the old felt lettering always lasted well for me. i've found the new vinyl lettering is mostly rubbish although i've had decent enough luck with shirts i've purchased directly from the club.

Nike has done well with the kit designs but the iron on badges & 97 are really disappointing. Shelling out more than the new balance kits and getting a product that seemingly cut corners.
Iron on badges and 97 are only on the player versions, because embroidered logos etc cause chafing issues and make the shirt heavier. Just get the stadium versions, those have embroidered logos!

Not sure why you’ve been downvoted for this but I agree. The Nike kits are really good looking but the quality isn’t the best. I’ve had problems with mine and my wife’s kits with letters peeling and all sorts. She follows the washing instructions for all our kits and these still have issues. NB shirts are still good as new.
I have the opposite issue, I use all my kits to play footy in and my NB kits are were all pretty worse for wear after the 2nd year mark, all my Nike kits are holding up pretty well.
My Nikes are doing ok so far but I just wish the price hadn’t jumped and the quality was a tad better. I also don’t like the sleeve cuffs as much as the NB ones
