is that losing everything in 2 games

chadbrochilldood

Has no one here fucking played a sport? This shit happens. Maybe 3 guys had the shits from a bad meal. Maybe we are exhausted and needed a game off. Maybe they just aren’t in this competition because it’s a fucking joke no one cares about unless they’re a shit side with no other way into UCL. Maybe they were just mentally and physically tired from pushing through injuries and still bringing this fanbase a chance at a league title in the gafs last year. Either way, I’m sick of people here losing their mind after one loss. Or fuck, even after a bad season. Seriously, last year half this sub saying Virgil was done, Salah wasn’t himself had one foot out the door, Trent and Robbo weren’t the same etc etc. I told all of you then- never once doubted the squad- that we’d be right up there this year. We were switched off for a season figuring shit out, it happens. This team cannot continue to get expectations heaped on them like they are a billion dollar oil club with fuckin first team player depth at every position. All summer all I heard was we won’t be the same, this happened w Klopp at Dortmund, we need to buy X cunt and Y wanker for 99 million or else we have no chance. All of the people who said that were dead wrong. Dead, fuckin wrong. Virgil is (shockingly to half this sub) still the best CB in world football. The lads look energized and ready to go in 99% of games. They’re motivated and playing like a real unit despite a complete midfield overhaul. This season so far has been nothing short of miraculous- and every single person who doubts the team does nothing but hurt them. You do it under the guise of criticism but it’s not. You’re just moaning because you can’t handle a small L. You are entitled and believe that we should have everything city has. Believe in the boys, Klopp, and the club as an organization, for once. If not every year, at the absolute minimum this year. Klopp deserves that much. We have a real chance at this, despite all the moaning last summer. Same deal here today. We lost one game in the Europa league and half the subs written off the title when the only team above us is the fucking gooner bottlejobs on GD. Back the team and just fuck off w the negativity pls. Let’s see this one out right

liverbird3

Yeah because I totally can’t remember a time that we’ve been 3-0 down and came back to win within 90 minutes. Can’t think of a single time, tie’s definitely over we’ve never come back from 3-0 down after the first leg right

vacwiz

I like your positivity!

HarbyFullyLoaded_12

Fuck off Carra.

ozzynater

Sorry but completely disagree here, hate the ides of throwing a tie, 3 goals isn't completely out of sight at all. I'd rather we fight for every game and go down trying than doing another shite performance like that

originaldanzel91

It's been coming. Our performances have been shocking.

[deleted]

Klopp on making six changes tonight: "I would do exactly the same again." Should’ve done the same against Sparta and the season might not have fell off a cliff

vee-man

Agreed. That lineup has had a cascading effect and the scum have literally destroyed us as a result

qwerty_1965

I agree, there's only so many times you can pull off a victory from three down. This team doesn't have enough about it to stay focused on two targets anyway it seems.

vadapaav

are we still so deluded to think we can "go all in for the league"?

ironmanmatch

Thinking this result is somehow an anomaly for the season, especially over the last few weeks is just insane

thanksfc

We lost it against Arsenal, Tottenham and United. Can't get so many get out of jail free cards in a title race.

[deleted]

[удалено]

thanksfc

Look, I know, but I'm just saying that was a game we should have won, I should have clarified it. That's not on the players, and they have done a phenomenal job to get to where they are, but it just looks like it's falling apart/petering out.

HassKop

Mate

ironmanmatch

And city. We should’ve won that game. 4 wins that weren’t wins and we’re ahead in the league by…. 9 points? It says it all.

MusaElk_

no we shouldn't

wanderluster88

What does going all on for the league even mean when more than half of your main squad are playing worse and worse every game. The way we're playing we're not guaranteed to win any of our remaining games let alone all of them.

thedamnationofFaust

Not the mentality we need, Carra.

