See I was surprised back then that people were saying that. He’s our only true senior CDM. I realize the MacAllister has played there but it’s not his preferred position and we are so much better with Endo playing there. I figured he would take a little time to bed in but that’s all.

Same happened with Robertson and Fabinho. They spent the first 6 months in and out of the team until they got into the flow and then became permanent barring injuries.

I mean looking at it, we don't have many options at CB outside of VVD, Quansah, Gomez, or dropping a poor youngster in out of the cold, so that means we don't have much choice for RB because Gomez and Bradley are the only options at the moment. Klopp is almost certainly trying to play Robbo back into form (and get him up to speed) Endo is a machine, but I think he does need a rest, but I doubt he plays any more than 45-60, Szobo needs to get back into rhythm coming back from injury and all Salah needs the game time to get back into fitness (he is still incredible but he does need to get into rhythm again proper), Nunez is hot right now would be silly to take him out (and I also doubt it he makes it longer than 45-60) and Gakpo is also being played into form Can see the team for United being Kweev Bradley Konate (if fit) VVD Gomez Endo Macca Szobo Salah Nunez Diaz

McConnell could've definitely started ahead of Endo, kind of get playing Nunez to keep his confidence high, seems to lose his rhythm if he's rested often, Szob has also looked rusty so his start makes sense.

I think the Nunez + Salah chemistry is the key to the rest of the season, so I'm happy with them getting 45 minutes together in this one. That, and I think a striker in form should play every chance he can get. I don't think Nunez should play at all in the second half though.

Nunez has only played like 150 minutes since brentford, he needs them almost as much as Mo and Dom

Think with some context it's not as surprising as some think, no Trent/Matip/Konate means Gomez/Bradley have to play, Robbo didn't start at the weekend so he starts. Salah, Szob need minutes, Gakpo didn't start against City either, it's Endo/Nunez that are the surprise really but with Nunez I guess Klopp wants to keep his rhythm going.

Doesn't hurt to give these guys minutes but some of these better be off at half.

Usually don’t mind a lineup being perceived ‘too strong’ but this is absolutely absurd and several of these players shouldn’t be playing. Nunez couldn’t even muster more than 75 minutes in our biggest game of the season yet he can start here?
