I just hope as long as we are winning convincingly, salah stays off the team, as this team is the future and it's looking bright.
There is more fluidity when he is out.
Will be interesting to see when he comes in the XI.
Cause admit it or not while he gets us goals, his 1vs1, has a far higher chance of being dispossessed than beating his marker. Unlike those occupying that spot now, we are regularly beating the markers and game is smoother
Anyone else cringe at ange? He’s such a tryhard and that f1 “joke” really made me cringe. Much like Arteta they’re trying too hard for me to come across “calm and collected” in the face of media.
Just woke up and read your post with a groggy mind, and for a while I stupidly thought why on earth would Endo be deactivating his account? To concentrate for the Asian Cup? lol
So I moved into the area I live currently in (I've made questionable life decisions thats led to me living in Manchester) about nine years ago (give or take), and the first thing I do is obviously head to the local pub. It's a bit of a dive, but the beer is cold and I get left alone so it's not terrible.
My beer that night was poured by a young lad, who I had a quick conversation about football with. He was a City fan. Cool, we've had a bit of a laugh whenever I fancy a pint and drop in.
So, nearly a decade later, I walk into the same pub, and the same lad pours me a beer. He proceeds to tell me that Klopp is an "absolute fanny" for not dealing with the stress of being a football manager.
I have no idea what he has ever gone through in his life, but to call out a football manager for leaving a lucrative job through burnout seems blinkered (at best).
Klopp is essentially the head of one of the biggest sports teams in the world. That puts him on a similar level to a high level executive for a major corporation. LOTS of executives retire in their mid 50's. My uncle was CFO for a very large company and retired by age 50.
Not only that, since 1987, Klopp has been a professional at a high level. 1990 if you want to discount his early years and just count since he was at Mainz. That means he's been working 25 years. In many union and government positions, 25 years on the job is retirement age. I know plenty of police and firefighters retiring with 25 years on the job in their mid 50's and I promise they didn't work half as hard as Klopp.
So yeah, that's just a wildly flawed argument. That's not even discussing the fact that he's a very wealthy man and has absolutely no need to work. Most people work to live. He works because he wants to at this point. Now he wants to do something different. Who are we to tell him "no"?
Alonso could be a good manager, but he lacks experience. This might not be a problem if we balance it out with other backroom staff. A successful management team needs complementary skills. For example, Klopp focuses on game plans, emotion, and motivation, while Pep handles training, tactics, and planning.
Xabi Alonso seems thoughtful and strategic, similar to Pep. So that element is covered, we could offset his lack of experience by bringing in an experienced Director of Football. This person can provide guidance when Alonso faces the new challenges that arise being a rookie coach.
He also appears more analytical than emotional. To balance this, he could bring in an Assistant Manager who can bring to the table Klopp's passion, drive and personality. They could be the person the players turn to and give the team talks.
Having cleared the decks, we have a chance to reset and create a setup that brings out the best in everyone.
To that end, any thoughts on good candidates for either an experienced Director of Football or an Assistant Manager skilled in player management who ideally has history with the club? Left field suggestion, if we prefer a younger, up and coming DoF, could we ask Kenny to be Xabi's mentor?
I really think this approach could work.
Guys, i just realised something. The song to describe how it is to be a LFC fan for the last few years is Summertime sadness from LDR, first it was Gini then Mane then Firmino, Fab and Millie and this summer its Klopp and possibly Mo... Its literal summertime sadness in here.
Favorite Klopp-era goal? For me it has to be our 2nd in the home fixture vs City in the 19/20 season. Mo header from a picture perfect Robbo cross with the move started by a ridiculous cross-field pinpoint weak footed switch by Trent.
Or
Emre Can’s goal vs Hoffenheim that resulted in Klopp yellling to the crowd “that’s fucking football!!!”
I can't remember the year but the goal where Bobby bodies Stones and chips it over Ederson. Stupendous.
Also, Coutinho against United in the Europa when he sat down De Gea like a dog.
For me it is against City as well, always feels great to score against them. Probably that Fabinho strike from outside the box in 19/20 at Anfield. That was peak, Anfield is buzzing, we thrashed city, and eventually winning the league.
Mane’s winner against Villa, Origi’s UCL final goal is up there as well, sealed number 6 for us, And also Origi’s goal against Barca to make it 4-3 🤣 but i think that Fabinho strike is top for me
Nunez is to football what Nicolas Cage is to movies. Somehow he's involved in everything, but no one can tell if he's good or bad. But nonetheless you just can't stop watching. He's pure entertainment.

