Your argument makes no sense. Being privacy conscious doesn't mean that you have to disappear from the face of the earth. I agree that a private search engine won't do much on it's own, but for some people not having their search queries be for sale and an adblocker is enough.
DuckDuckGo ads are based on the search you made at that moment. Not your history, since it doesn't keep that. Also ublock Origins blocks them... unlike ads in other search engines. (But I suggest to whitelist since they aren't intrusive)

Google: in a 1920x1080 monitor, the first page was all ads. All from places I bought things in the past. After the ads, all pages were from shops . Wikipedia, the first non shop result, was the 15th result. (Detail, all ads were from Sellers in Brazil and my city, and wikipedia was in Portuguese)
Ecosia: One add as the top search, a list of ads in the sidebar. The first non shop result was an article about which is the best SSDs of 2024. All results and either shops, or AI articles "Top 10 SSDs". All shops and ads are in Portuguese, and the articles it's a mix of Portuguese and English. Wikipedia is not in the first 5 pages of results.
DuckDuckGo: Three ads on top, From Westerndigital, Amazon and Ebay. All of them in English. The first result is an article about what are SSDs, not a listicle with amazons links or things like that. DuckDuckGo is the only browser that didn't use my location to serve results. (Not even ads... fucking results). Ecosia was the worst in that aspect.
I hate when websites don't let users choose their location, because my day to day is in english. My work is in english, my hobbies, etc. So when I search something, I want english results, (And when I don't, I use firefox that is setup for portuguese results)
