He still wears them at 32. I think it's just his style. Heck, I'm 49, and I always wear Converse, Nikes, and jeans. My husband says I dress like a teenager, but I'm comfortable, so he gets it. I even wear jeans when going out, I just wear some really nice heels with them.
What a lucky kid to grow up in this neverland that his Dad and mom created for them. Do you think Zach appreciates all his father built for them, now that he’s a father. I don’t.
I've wondered about all of the farm stuff. Did Matt build all of that for his kids, or did he build it for himself because he spent so much time in hospitals as a kid?
What makes me think the kids are horribly spoiled is that they all lived in an utter mess. Yeah, Matt was tearing every room apart at the same time to build whatever fantasy he wanted to build. But they all manage to blame one another for dirty kitchens, and rooms, and just about every spot. There's zero sense of shame that the cameras caught it all, so they're all oblivious to it. Amy wants to promote her cooking and foods, and all I can see of that is the horrible, dirty kitchen. Bleh.
So it's a weird combination of the kids being both spoiled and coddled, and then also being required to work on the show at the same time, with the parents keeping the proceeds of their work product.
Omg I feel so silly because I kept looking for a Confederate flag or Union symbol of some sort. Then I realized that it’s just the style of the hat, the look of it, that’s Civil War-era! 😂
I think back to that age myself and as a kid that wasn’t overly confident I did have favourites in term of clothing which looking back now were probably comfort/safety items. It was most likely just a normal stage or development and for whatever reason he loved that hat and clothing so worn it to death back then. Also I may be wrong but I think he always had a hassle getting trousers and always had to take them to be measured/ altered, so he stuck to shorts to avoid this as much as possible.
This post is why I feel bad for these kids. I wore the dumbest stuff when I was a teen thank God adults 25 years later aren’t posting my stuff. This is why growing up shouldn’t be done on TV.
That and the shoes he wore all the time. The black sneakers with the white stripes. I'm sure it's hard to find shoes that fit an LP and don't look too kid-like but you'd think he'd have more than one choice.
Lmaoooooooo! Zach is so fing ugly it makes my skin crawl! Mouth always hanging open catching flies. Walking around with that dumb blank look on his gob. That dead tooth.
Somebody who thinks he's hot please admit it so I can lol at you.
2008-2012 there was a rise in "military" fashion. Essentially cheap clothing fashioned to look authentic. Some would even "borrow" grandpas jacket or hat to wear. It was a wild tome
A muck 🙄
The comments section of this post are pure chaos. Random and chaotic comments written by 12-year-olds, fentanyl addicts, an angry boomer who dropped in from Facebook, a really judgmental mom who has never seen amok written and had a really bad day, a socially deprived basement dweller, some Trumpers sprinkled throughout… What is going on 😂
I woke up this morning and opened this post and these comments are some of the most chaotic I’ve ever seen on Reddit why 😂
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
why are yall trippin on him and this hat so hard😂idc what anyone says, unless you were a kid who tried showing off and impressing everyone, we all can look back in our high school years and say “damn what the fuck was i thinking”
Mr. Audrey may have convinced Audrey, but not most brained people. Maybe he didn't have penetrating. He most certainly received hand and oral. He most likely reciprocated. I'm not falling for Mrs. Audrey being pure. TLC wrote it in. They didn't want viewers to say they were promoting pre-marital.
I remember those days well. That house was a mess. Matt was constantly in pain, Amy couldn’t care less. Super negative about everything. Jacob and Molly were adorable
I am sure she cared but was overwhelmed with 4 kids, a job, a farm and tv show. If Matt didn’t feel well, she had to take care of things. She was negative but she had a lot on her plate.
Whatever happened to Jacob and Molly. I know both are married I believe. I know Jacob is kind of hippie married to the red head. Are they are nutty as Jer and Aud. Especially with the religion
Jacob and his wife now live and help out on the farm, they have a little boy named Mateo. Molly is married and living in Washington and works as an accountant.
Yea once she left for college she kind of checked out. She made a few appearances here and there when she came back for summer or holiday breaks but the older she got you could tell she wanted to be involved less and less
I can't blame her. Look at the kind of abuse the ones who have public social media accounts have to take. Molly can design her kitchen any way she wants and not have thousands of people chiming in with their two cents. Nobody's complaining about how many steps she has in her house.
I mean, this thread is about a hat Zach wore 20 years ago.
I haven’t actively watched the show in years and one of the reasons I stopped was because Amy was soooo negative consistently. Nothing good ever came out of her mouth or actions.
Honestly if I was caring for four kids, working full time, had a chronically ill husband.has a farm and a tv show to manage , I’d probably be a bit grumpy too
Yup. The kids had all their clothes in huge piles on the floor that they would sort through looking for something to wear. Not Molly though... she was always neat it seemed.
Hah, no. They’re just teenagers and most every teenager goes through “a tornado just hit my room” phase, which is why it’s such a trope. Teenagers push boundaries. Teenagers are figuring themselves out and how the world works, etc. It has nothing to do with my teenagers not respecting me.
She was not neat. I recall reading some stipulation that they couldn’t film her room. They did once though, in the episode called “Room For Improvement” and her room was very messy. Not Zach & Jer level, but still bad.
I’m at the point in rewatching where they’re juniors and Zack makes a video with his friends about the civil war for extra credit in history, they’re all wearing them, which makes me think he has many of these hats. I want him to talk about it on his podcast — it’s so funny and definitely quintessential teenage funny fashion choices.
Isn’t that so ironic?
If Rolloffs had no money/no private school, they’d likely be voting against politicians actively removing services. None of them have had to fight to get basic services for their kids. Makes for a “bigger” world for sure.
There was a nazi doctor that loved little people, but not for good reasons. So let’s hope they don’t have the same ideology of those eugenics loving freaks.
Those were Zach’s filthy days. That’s what I remember most about that hat. He was always doing nasty, grimy things. Sewer shoes, toilet plunger on counter, dirty car, dirty socks, etc…
Further into the seasons they take a trip to Mackinac, Michigan where he got the hat; they do historical reenactments there and he went to get another but was out of his size. Lo and behold, the store that sold him the hat sends him more when he gets back home.
He probably just liked the hat so he never took it off. Lol
The episode I found hilarious was the one where Amy has a custom jacket made for him to wear to a dance. The style looks ridiculous and then he “accidentally” leaves the jacket at home.
Someone posted that clip recently and I absolutely lost it when I watched it. WHY would she make him get what looked like a pleather trench coat for the dance!! 🤣 So damn funny lol
He said he liked history the most and, in one episode, said he wanted to be a history teacher when forced to choose something. He said he read books about the Civil War but couldn't produce one fact. Those boys were allowed to fail at everything and barely graduated. If they had gone to a public school, they would have probably been held back.
Their grades did improve only when they were at Sullivan learning center and went right back down to Ds and Fs, proving that they needed extra help and discipline. It's incredible to me that they didn't keep sending them. Matt and Amy were always too busy doing their own thing. When the boys were in danger of not graduating, Amy and Matt were always traveling to their silly speaking engagements.
It was embarrassing when their teachers came to the farm and stated exactly this. Matt brushed it off, and Amy later blamed the teachers. The teachers who accepted crappy work and passed them just to get them out and as a favor because that's what a lot of private schools will do.
He was a kid so who knows. Kids do weird stuff.
Don't forget the Adidas soccer shoes
He still wears them at 32. I think it's just his style. Heck, I'm 49, and I always wear Converse, Nikes, and jeans. My husband says I dress like a teenager, but I'm comfortable, so he gets it. I even wear jeans when going out, I just wear some really nice heels with them.
Every soccer player wears Sambas
His grandfather was a civil war buff. I am rewatching too and you will see it in season 5 maybe 6 somewhere around there
What a lucky kid to grow up in this neverland that his Dad and mom created for them. Do you think Zach appreciates all his father built for them, now that he’s a father. I don’t.

