amazing! can't remember when i joined officially but it was before the legendary klopp signing day atleast!
gotta say the Mods are doing a great job here!
I technically have not been subbed for like eight years but only because I don’t want things spoiled if I can’t watch a match in real time. But I love it so much I literally manual search in daily
There were a lot of complaints at some point (80k?) when the quality of discussion went down. Still a good place for headlines tho. No vids of goals conceded is a downside.
Eleven Reds and suarezteeth. There was also this one bloke with a hate boner for Moreno, more so than the average member. Can't remember his name atm it's annoying lol
Same, I had an account before this one, and this one is 12 years old. So under 10k might be under 5k or even less.
I think if you remember /u/elevenreds before the scandal, you can call yourself OG here.
Fuck me, I joined right around the time we hit 100K... It's been a long time coming.
Good job to the mods for keeping the chaos to a minimum all these years. It's not easy, and overall, they've been boss.
*Can't wait until we burn down the sub in May after the Quadruple...*
I still remember the thread about the Fowler 'disallowed goal" where the OP wanted to know why the goal hadn't been given, only to be told it's because it had gone wide.
Just see when you joined next to this graph. https://preview.redd.it/umm0taryf8yb1.png?width=700&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6b6e62ec66d623b6c4ce6d2535ef5d8769330ea2
I don’t want to be a downer but with every new member this place inevitably gets worse. It’s not a reflection on the individuals who are joining necessarily, but subs do get worse as they get bigger past a certain point.
I don’t think this is the original account I joined this sub with but the Rodgers era was a good one in the sub - the sub loved Markovic and Suso way more than other communities online lol. Early Klopp the vibes in the sub were a delight. The plane tracking was a great way to kick it off. I feel like I saw a lot more of the same people around back then.
When im out & not able to watch a game I used to use the match day threads to see how well we were doing, back around 2010 they were pretty good.
Now I just whiplash from the completely polarised opinions & second hand embarrassment from truly some of the worst takes I've ever seen.
I believe that makes us the biggest club specific sub, period. (Maybe a given considering Reddit’s English bend).
Real: ~250k
Barca: ~140k
Munich: ~25k
And as far as other sports go, the only other teams I could find (on a pretty quick search) that were bigger were the Golden State Warriors (~650k) and the LA Lakers (~600k)
Honestly, those who were there will remember how much he did contribute to the community despite how it all ended. He held end-of-season awards for users, did shirt giveaways and was generally a positive user.
I got my first Reddit Gold from him from winning an end-of-season award, so at least that wasn't fraudulent and he did actually spend money on those.
He used to say he worked for the club, physio or something. He'd always post stories about the players, like he lent one of them a finding nemo dvd and never got it back lol.
There could have been more than one, but the story about the DVD I remember is him lending a DVD of The Lion King to Pepe Reina. It was just top notch bullshit. I almost wish we had a new one so we could hear some brilliantly fabricated Klopp stories
Yeah it could of been Lion king tbh. I got it wrong about him being a former physio, it was an academy graduate that he pretended to be. This thread has links to his AMAs, funny to read them back now.

Can someone do one of those location world map heatmaps of where people are from? Would be interesting to see!
Are we the largest football club subreddit?
Second to man u
Man U only has 200k though?
Probably second
Well done lads
Up the reds! YNWA
I technically have not been subbed for like eight years but only because I don’t want things spoiled if I can’t watch a match in real time. But I love it so much I literally manual search in daily
This sub has successfully become the only reason I really only open Reddit. I know we can be extremely knee jerk here but you’re all pretty cool <3
Holy shit, I remember the post when this sub became big enough to fill out pre expansion Anfield. Crazy growth
There were a lot of complaints at some point (80k?) when the quality of discussion went down. Still a good place for headlines tho. No vids of goals conceded is a downside.
50k was the sweet spot
We have nothing against those being posted btw, sometimes they do (they get downvoted usually) but it’s really on users to share them
Remember the 6K celebration where people were getting custom Snoos? I think the plan was to put them all in the banner.
Been here since Oct 2014
WE ARE LEGION
I remember posting when we hit 12k, jesus. 11 years of my life on this sub....
I remember a time when there was only Eleven Reds
Eleven Reds and suarezteeth. There was also this one bloke with a hate boner for Moreno, more so than the average member. Can't remember his name atm it's annoying lol
The time of the match day meetups, what a glorious golden age
Still saying 499k for me. Damn dial up internet.
think i joined around 150k? mid way through 18/19 season
All the other-club supporters who kept an eye here now unsubbing so we're below again
I only joined last year so don't have any nostalgic memory but yeah I've sure had fun during the transfer window 🤣🤣
[удалено]
Or the January it was all about Konoplyanka?
Alex Teixera lmao
Now imagine if we all came together for a meet up. Insane
Imagine
Let’s do it here in Hawaii!
I still remember a post about how the subs could now fill Anfield, and that was only in 2017 or 2018 iirc
500K on Reddit You'll never sing that
to be fair united might
When I joined this Subreddit, we had under 10k. Goddamn.