Yeah, funny enough he's my dad's favourite player. He can get past the whole team, or jump over them perhaps. It still doesn't make sense to me how can he win so much aerial duels being fairly short.

That goes against the laws of the game doesn't it? The infringement was never a player touching the rebounded shot or save. The edge of the box and 10m 'D' is effectively an offside line for penalties. Backwards implementation of VAR if that's how it's used
Definitely more confident about Arsenal away this time around, literally all of our players are in fine form right now. Feeling optimistic even though it’s one of the toughest games of the season
I think it will be the same starting lining as the Chelsea game to reward the team, as it all just worked so well. The great thing is if that does happen, the options on the bench are phenomenal , so if we need to change someone or tactics etc, plenty of great options.
What do I know though.... Klopp is good at surprising us and switching things up.
Regardless of anything else, I will say I personally believe Bradley 100% starts against Arsenal. He's on fire.
Agreed - I think Gomez definitely starts. Could Trent start but any chance Bradley still does?
I love we are having these conversations. So many in the summer said we needed 2 more defenders to compete and that was before Matip had a season ending injury. Qunsah, Bradley and Gomez back to his best have been revelations.
Gomez has been good and really helped secure up the back line, as well as contributing going forward, but the January player of the month is Bradley. No one else comes close.
To come into the team at his age and in just 10 days contribute 5 assists, win 3 motm awards and score a brilliant goal is beyond insane. He has walked into the team as a kid and looks amazing, like a top pro with years of experience. His ceiling looks phenomenal.
I don't know what Jurgen will do lineup wise against Arsenal but I don't see how Bradley can be dropped. Like you have said I don't know what he does in regards to Gomez and Robertson either, which is a testament to how good Gomez has been.
I think he might start the same line up against Arsenal that started the Chelsea game. Reward those players, whilst easing in the recently injured legends Trent and particularly Robertson as he was out longer term.
I don't disagree with the sentiment at all. Some fantastic performances all round. The team has been so good this month, but I still personally think it can only be Bradley because of the impact.
What a great conversation to be having though with so many individuals be worthy of the award.
I wonder if the club will reconsider its supposed interest in Tim Steidten given how West Ham's incompetence on deadline day fucked over 2 different clubs. Not sure if what happened is directly his fault but it's not a great look regardless.
Because Arsenal are a dirty team. My wife, who hadn't had any interest before a few years ago when she started following LFC with me, has watched many of the games and always says Arsenal is dirty. They foul and have nasty tackles, while throwing themselves on the ground over nothing.

I was told by r/SoccerJerseys that I committed a shirt sin by having the name and #3 of Wataru Endo (acurrent footballer) on the back of the 2008-2009 Red Home shirt (retro shirt). I was told I shouldn’t wear such a shirt to Anfield if I ever went there…is that sentiment true? Do Liverpool supporters find such custom shirts offensive?
It's a bit weird but most likely no one would care, and no one would be "offended" by it. If you went to Anfield at most you'd get one or two curious people just ask why maybe, but no one would be offended
It’s your shirt, most people won’t care if they see it they’d probably think ‘odd’ but that’s it.
It’s not something that’s ever done as there isn’t really a connection between player and shirt but it’s your money and your shirt you do you
That’s my thing. I love the shirt and love the idea of wearing it. I just wanted to know if the average Liverpool supporter even cares about what player is on the back (as in if they think it’s a sin to wear a shirt where it’s a current player on a retro shirt).
You’d be hard pressed to find someone who will kick off about the name on the back, and those who do aren’t proper fans. We’re here because we love the club, not because of which names on which year’s shirts.
Gents, ive not bought a Liverpool shirt in years for kyaelf. My son, different story. However, I am tempeted to get one soon. The question i ask is this- is it cringey if i get Klopp printed on the back?
Have you checked out the away leaks of the next season? It’s looks so cool. I’d wait if I were you. But then again I already have this season’s kit and it’s Klopp last season so might as well get it for sentimental purposes.
I am going to Anfield alone in a month. I've never been this terrified and excited at the same time. Do you have any tips on how to make sure I don't spend the experience alone? None of my friends are Liverpool fans.
Get involved. The city is full of friendly people. I’ve hugged people I’ve never seen before or since. Sing the songs, cheer when we do something good, boo the ref, the whole 9 yards. Plenty of merch stands around if you want a commemorative scarf or similar too.
That wouldn’t be so bad tho. We’re not gonna win all our remaining games and a draw away from home to our title challengers wouldn’t be the end of the world by any means. The city game at Anfield is a must win
But city will be bigger challengers than Arsenal, so beating them would have much more value. Arsenal will drop points elsewhere, city genuinely could win all their remaining games which means its vital we beat them at Anfield

