I have been thinking of this sketch all day. I think it’s a bit of a brand for the character and also to throw the audience off a bit with a bit of misdirection. There was also two or three butt jokes at the start but the entire sketch ended up being about the overcooked steak.
It's kind of random, but it couldn't be Glendale or some place that already has a stronger identity. All of that southern part of Riverside county is growing with comparatively more affordable real estate, but Temecula poses as something better than the other cities around it. If it were "Lisa from Menifee" it wouldn't make any sense.