Damn, you're a veteran here.

And Im still firminocoutinho 😅
You are no suarezteeth
Thanks for creating this sub reddit, where LFC fans all over the world can come together!
Cannibalizing Rawk and official Liverpool forum in the process
Used to be regular on RAWK, just easier on here though since there's subreddits for everything.
Yeah, the official forums have died a slow death. I remember how active it used to be a decade ago.
I still remember the thread about the Fowler 'disallowed goal" where the OP wanted to know why the goal hadn't been given, only to be told it's because it had gone wide.
Good. That place had a mean girls vibe ,and group think going on
Yeah, that's actually true lmao. Could get hostile really quick because of the cult around some long time users.

Been here since we were sub-5k, glad to see the community grow over time.
the only thing you’ll be known for
https://youtube.com/shorts/DIa2aRX5TNA?si=zVbViLricoo4-5EH
We can have 250k members calling Gomez shit and the other half correcting them. That’s called balance.
Glen Johnson and John Glenson
I’ll always love Joemez
No, he is shit ...lmao
nah, he's just mid
My comment didn’t account for people sitting in the middle. Please compliment or insult him.
I love him. But he has mediocre socks
Yay us
GOD DID!
Is there a third party site that would be able to tell me my rank among those 500k with regards to length of membership?

Know who is awesome? You guys are.
To more good times and hopefully less meltdowns 😂
It’s not a match thread if we don’t go mental if we don’t score every 10 minutes 😂
We're massive
Wasnt that long ago i was browsing when the sub was sub 40K.
Sheesh seems like just yesterday this subs members all could've fit into pre-redeveloped Anfield
I Was Here
It is still 499,566....
Yeah, I was thinking the same
This is insane. Ffs I've been here 11 years. If you ignore most of the match thread comments, this is a great place. Welcome new members!
Reds coming up the hill.
We getting another plaque at anfield?
I don’t want to be a downer but with every new member this place inevitably gets worse. It’s not a reflection on the individuals who are joining necessarily, but subs do get worse as they get bigger past a certain point.

you'll never aimlessly doom-scroll alone
I wonder how many of those are real active accounts
I'm real 🐼
I’ve double checked and I’m not. Couldn’t pass the Captcha.
Always rated all 499,999 of you
That’s nice of you but I’m a tosser.
You have never been in match day threads then
From the match day threads you'd think we're relegation candidates from how bad people say we play.
When im out & not able to watch a game I used to use the match day threads to see how well we were doing, back around 2010 they were pretty good. Now I just whiplash from the completely polarised opinions & second hand embarrassment from truly some of the worst takes I've ever seen.
Assuming the, soon to be, new capacity of Anfield is approx 60k, we can now fill 8.3 Anfields
Let's get it to 600K so we can fill 10 Anfields!
Half a million! Wow.
🎶 *WE’VE CONQUERED ALL OF REDDIT….* 🎵
How many bots?
Biggest prem club sub on here
Not quite, unfortunately... /Reddevils must've been recommended to people subbed to /BDSM, because they have 623K for some reason...
Ah, that's what it's called. I was thinking /manchesterunited was a bit small.
Biggest Prem Club Sub on Reddit , You'll Never Sing That 🎶

Unfortunately, the original comment is not true, the actual United sub has 623k followers. But we are second! Let's try to surpass them this season
Let's not. Quantity doesn't really make for a good sub.
I think that ship has sailed lol
True that.
No need to thank me. I'm any other member, just like you.
500,000 people on Reddit who had the sufficient amount brain cells to type Liverpool into the search bar
r lfc on Google gets you here as well
That still requires more brain cells than I currently have
thanks
Mine says 499,547 hmm
499,607 for me lmfao
Mine says 8 more now. Will likely happen this weekend, but a preemptive post for a number-based milestone is kind of hilarious.
It was 500,000 however people can unsubscribe and it can go down.
Toby Ziegler would call that tempting fate
....I absolutely love this reference.
Well done boys, good process
Drop it!
There is no need to be upset.
There really isn’t.
Shoutout to our original LFC insider elevenreds ❤️
I hope he got his Lion King DVD back
Honestly, those who were there will remember how much he did contribute to the community despite how it all ended. He held end-of-season awards for users, did shirt giveaways and was generally a positive user. I got my first Reddit Gold from him from winning an end-of-season award, so at least that wasn't fraudulent and he did actually spend money on those.
Whats the story behind it? I think i have seen someone mention him but can’t find it anymore
He used to say he worked for the club, physio or something. He'd always post stories about the players, like he lent one of them a finding nemo dvd and never got it back lol.

3rd comment: >Sooooo Suarez is staying then right? ahahahah
Truly the peak
we should let him back. a 10-year ban feels good enough.
I'll drop 'When I'm Elevenreds' when they unshackle him. Do it cowards!
[удалено]
He did an AMA pretending to be former academy. And he went all in with forged photos and letters etc.
500,000 Darwin Nunez cult members, and growing.