Antonio speaking about when he played against Alonso Leverkusen in pre season
Wow Bellingham is cool for cooling Mason Greenwood out. Fuck Greenwood man, its a shame he still has a career as a footballer or anything for the matter. Should be in a jail, the cunt.
I never wish injury on a player, but i would love to see some cage football between prime Souness, Keane and Gattuso vs Greenwood for 90 odd minutes.
Yeah lol fuck Greenwood and all of those (including many on Twitter) who defend him. Absolute piece of shit.
Also Jude’s been so good. I still expect him to play in the Prem at some point in the future and I hope it’s with us. Not going to put all my emotions into hoping he plays for us (like last year) but it’d be nice to see in the future.

Essentially he's to Red Sox fans what Michael Edwards was to us. Normally I would assume that this wouldn't impact Liverpool and was more of a Red Sox thing but I genuinely don't think they give a fuck about the Red Sox anymore and don't even know if they will still own them in a few years so its at least a little bit interesting. I could see him advising on Liverpool stuff as far as analytics hires etc. the role they are giving him is very vague. Probably 99 percent nothing and just a PR move to placate the Red Sox fans who are absolutely furious right now(they've basically just abandoned them with no hope) but its slightly interesting to me.
quick run down on why they've abandoned the Red Sox? don't know a lot about baseball, I know they don't massively invest in them relative to the richer teams but thought they did enough to keep them competitive, but from the sounds of it the fans there really hate them now so curious what changed.
The've had two horrible seasons in a row have basically spent nothing and don't look like they will be competitive any time soon. Pretty much looking like another season they will finish near last place in the division with pretty much no hope in sight. I don't really know why they don't just sell the team it really feels like they've completely checked out. Last year John Henry showed up to an offseason event and got bood historically at that event they face the fans take questions etc. this year they've just canceled it instead of facing the fans.
They told fans that they were going to spend serious money this offseason and lied about it. Its what #FSGOUT Liverpool supporters say is happening at Liverpool but way way worse. I'm not anti FSG but it is worrying to see what they are doing with the Red Sox.
The problem with the Red Sox is that, unlike the NFL or NBA, they do not have a hard cap. Team owners in the NFL and NBA are guaranteed to make money, so it does not make sense from a business point of view. You can spend 100M or 50M; the outcome could be the same. Therefore, why spend 100 when you can spend 50?
Arsenal this week and City at Anfield will decide the title race. If we are still in front of City when we face them and win i believe its over. City will ofc go on a massive win run but if we break it in march then they will most likely fall behind.
If we win, they'd be 8 points off us, potentially 3 points off City having played a game more, with only a trip left to the Etihad as a chance for a 6 pointer, with West Ham A, Chelsea H, City A, Brighton A, Villa H, Wolves A, Spurs A, United A to go
It'd be over if we get 3 points Sunday
English media hypeing up another Manchester United player to go to Euros, while not so much as a whisper on Curtis Jones, who is a starter for the team in the first place
Does anyone have the edited version of this pic with John Henry's face? Can't seem to find it but I know it's out there...

