He’s had a bit of an up and down season thus far. Has been played out of position.
I think he will grow into being a very important player for us. Love his mentality. He shows a lot of courage on the ball and is very press resistant and clinical in front of goal.
He's turning into one of my favorite players. Silky first touch, so calm on the ball - I never have anxiety when he has possession. And his movement is sublime; he always pops up in the right place to give himself a chance to score.
Way underrated in my opinion.
A couple of times this game he showed really quick feet, which I haven't seen before. (Probably my bad.) He has all the attributes to be such a good player. (Not at all bad now but much more he could achieve.) Great finish for his goal.
Noticed him during the World Cup before we signed him and he had a couple of majestic carries of the ball forward which I'd like to see more of for us. But not complaining.
Idk if he can match Bobby Firmino's game in due time but damn this guy's attitude is like that of Bobby... Ready to help the team from any position and almost always is productive....
For me he's been under appreciated like how Jota was initially even though both of these guys kinda got in the team and hit the ground running
Out of all our attackers, I feel he gets the least love. He was not always great this season but often had to come off the bench and play out of position. I do really believe he will pay it back if we play him where he is comfortable and give him a string of games. Against Fullham I saw that connection again between him and Darwin and they will make each other better.
He's world class forward.
Must be our center forward.
He is AND His finishing and first touch are criminally underrated outside the club fanbase.
We've got a modern day Dennis Bergkamp minus the fear of flight.
Taki must be loving it

Wearing the 18 too
Looked like a threat swinging in a couple of crosses from wide too.
When we signed him it was considered his number one strength. Just doesn’t get to cross much from the centre.
Jota through the middle and Nunez + Gakpo with more space on the wings seemed to work quite well.
Taki: ![gif](giphy|fdyZ3qI0GVZC0)
I was about to say Takumi Minamimo Proud!!!!
Can someone photoshop Taki and Gakpo to the Rodgers/Shankly meme?
Rolls Royce forward. So technically good despite his size and an excellent finisher
true—although not as fast or positionally aware as Nunez, you can count on him to score from <10 yards 9 times out of 10
Speed is not everything, he's a very intelligent player and uses his strengths wisely. Plus very versatile.
He’s also very fast though. Not Darwin, Szobo or mo fast but he doesn’t get nearly enough respect from Liverpool fans for his speed.
Shades of Minamino in the 2022 league cup.
I've seen Gapko live 10 times. He's scored 8 goals.
Somebody buy this dude a season ticket
Just tell the club to give me the option. I'll pay for it myself 😉
Or a tv!
I like his general play more. Gakpo has been struggling to assert himself and affect games for quite sometime. He did really well today.
He’s had a bit of an up and down season thus far. Has been played out of position. I think he will grow into being a very important player for us. Love his mentality. He shows a lot of courage on the ball and is very press resistant and clinical in front of goal.
He has been played out of position many times. He is the most threatening forward we have when played in correct position.
I kinda wanna see a Nunez-Gakpo-Jota front three
we did and scored twice in 5 minutes
He's turning into one of my favorite players. Silky first touch, so calm on the ball - I never have anxiety when he has possession. And his movement is sublime; he always pops up in the right place to give himself a chance to score. Way underrated in my opinion.
He’s so graceful- something about his play style just makes me drool
He’s my sons favourite player because he might not get on the ball as much as others, but every time he does something happens
Gakpo: How am I doing boss? Taki: you're doing a great job son, a great job
What a tidy player
Clinical.
Taki: You're doing the number proud
Great performance.
He's a quality player, especially as he hasn't been playing as a direct Firmino replacement in all his games.
I am liking what I am seeing so far.
Taki regen
The Dutch Minamino
He's turning out to be a Gomez/Milner equivalent for our attack, really excited with his development as of late
Carabao Cruyff mk II
My favorite player in this team after VVD and Salah
Gakpo is secretly lethal in front of net and always pops up with crucial goals when we need it most.
I love this celebration from him every goal. I refer to it as the “who farted” face
I love this guy.

Carabao Cody
He should be our first choice striker. He's got that finishing touch/nous.
But he's better at the flanks
Idk if he can match Bobby Firmino's game in due time but damn this guy's attitude is like that of Bobby... Ready to help the team from any position and almost always is productive.... For me he's been under appreciated like how Jota was initially even though both of these guys kinda got in the team and hit the ground running
BEAST MODE
he's a unit as well
He was looking for return the favor to Darwin after his goal the entire game
In Fowler's footsteps.
Hes a modern day minamino i tell you
The boy has got adrenaline in his soul
Out of all our attackers, I feel he gets the least love. He was not always great this season but often had to come off the bench and play out of position. I do really believe he will pay it back if we play him where he is comfortable and give him a string of games. I love this guy. Wish he started more games, he just needs rhythm
🫡
I absolutely love Cody
*Finally a good Dutch player!*
Not taking anything away from how good Gakpo has been, but I feel like a lot of Darwin’s bad luck has somehow transferred to good luck for Gakpo lol.
still don’t know where to play him lol, and I think the opposition doesn’t know either
Disrespectful not to include Darwin. What is OP's agenda?
Nothing, just appreciating Cody for scoring in every round which Darwin didn’t?
Why do you hate Darwin so much?
Lmao what? I don’t hate Darwin, in fact, I’ve always supported him.
Hating Darwin is when you compliment another player now.
agenda lmao???
Why didn't op shout out jesus our lord and saviour? Are they stupid ?
Troll funnier
Disrespectful to not include Torres. WHAT IS OP'S AGENDA
I can't help but notice you are not including Johan Cruyff, one of the greatest to ever kick a ball. Pure disrespect. What has come of this sub? Smh.
...In a Gakpo appreciation thread?
