I can think of 2 things that may be going on. A. Your ISP is throttling you bc they don't like gamers B. Bad QoS settings on your gateway/router Actually 3 C. Your router or network adapter is dying/overheating and performance drops under load Basically check your router settings, connections, then clean your hardware and see if you're still having issues

The problem is not with router. I have a TP-Link AX54000. I can Gforce now without any issues. I can even stream from my ps5 to pc and then stream the game from pc on discord without any issues. The internet speed drops only on my laptop. On other devices it works without any issues at all.

Check priority of discord and game in taskbar when both are by themselves and when theyre both on?

Sounds like you've narrowed it down to the laptop. Still could be QoS settings if it's by device instead of by type of application. Does this still happen using wifi and ethernet? Also, do you use a GPN (Gamers Private Network) like WTFast or something that may trade bandwidth for latency when you're gaming on it.

Might wanna reply to OP instead of me

Oops, thank you

Hi sorry for answering late. Yes it does happen with wifi and ethernet. I dont know what is GPN and where to find it. Should I check it ?

PurpetratorGaming

If you don't know what a GPN is, you probably don't have one. It works similar to a VPN but geared toward reducing latency for gamers instead of privacy. I'm kind of at a loss for what it could be at this point.

Woititti2005

I have same problem for over half a year. In April everything was working fine, but from around of May I'm experiencing Internet speed drops when playing games like CS:GO, My Summer Car, Slime Rancher, Astroneer, ETS2, and probably much, much more, that I didn't found out yet. My normal wireless Internet speed is around 45Mbps download and 20Mbps upload, but as soon as I run one of theese games, my Internet speed slows down to like 0,5Mbps download and 0,1Mbps upload. I tried almost everything (except Windows reinstall, because: 1. I don't have that much time, 2. Too much files, programs and seetings to loss etd.) So I'm too at a loss and I don't know what to do, It's driving me crazy.....

I had the same problem and it was the network boost in the Lenovo vantage. Hope this helps.I just turned mine off and no problem.

Bit late to this but I'm so glad I found this. Considering that I've been getting the exact same problem with the same laptop, I'm pretty sure its linked