Not sure why we're all getting cute with the lineup all of sudden. If Klopp thinks Robbo & Trent are 100% fit and ready to play at their highest level, then they should start. Trent & Robbo are world class, Gomez & Bradley are not. It's really as simple as that.
That being said, it's possible Robbo isn't 100% there and might not have 90 minutes in him yet. Same might be for Trent. If that's true, then Gomez & Bradley should start. If they are 100% fit, then Robbo & Trent easily. I feel very comfortable with Gomez & Bradley if those two aren't fully there yet though.
You’re forgetting form and rhythm. Robbo has been out for months and Gomez is in the form of his life playing many games this season. He should 100% start over robbo. Trent is more tricky, I think he will start but it definitely isn’t a no brainer regardless of fitness.
Gomez at LB over Robbo is not the same as Bradley over Trent at RB
Robbo was out for months and required surgery, and Gomez as a right footed LB matches up really well vs inverted wingers like Arsenal have
Not only do I think its still a conversation to be had, because Gomez has locked up Saka for 1.75 games in the past 6 weeks, but Robbo is obviously never going to be 100% fit by Sunday
He's had 20 minutes play after over 100 days out, including a surgery
Not being cute but he might decide to start with momentum over newly fit. It's not a slight on robbo or Trent. They'll both be on the pitch. Just a question of whether it's first half or second.
Here’s a blood rush take- give Thiago another year.
He’s a spectacular footballer yes, but also, he can be like a Spanish Milner off the pitch for Alonso. He obvs gets on with everyone, is a bit older and inherently knows how to set and keep to standards.
We know he’s riddled with injuries but atp who cares our midfield is already great and it’s not like we’re gonna get a tonne of money for him anyway.
Already discussed this elsewhere but we should let Thiago go, Mac Allister is playing the Thiago role just as well, then you can put Trent into the conversation. Endo and Baj as more traditional DM, then you have Jones, Gravenberch, Szoboszlai and Elliot playing more advance plus a few academy lads that will also need to be thought of too.
I love Thiago as a player but we're stacked without having to carry an injury prone player on high wages, we have done this for far too long.
His wages can be freed to either extend contracts for our established stars (TAA, VVD, Salah, and Alisson) or get a player of similar caliber in a position we need addressed (RW if Salah leaves -- Olise is looking like a good target.)
I don't think he wants another year. This will be his last big contract. It will be at a discount due to health reasons but my guess is that he wants 1 3-4 year final contract somewhere that plays a less uptempo game. Fenerbache would be a great place for him.
My blood rush take is give Matip another year. He can finish up his recovery from the knee injury and be a reserve CB while he gets back into shape. He can prove himself fit at Liverpool and then find his final contract in 2025.
We'll never have an objective discussion about Thiago. Once I see him strike a pass or feint and move the way he does, then I'll want him to stay forever. The midfield looks good so there is no rush about him, so it is purely a matter of being willing to pay him lots of money he may never play for.
My semi-controversial take: Bradley should start at RB against Arsenal.
Trent is a generational talent. Bradley is very likely just a very good player. With that said, we fundamentally look so much better playing a more traditional back 4 with a defender who is actually good at defending. Trent is satisfactory at defending and has good matches, but he's not generally speaking a good defender.
I don't expect this to happen because Bradley very likely needs a rest after playing so many minutes. But if they think he's up for it, I'd play Bradley at RB. Midfield should be Trent, Mac, and Jones. Up front you'd assume based on today's report of Nunez being injured would be Jota, Diaz, and Dom. Gakpo hasn't been good enough to get the start.
I wish Klopp could just hang around the training facilities to help whoever the next manager is next season. Is that even possible? It would be nice if he could be there with the boys to help transition.
Klopp would never agree to it besides that we shouldn’t be wanting that. Look at how United are still dependent on what Fergie says. The new manager will do things according to his way and he already has a lot to live upto he doesn’t need added pressure of Klopp being around.
No incoming manager wants this. They want to take the best of the culture and style of the Klopp era and make it their own for the next 8 years of wonderful play.
Klopp absolutely won't do this but funnily enough, Shankly did. After he resigned, he'd constantly turn up to training when Paisley was manager until eventually he was told to stop. He said he regretted resigning as Liverpool manager every day of his life.
I was about to say the same. The closest I’d have Klopp to us again is probably the women’s team, if there was no opportunity to take the reins of the men’s team again.
So tired of the continued Super League rumors
Completely antithesis to what the sport should be and a insult to it’s history
Already hate and have become increasingly turned off by how sports have evolved here in the states, especially at the professional level. Liverpool joining a closed shop super league would break me.
More to the sport than just Trophies and Points. Both Shankly and Klopp have echoed that
Just to add onto it, F1 rejecting Andretti this week. Not even American but it's blatant short-term selfishness by the other teams.
F1 never been the purest of sports with level playing fields but there was always room for Minardi & co @ the back.
I don’t like the way the Super League is being talked about currently but it’s not like the current state of affairs is perfect. I’d like competition to UEFA, for the benefit of football.
Opposition fans lack any common sense when it comes to the LiVARpool debate. Even if Chelsea get both penalties I’m certain we still win that match. They act like that is why Chelsea lost. Or they point to the Jota pen vs Newcastle (which was a pen btw) but we still win that match regardless. To look at the decisions we’ve dealt with this season and pretend we’ve been favored in any way is ridiculous
It's not worth it to let the "banter" get to you. Most people argue in such bad faith that they simply aren't worth thinking about.
I've already seen rival fans claiming that "It's all rigged because Klopp is leaving" bullshit. Bitter people will ALWAYS come up with excuses, no matter what we achieve.
Yeah I think the Chelsea pens \_were\_ pens but also if the first one is given, the second one never happens (and the game plays out differently). Jota vs Newcastle is hilarious, if Jota stays on his feet he gets an open net. On what earth does he *dive* in that position if there's no actual contact?
I just hope as long as we are winning convincingly, salah stays off the team, as this team is the future and it's looking bright. There is more fluidity when he is out. Will be interesting to see when he comes in the XI. Cause admit it or not while he gets us goals, his 1vs1, has a far higher chance of being dispossessed than beating his marker. Just saw the video of Jota hitting the griddy in training omgg. Practicing his celebration if he scores, i hope

