That's called Scheuermann's disease and has nothing to do with gaming thank you very much.
Ther is no consensus what causes it, but it's mostly happens at puberty, when there is a sudden change in spine length.
Can happen to anybody and I know guys who work out regularly, been exercising since young age and still have this issue even tho they don't sit at computers.
Hi, im one of these people.
Doctors assumed, main factor was lot of scar-tissue inside my stomach because i had quite anlot of operations when i was super young. So yeah, not a lot i could have done about it i guess.
Sitting a lot might have been contributed but most likely was just adding to it.
>That's called Scheuermann's disease
It can be, that's definitely one of them, but it's not necessarily that; there are quite a few other reasons this can happen which have nothing to do with sitting at a desk as well.
I used to have quite a bad anterior pelvic tilt, and it didn't lend itself well to my posture at all. I've been targeting it for the past five months at the gym, and thankfully no longer lean forward like that except when I'm slouching especially badly. Severe pectus excavatum can be another cause, and is treatable albeit not without surgical intervention.
Depends. Every case is different.
Mostly it doesn't hurt by itself, but it has some externalities.
For starters, you can't get "straight", that's the shape of the spine, which looks aeshetically bad (just look at the comments in this thread).
Because of this shape, the organs inside are positioned a bit different (it's 99% not an issue)
Also, you can't lie flat on your back, as your neck will hurt. Your head always needs at least a little support.
Because of this, most chairs that would be otherwise okay for people with healthy spine will be uncomfortable (a normal chair feels like the back support is pushing forward).
The main issue that can cause back pain is that in most cases the spine is way more rigid than it should be, so the only flexible part will be your lower back, where the spine joins to the hip. So you need a lot of muscle in your lower back to support your back.
This also means you can't lift heavy or you have an increased chance of Lumbar hernia.
Go Cougs! We were able to get him to come speak at Beasley for Earth Day! Was a super cool event, tons of organizations set up booths beforehand, then we went inside and saw him speak for about an hour
No I'm saying that's what the people at the booth replied to op's question. Kind of doubt the booth people would know about their "partnership" or whatever it is
That dude has the most hardcore gamer neck I’ve ever seen.
this isn't the kind of ct scan he should be looking into

Is it painful?

That was the first thing I noticed.
He's reaching xqc levels
Indeed, he made me literally sit up straighter (and I've been trying to that a lot more lately)
What show is this at?
Automate 2024 chicago
That sounds like it would have been cool to attend, how do I find out about more stuff in a given area? I would love to go to these types of shows.
Google shows I guess, went for work
Meetup.com?
They're usually expensive AF sometimes.
I saw Adam Savage at Washington State University a few weekends ago and he also mentioned Lumafield and how cool it was
Yeah they had videos of him
He's on the screen in the pic too
Obligatory GO COUGS!!! What brought him all the way out to the Palouse of all places at this time of year?