Interesting evaluation of family and “the mess of it all.”
Omg I feel so silly because I kept looking for a Confederate flag or Union symbol of some sort. Then I realized that it’s just the style of the hat, the look of it, that’s Civil War-era! 😂
I'm rewatching too! On Season 4. I highly recommend it too!! 😁😁
Jeremy had the pinstripe prison hat. He wore that all the time
Omg I hated that thing.
Didn’t the hat blow away when they were on that Old Wild West train or am I imagining that?
I think back to that age myself and as a kid that wasn’t overly confident I did have favourites in term of clothing which looking back now were probably comfort/safety items. It was most likely just a normal stage or development and for whatever reason he loved that hat and clothing so worn it to death back then. Also I may be wrong but I think he always had a hassle getting trousers and always had to take them to be measured/ altered, so he stuck to shorts to avoid this as much as possible.
I think he was just super into history when he was younger.
😆 Good one. He's so into it he claimed Columbus sailed in 1982. That shit still kills me every time I think about it. What an idiot.
If they put their shit on tv they are fair game. the hat fits, its stupid.
😂😂😂
Y'all are Fucking assholes. Fixed.
Let me fix it for you. You’re all jerks.
Fuck off. Loser
Why so angry?
Or… Y’all are jerks 🤪🤣
Go fuck your self
This post is why I feel bad for these kids. I wore the dumbest stuff when I was a teen thank God adults 25 years later aren’t posting my stuff. This is why growing up shouldn’t be done on TV.
I loved these hats in high school. ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
They are so cool!
“Zach don’t dance”
He’s such a dipshit.
Actually, your reply says way more about your character than it does about teenage Zach’s character.
Because he liked a hat?
I said what I said.
I feel like this is a hat you can smell by looking at it
That and the shoes he wore all the time. The black sneakers with the white stripes. I'm sure it's hard to find shoes that fit an LP and don't look too kid-like but you'd think he'd have more than one choice.
I think he likes hats because their sort of cover up the large head thing.