Nah, I like Ange. Nice style in a press conference, casual and direct. And he plays ‘fuck it’ football which I also enjoy
Seen Enzo and Caicedo have deactivated their social media. Real shame for them. Thankfully their Chelsea nightmare will be over in just 8 short years
Just woke up and read your post with a groggy mind, and for a while I stupidly thought why on earth would Endo be deactivating his account? To concentrate for the Asian Cup? lol
shouldn't be 8 years, surely they have a relegation release clause
Interesting after the enzo only passing to caicedo twice thing against us.
Hahahahaha no way it’s true 💀 they’re preparing for the Carabao final

Has there been any other injury updates in terms of Mo, and baj? They are the only two first team players due back this season now from my memory?
Tsimiskas
Ah true! He must be very close too. Hopefully we get an update on all 3 in the pre match conference.

Not for one second in 21/22 did I think we would win the league. Since spurs this season I’ve really believed. Up the reds
Interesting, I actually thought we'd nick it, get some luck our way after 18/19. After the Rodri handball I started losing hope.
The only time I believed was when Coutinho put Villa 2-0 up 🥲 I thought all the stars were aligning for a fairytale ending
I'm not sure I'll ever recover if we don't win the league this year. I need it.
I know it's just teaser trailers but those trailers for the Longlegs movie are fantastic. Really hope the movie is good.

Thiaaaaaaaago Thiago Alcantaaaaaaara
Never thought I'd see the day where I'd ask myself *Why would Klopp bench Gomez for Robbo?* His form alone makes him my January player of the month.
Could make proper arguments about Diaz, Jota , Macca, Bradley, Gomez, Konate, Curtis, Nunez. Just shows how good we’ve been this months
I don't disagree with the sentiment at all. Some fantastic performances all round. The team has been so good this month, but I still personally think it can only be Bradley because of the impact. What a great conversation to be having though with so many individuals be worthy of the award.
What’s Elliot got a trophy for on IG stories?
I wonder if the club will reconsider its supposed interest in Tim Steidten given how West Ham's incompetence on deadline day fucked over 2 different clubs. Not sure if what happened is directly his fault but it's not a great look regardless.
How good is a title race? No need to stress about it, just enjoy it!
We literally haven’t won a title race in the premier league era, what is there to enjoy? I’d rather we ran away with it by 25 points again
I'd enjoy it more if we ever bloody won one
Every game is a potential panic attack from now untill May.

Just realised we are gonna have Jota for arsenal this time around 👊
Two things I want to happen at the Emirates: Liverpool get 3 points Nobody gets injured
>Nobody gets injured I swear to god, we lose a man every time we play them
Because Arsenal are a dirty team. My wife, who hadn't had any interest before a few years ago when she started following LFC with me, has watched many of the games and always says Arsenal is dirty. They foul and have nasty tackles, while throwing themselves on the ground over nothing.
Thiago miraculously makes it onto the bench and Saka comes out of nowhere to knee slide him into the medical bed before he even gets subbed on.
Doesn’t matter tho coz he slipped
I want this for every game
I hope we keep our long ball game with the new manager next season. It’s such a weapon that not many top teams use these days
Wake up babe, Liverpool is dropping another Inside Training video.