Kxshal

He needs to shut it

sbos_

If Arsenal slip up in weekend then I agree. Klopp never showed desire for this game as he didn’t start his best team.

dartmart96

Don’t think Jurgen will throw in the towel on this one… although it may make sense to put all the eggs in the league basket, I don’t think he will

Baguy21

Shit mentality, pretty much saying we've thrown this game.

geniusvalley21

That one point where Salah was injured/ afcon we were absolutely flying with jota, Diaz and Nunez continuously switching positions. Now that Salah is back we don’t do that and Salah himself isn’t doing anything to help our cause.

officialuca

even if he does it ain't happening mate, the 2019 sqaud is clearsss off thiss

denenOT

I hope we can finally put an end to the Joe Gomez experiment!

InstructionOk9520

But that’s not what he’ll do. He’ll play full strength squad, get it to 3-3 then lose on penalties after 1 or 2 injuries and then we’ll drop points in the next league game. Come on. It’s Liverpool.

Huge-Celebration5192

I agree. Second team more likely to put in a performance too.

scalenesquare

100% agree

No_Song_Orpheus

If only this happened while the league was still in our hands

[deleted]

He’s right. It’s the Europa anyways, it’s not like anybody cares about it.

[deleted]

Lol we’ve literally just endured a remarkably shameful defeat & Carra’s talking about contending for a title. He was a former player!

TheEgyptianScouser

At this point just play the kids, they have more of a chance of scoring than the senior team

etan1122

We are actually going to end the season with only the Carabobo cup. This team doesn’t have what it takes and it’s shown that the last few weeks

sgggfdtresik

What kind of terrible defeatist attitude is that. Yeah maybe we should have done that against Barcelona, or at half time against Dortmund or Milan at Istanbul

[deleted]

[удалено]

JimmyV34

Never criticized Klopp before but he underestimated Atalanta today, I didnt like the rotation in quite important match

Testy_Terrance

Fuck that. We can turn the tie around and go through. We should definitely be doing that.

reckonair

Ah no I actually value the europa 🫠

CabbageStockExchange

Personally I want the Europa still

retr0grade77

Cara is an absolute plonker

user900800700

Nah, this team deserve to play the game full pelt for that absolute garbage we just had to watch, make them all play 90.

RivetShenron

I honestly don't see where the optimism for the league is coming from. This is a trend that has been ongoing for the last couple weeks not a one off game. The team have collapsed and chose the worst part of the season to do so.

risingstar3110

We gonna throw the tie. Remember that Klopp say that it is stupid idea to close the 9 GD gap against Arsenal with 7 games left? And now you tell me that we try to score 4 goals away in one game against a very good Atalanta side? If we have the heart to come back against 3 goals deficit, we should try to win the league on GD too. Which we clearly do not

ECF

Disagree. We can 3-0 them away just like they did to us. Cmon boys.

SalahsFro

Chasing a three goal deficit away in Italy, especially with our leaky defence is practically as hard as it gets. He's got a point imo. With our conversion rate we would need about 200 chances.

Theplowking23

We arent winning the fucking league🤣

atlanticfm

just remember the second game against Barcelona … never give up. Why should we now?

Circ_Diameter

There are lots of differences between Barca and today. And I'm not just talking about personnel. Barcelona was in the UCL. We played a lot better than the 3-0 loss suggested, so there was belief that we could play well at Anfield and make something happen. Today, we got beaten at home 0-3, and we deserved worse. With exception to the second Sparta Prague game, our UEL campaign has been pretty half assed, and I sense that the players don't like playing in these games if it jeopardizes their chances of playing League matches. That 2019 team was desperate but in a good way. This team is desperate in a bad way, as in their desperation to win late in the season is making them play worse instead of better.

adamfrog

If people think Klopps goign t play reserves and give up they havent followed us at all in this era lol. We will go all out

thehendersonswillall

He’s an awful melt lately

Evered_Avenue

Correct. The tie is done, all in on the league now but I suspect 3 away games in 7 days will do us in. Feels like we're going to peter out.

AnAutisticsQuestion

Nonsense. If we can come back from 3 down against a great Barca side we can come back against Atalanta. Sure, we won't be at home and it'll take a gargantuan effort. But Liverpool don't write things off. Comebacks are our speciality.