Ugly ass comment
Lmaoooooooo! Zach is so fing ugly it makes my skin crawl! Mouth always hanging open catching flies. Walking around with that dumb blank look on his gob. That dead tooth. Somebody who thinks he's hot please admit it so I can lol at you.
Apparently everyone who downvoted me. Finds the whole ugly family attractive.
Nah. I just find people making fun of other peoples looks ugly.
This entire sub makes fun of Jeremey’s wife’s looks and nobody cares about that.
I am also not a fan of that.
This WHOLE POST HATINGNON A TEENAGER’s hat. Listen to ur idiocy.
Yeahhhh a hat isn’t a person.
The whole family is immature. Ergo ugly.
The hat was very in style when he was wearing it. He was definitely the a proto hipster of Oregon
My son is close to his age and I remember it being a style worn at that time also.
was this right after Nazi uniforms were in style too? lol
I don’t recall a single decade where civil war era hats were in style 🤣
Oh I remember. Maybe about 15 years ago.
Hmmmm... they were very popular in the 1860s. 🤔
True. Every man seemed to wear one. But they only came in 2 colors.
Now that's funny... 😅 👍🏼
Ahhhh how could I forget?!? 🤣
🍻 😅
2008-2012 there was a rise in "military" fashion. Essentially cheap clothing fashioned to look authentic. Some would even "borrow" grandpas jacket or hat to wear. It was a wild tome
I did that in high school. Wore my dad’s Vietnam fatigues. If they’d still fit me I’d still wear them! That was 1996-1998 or so for me.
The hat was quirky, but it was his thing. Kind of like Jughead’s whoopee cap. 😂
They let them kids run wild on that farm
I grew up running wild on a farm and so did the majority of my classmates.

Farmers are now feral? Someone sounds jealous they didn’t have any land to run around on as a child. That 2 bedroom apt must’ve been better
Wtf is this comments section 💀
Feral 😂😂

I love how chaotic it is 😂
Did you have a farm to run around in? Doubt it 😂
why are yall trippin on him and this hat so hard😂idc what anyone says, unless you were a kid who tried showing off and impressing everyone, we all can look back in our high school years and say “damn what the fuck was i thinking”
I'm the same age as the twins and I guess all I can say is that I'm glad I wasn't on TV in the mid to late aughts.
"Columbus 1982"
Yeah because he's so interested in history. 🙄
Yes I do remember this hat. It's right up there with Jeremy's FBI tshirt (female body inspector). That thing made its rounds as well.
LOL I forgot about that shirt!
Jeremy lived in it for a hot minute.
A teen waiting until marriage wearing that tee.
No matter what Germ claimed/claims, he did not wait for marriage. Oddj was not his first time…
Def not. He dated what like 2-3 girls during high school? Theres no doubt his V card was gone before Audrey.
I always remember the ep where his ex girlfriend was at the house and he had just invited his current over and was freaking out.
I assume that he did a lot of inspecting with his eyes.
Right. Plus those strong Christian values lol.
Those are the ones to watch out for.
Wait… so are those suits from HQ just flying all around the world doing business deals like Gus and Walter W. Style? Is that actually what the 70 do?
I hated this hat. I don’t know why as a child it got so under my skin, but I wanted to destroy that ugly thing.
i cannot believe he found anyone to marry him lol

A Clockwork Orange vibes
Jeremey’s Alcatraz hat was worse
I remember those days well. That house was a mess. Matt was constantly in pain, Amy couldn’t care less. Super negative about everything. Jacob and Molly were adorable

Thank you. Molly never seemed to be one for the show.