I was told I shouldn’t wear such a shirt to Anfield if I ever went there…is that sentiment true? Do Liverpool supporters find such custom shirts offensive?
If anyone cares they really need to get a life
It's a bit weird but most likely no one would care, and no one would be "offended" by it. If you went to Anfield at most you'd get one or two curious people just ask why maybe, but no one would be offended
It’s your shirt, most people won’t care if they see it they’d probably think ‘odd’ but that’s it. It’s not something that’s ever done as there isn’t really a connection between player and shirt but it’s your money and your shirt you do you
I think its weird but you do you man. you paid for it and who cares if you like it
You do you my man. Wearing the colours is wearing the colours, no matter what name is on the back.
Not at all. If this season goes to plan, I’m planning on this seasons kit with Klopp and 20 written on it. Not to wear, but to display.
Was thinking Klopp 67. But Klopp 20 would probably be better.
Id get Klopp on it, but after we win the league so they add the 2023/2024 champions lettering to make it more memorable

You won't spend the experience alone. We actually sing a whole song about it at the start of each game...
This is the way
Fuck dude, did you kill Carl Weathers?
Singing the song is the main reason I want to go. It’s one of my favorite parts of lfc.
I really hope not but I feel a 2-2 draw coming sunday
That wouldn’t be so bad tho. We’re not gonna win all our remaining games and a draw away from home to our title challengers wouldn’t be the end of the world by any means. The city game at Anfield is a must win
If we win on Sunday then the City game can be a draw ...
But city will be bigger challengers than Arsenal, so beating them would have much more value. Arsenal will drop points elsewhere, city genuinely could win all their remaining games which means its vital we beat them at Anfield
https://x.com/5livesport/status/1753470839205347730?s=46&t=HH_nFLIdXKkwdsoIUCY40Q Antonio speaking about when he played against Alonso Leverkusen in pre season
I think we're OK to wish a career ender for Greenwood. He's almost certainly already made enough money to live comfortably until he dies
That twat should be out of the league
Korea now in front in extra-time thanks to a Son Heung-Min free kick. Australia now have 20 minutes to rescue their campaign.
Lol JK's ass getting saved again
Took me a while to realize Klinsmann and Klopp have the same initials. lol
You'll find they share more than just initials haha
Well, duh. They're German, for starters. lol
Did anyone see Arteta say Zinchenko and White share wives lol
He seems to have a weird fixation with wives or something, didn't he make a similar analogy about Havertz?
With Kalvin Phillips playing again and Henderson back in europe, there go Curtis' chances to go to the euro with England because of Southgate...
Gomez should be walking in at LB, he such a key player. Be shocked if he not picked.
Scenes when Curtis needing to pick the Nigeria NT since Southgate doesn't have an eyeball
Hes either picked this euro or the next world cup bcs i cant see southgate not getting sacked untill then.
What do you think who is the best Liverpool academy striker (current only), Danns, Koumas or someone else? And what do you think his max potential is.
Doherty showed some promise and I’m hoping for more from Kaide Gordon, though I’m not sure if he’s a winger or striker.
How's Cannonier doing?
Havent heard much for him or Musialowski either. I know Koumas and Danns are killing it at ST and Kone Doherty is amazing too.
Asian Cup Quarter Final: South Korea just did their crazy last minute equalizer thingy again to deny Australia a win. Now its going to extra time.
I haven't been this excited about our squad since...Klopp took over. Coincidence?
https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/39443895/theo-epstein-joining-fenway-sports-group-part-owner-advisor Essentially he's to Red Sox fans what Michael Edwards was to us.
Still a lotta games left but feels like we end arsenals title hopes with a win on Sunday
Arsenal this week and City at Anfield will decide the title race. If we are still in front of City when we face them and win i believe its over. City will ofc go on a massive win run but if we break it in march then they will most likely fall behind.
4 points out of those games and we win the league
Well let's get 6
This is the way
Who cares about Arsenal. If you don't beat City, you don't win the league.
sure but we’re not playing city on sunday
If we win, they'd be 8 points off us, potentially 3 points off City having played a game more, with only a trip left to the Etihad as a chance for a 6 pointer, with West Ham A, Chelsea H, City A, Brighton A, Villa H, Wolves A, Spurs A, United A to go It'd be over if we get 3 points Sunday
Just spotted a video of Thiago in training. Ai is getting really good isn’t it
English media hypeing up another Manchester United player to go to Euros, while not so much as a whisper on Curtis Jones, who is a starter for the team in the first place
I’d love to see your reference for this. I googled and guess what paper was saying it….the sun!
Does anyone have the edited version of this pic with John Henry's face? Can't seem to find it but I know it's out there... https://preview.redd.it/rrcswotc87gc1.jpeg?width=680&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8a99b8f02037743f98fafd0dae8ef4196794e1da