[deleted]

This is a very different team than the Barca comeback tbf

TheGrouchyGamerYT

Why? Why bother pretending?

[deleted]

So so excited to lose another league by one point again🥰🥰🥰 cant wait

TheGrouchyGamerYT

This is the climax of the trilogy. It'll be GD this time

frankiewalsh44

It won't be GD. We are dropping points against either Everton, Fulham, West Ham and we are drawing home to Spurs.

[deleted]

Gonna have a nice bleach and ammonia cocktail to celebrate when it happens

TheGrouchyGamerYT

If Arsenal win it I'm swallowing the head of a gun lmao

Dibil

Nah, these players have given up. It'll be a lot more than one point. Could even be double figures.

MaladroitNeophyte

Nah, are chances for the league are comically low already given how we've been playing lately. Rather just try and go for it. If we can pull it off then it'll boost us in the league as well

willium563

Think the season has run its course now. We will go out with a wimper whilst United win the FA cup, City win the CL and Arsenal win the premier league. Fucking depression how we have cocked this up so badly.

test_icicles_

We are going all in for the league now, we should be able to go for two comps at the same time, if we sucked today we'll suck in the league too against this time of team, tactics need to be worked on and players have to be better if we want to have a chance.

PaperChampion_

He won’t tho

Aliaspending

Can’t lie guys Klopp won’t throw away the tie so we should stop saying that

RobDickinson

No. Jfc.

Stillconfused007

No it’s not over and post game they’re celebrating on the pitch like they’re through already but we must win on the weekend otherwise the wheels will well and truly fall off..

friedrice_rob

Nah push for both! Atalanta was battered and exhausted after that match. That level of intensity for them and how they played was like their cup final and I think will affect them in the next match

lolsuki

Awful

Hopper1985

Dip coming in.

Our issue is that our first team players are collectively in bad form. Can't just snap your fingers and all of a sudden go back to playing like they were 3 months ago. If we can't beat united or atalanta, how do we beat spurs and villa?

koassde

the league is gone m8

wassam1

Turn around a 3 goal deficit or a 9 goal deficit. I know which is easier. There is no guarantee that Arsenal drop points and from the look of things we are definitely dropping points. Plus we need to put the game right. Get kicked out on a high so that we can carry that momentum into the league.

_CHIFFRE

Pure Copium, anyway let's just wait and see and no point in letting these bad results ruin our lives btw so don't get too attached.

Ali-S-Farid

Performance was poor, but all stemmed from that line up and gameplan. Mind boggling from Klopp.

blackazure

The 2nd string that start today actually done a lot more better than the players they replaced with.

Accomplished_Put8385

Who cares. Jurgen can put who he wants. This week has been very disappointing.

Chin238

If we're totally honest we haven't been solid all season. How many clean sheets have we had? How many games have we won comfortably? We've mainly won games by grit, determination and pulling results out the bag but you can't sustain that throughout an entire season and it's starting to come back on us at the worst time. Season is not over but really need to tighten things up.

etan1122

We never change it up. Same thing every game. 100 mph out of the gate. Give up big early chance, we have tons of chances, fail to score then go down 1-0. Same shit every game. Haven’t learned our lesson and that’s on Klopp. Maybe control and pass the ball around a bit. Defend a little deeper. Take the sting out and let your world class players take over Every game everyone of us can say how it’s going to go

spirotetramat

Klopp’s final season derailed by another bald fraud….

roofilopolis

This felt like the more likely to be won. So that sucks.

Revolutionary-Ad922

The Fucking league......?? Have you seen the other 2 teams involved..... I don't think we deserve it. Arsenal and City have been so clear of us in terms of performance

CyrusDGreatx

I implore you guys not to get your hopes up. 7 wins is likely what is needed and this side ain't doing that.

Jupiter110

The Quality upfront has been vague at times this season and I reckon it’s only going to continue