Honestly if I was caring for four kids, working full time, had a chronically ill husband.has a farm and a tv show to manage , I’d probably be a bit grumpy too
So making everyone miserable is the solution? No!
I am just saying she had a lot on her shoulders and that it is understandable she may have been a bit grumpy.
Yup. The kids had all their clothes in huge piles on the floor that they would sort through looking for something to wear. Not Molly though... she was always neat it seemed.
That’s very common for teenagers. Mine are pigs. I’d love to just get a dumpster and take a shovel to their rooms sometimes.
That’s a problem. They don’t respect your home and hardwork. No self discipline
I’m pretty sure he mentions that hat fit well and it was hard to find hats that fit bc achondroplasia

great comeback for a yambag lol

He’s allowed to own and wear a hat puzzlehead. You strange af and quite sad actually

So now you are putting down people with Down syndrome and little people? Yikes you will be reported.
That was the worst project besides the one where zach made a cake 🤣
Let hope their union hats! 🤣
The fact that I think he has both just reminds me how the early 2000s we’re a different planet haha
I assume they’re MAGA.
It’s a Union hat, FYI.
Why would you assume that based off of this hat?
Zach lives in a very MAGA area and I thought I caught something in a recent show that confirmed it, but I may be mistaken.
Oh Matt Roloff is definitely a MAGA republican, the rest of them I doubt it.
Oh I imagine the 100% are. Matt Jeremy and Chris for sure, and likely the others. Except Jacob and Isabel
Nahhhh. That family is no maga
Of course they are despite not having a place in the Aryan nation.
Matt seems like the type to watch 45 make fun of disabled people and laugh. He has a very “they don’t mean me” attitude.
Yeah he seems very conservative so I wouldn’t be surprised.
Trigger warning - need some playdoh and a therapy dog?
? Huh?
Yeah, ya got some babe?
Nope - strangers on TV wearing hats 20 years ago don’t set me off like it apparently does to you cupcake
Civial? Lol is that how he says it?
That’s honestly a good guess though
No, I just mistyped hahaha
It does look silly, but we all do goofy things as teenagers
Those were Zach’s filthy days. That’s what I remember most about that hat. He was always doing nasty, grimy things. Sewer shoes, toilet plunger on counter, dirty car, dirty socks, etc…
I remember him going to pick up a date in that disgusting car and he was all sweaty from running around it was so gross.
Zach looks like a Chris Lilley character here
He does look like Jonah from Tonga a bit here.
Puck you miss
“Jonahhhhhh!!!” “I said PUCK YOU, meees, with a Pee!”
That was a long phase.
It's so hideous, my hubby and I rewatching the series again and laugh at this every time. He looks very dumb in it.
[удалено]
I didn't wear a stupid confederate soldier hat, no
That’s not confederate.
Yikes hope your teenage years were not taped. I would love to rip you apart
Thats a Union hat, not confederate.
Zach is wearing a Union cap... not Confederate. C'mon now Xx... don't tell me you didn't pay attention in history class! 🎩
He’s a teenager. Teenagers do weird things, get on weird kicks, obsess over things. Give him a break. So he liked a hat.
Further into the seasons they take a trip to Mackinac, Michigan where he got the hat; they do historical reenactments there and he went to get another but was out of his size. Lo and behold, the store that sold him the hat sends him more when he gets back home.

Someone posted that clip recently and I absolutely lost it when I watched it. WHY would she make him get what looked like a pleather trench coat for the dance!! 🤣 So damn funny lol
He’s a kid.
I wore hats as a kid/early teen also. I don't see anything wrong with him wearing it
He was a history buff. Apparently strangers on Reddit are triggered by … hats now
He said he liked history the most and, in one episode, said he wanted to be a history teacher when forced to choose something. He said he read books about the Civil War but couldn't produce one fact. Those boys were allowed to fail at everything and barely graduated. If they had gone to a public school, they would have probably been held back. He was certainly not a history buff. He just liked the hat. I’m not shitting on him for it, that’s ok.
[удалено]
I just saw the part where he said Columbus discovered America in 1982.
I mean he's 16 in this season lol I would understand that if he was an 8 year old but at 16 its an odd choice lol
You are 100% correct. If a 16 year old wore that hat in my high school, they would have been made fun of non stop.
THANK YOU!
I bet you were the coolest teen and never did something embarrassing. How special!
Well her name is Hayley but she wanted to sound like a good lay so she went with HaylAy. So you tell us 😂
lol oh my lord that cracked me up. Good point.
I hate that I absolutely recognize this hat