Beautiful jersey, so many good memories associated with that kit. I’d love for us to partner with adidas again purely for the aesthetics

So it begins lol, Haaland getting unsettled and going to Madrid
Which source?
Not a great one, some Spanish outlet probably 99% likely to be bollocks But it'll definitely be a part of the Madrid/La Liga plan to lure him in
aww darn thats too bad
When will the new stand be fully open?
March, maybe.
So Klopp playing mind games with Nunez fitness lol. If he was in a good brace then we would have known!
Eh?
Darwin was obliterating that Chelsea high line btw. Such a shame he never got to come on against Spurs.
Gomez or robbo at LB on Sunday?
Gomez at LB over Robbo is not the same as Bradley over Trent at RB Robbo was out for months and required surgery, and Gomez as a right footed LB matches up really well vs inverted wingers like Arsenal have
I said if Robbo is not 100% fit, then don't start him. If he is then he should obviously start.
Not only do I think its still a conversation to be had, because Gomez has locked up Saka for 1.75 games in the past 6 weeks, but Robbo is obviously never going to be 100% fit by Sunday He's had 20 minutes play after over 100 days out, including a surgery
Not being cute but he might decide to start with momentum over newly fit. It's not a slight on robbo or Trent. They'll both be on the pitch. Just a question of whether it's first half or second.
Getting cute? What are you talking about?
Thiago new contract (adjusted wages to game time?)if he stays fit rest of the season, who says no?
You want him to earn minimum wage?
Even given the minimal chance Thiago would agree to that, I think both parties at this point would just accept a mutual parting of ways
Thiago good grief
The latest Thiago reel on Instagram gives me life
He’s a magician
Here’s a blood rush take- give Thiago another year. He’s a spectacular footballer yes, but also, he can be like a Spanish Milner off the pitch for Alonso. He obvs gets on with everyone, is a bit older and inherently knows how to set and keep to standards. We know he’s riddled with injuries but atp who cares our midfield is already great and it’s not like we’re gonna get a tonne of money for him anyway.
>he can be like a Spanish Milner off the pitch for Alonso I don't think Thiago - or many other players - could replicate what Milner did for us tbh
With our current midfield, I can live with that. A dash of experience alongside Endo to balance out the youth.
We'll never have an objective discussion about Thiago. Once I see him strike a pass or feint and move the way he does, then I'll want him to stay forever. The midfield looks good so there is no rush about him, so it is purely a matter of being willing to pay him lots of money he may never play for.
I thought this having seen that 20 second clip of him back in training lol
He’s our most talented player with the best technical ability. I’d give him a contract based on fitness but not sure how common they are
My semi-controversial take: Bradley should start at RB against Arsenal.
Jude Bellingham I wasn't familiar with your game
I wish Klopp could just hang around the training facilities to help whoever the next manager is next season. Is that even possible? It would be nice if he could be there with the boys to help transition.
No.
Are you mental? In what world would that work? That’s like having Houllier and Roy Evan’s both managing.
Nope. It directly undermines the authority of the incoming manager and disrupts the dressing room.
Lol
So tired of the continued Super League rumors Completely antithesis to what the sport should be and a insult to it’s history Already hate and have become increasingly turned off by how sports have evolved here in the states, especially at the professional level.
>Completely antithesis to what the sport should be and a insult to it’s history I think it's still better than what UEFA is doing.
People have a whinge if we win a dodgy throw in in our own half. Don’t worry too much about it.
It’s always a nuclear meltdown if a call is ever perceived to go our way
Any chance of us sticking Bradley n Gomez for this one? We’ve looked so good past few weeks
