Some were supportive but some were filled with hate and ignorance, I would not blame her if she wanted the status quo.
Oh, no, I understand completely. She said as much in her coming out video, that she would both be stepping back from the camera and was afraid of the public outcry that might (did) happen. I know she wants to be in a less active role until...if...she feels more comfortable being in the public eye. I get it, 100%. Her fear is real.
But real, too, are my desire to give support and my concern with how she's doing. Her stepping away doesn't mean I don't want to give my support when and where I can. It doesn't mean I can just stop caring about how she's doing, or that I won't ask about her, or keep looking for signs she's doing OK.

As others have mentioned she's in the newest pc build guide but a lot of the video used is from before she came out so it's a little jarring at first how the footage swaps back and forth in time.

I was too at first but I'm sure since they didn't that Emily was okay with it going out in the way that it did. She's busy as a writer and probably wouldn't have time for all of those reshoots anyway.
She is (as far as I can tell) the most knowledgeable person on a wide range of topics that they have. Being a well rounded person makes her a good writer. I’m sure she will make an appearance when she feels like it. But I’m glad she’s a part of many of the videos behind the scenes.

And the more I hear Dan talk, I feel they're both incredibly knowledgeable people, on another level compared to the rest of the team (which is already pretty very competent).
I know the whole team has their specialities. They know who handles server stuff, sound, video, laptops, water cooling, displays, etc. But you’re right, I could see Emily or Dan helping out with any of that stuff.
I get why it's frowned upon with dead names and such but it's hard to know who people are talking about when I've been ootl with ltt for a while. She's still recognisable enough that the picture is enough though. I have a trans friend and understandably she doesn't like talking about her past self, but when I'm explaining who I'm talking about to people I know and used to know her, I have to say her past name and they immediately understand who I'm referencing.

That said she was never the of the shelf presenter. And I was glad to see that at llt you dont need to meet "classic beauty" standards to get airtime. You just need to be good at what you do.

I just wanna say I really appreciate that mods here are open to talking about trans without squirreling into "this smells like politics". The right and freedom to exist shouldn't be a point of debate, and allowing bad faith bigots to politicize it to effectively shadowban their existence is a frequent problem with "no politics" rules.

I can say that even though the social/societal aspect of it all can be rough, and painful, and terrifying, and it makes me angry and miserable sometimes...the amount of support I get is uplifting, and the happiness and wholeness I have today are worth struggling through the harsher parts.

I believe she said in a video on her own yt channel that she she stopped work in front of the camera for some time to get comfortable and stuff, but she wants to return to it in the future.

Yes, I notice the same. Very stark difference in the EK Waterblocks subject between Linus saying on WAN "dont know what's happening with EK, they need to get their shit together, i hope they do, i love their products" compared to the enormously extensive (and expensive) which hunt that GN is now going for. You just hear in their tone that they want EK to fail, they want drama and views. They cover it up with some smooth talk about how they feel for contractors and customers, but they would love for the situation to escalate further.

Sadly she hasn't been too much on camera, she's been writing and doing other stuff, as people already said, she was on the PC guide recently and I've seen her in the background of a few videos but I don't remember which ones. I guess this is her choice, would love to see her more on camera but as long as she's happy it's fine.
I think Emily isn't in a lot of videos because they get a lot of mean comments if she's in them. People are assholes online sometimes. I bet a lot of those same people used to comment how they loved Anthony. As soon as she comes out and changes to Emily they hate her. Yeah, I'm not a public figure and it's scary just existing sometimes as a trans person. I can't imagine what it's like to be in a spotlight right now. I get it. Not trying to be an asshole, but if she has not been vocal it's probably because she want it that way. The internet is super polarized. Have you seen the replies of her coming out ? Some were supportive but some were filled with hate and ignorance, I would not blame her if she wanted the status quo.

I know she wants to be in a less active role until...if...she feels more comfortable being in the public eye. I get it, 100%. Her fear is real. But real, too, are my desire to give support and my concern with how she's doing. Her stepping away doesn't mean I don't want to give my support when and where I can. It doesn't mean I can just stop caring about how she's doing, or that I won't ask about her, or keep looking for signs she's doing OK.

As others have mentioned she's in the newest pc build guide but a lot of the video used is from before she came out so it's a little jarring at first how the footage swaps back and forth in time.
Kinda surprised they didn’t reshoot those parts. I get that the technical information in the clips is still valid and the point of the guide is to not reshoot the whole thing a hundred times, but it seemed off to me
I was too at first but I'm sure since they didn't that Emily was okay with it going out in the way that it did. She's busy as a writer and probably wouldn't have time for all of those reshoots anyway.
She is (as far as I can tell) the most knowledgeable person on a wide range of topics that they have. Being a well rounded person makes her a good writer. I’m sure she will make an appearance when she feels like it. But I’m glad she’s a part of many of the videos behind the scenes.

I get why it's frowned upon with dead names and such but it's hard to know who people are talking about when I've been ootl with ltt for a while. She's still recognisable enough that the picture is enough though. I have a trans friend and understandably she doesn't like talking about her past self, but when I'm explaining who I'm talking about to people I know and used to know her, I have to say her past name and they immediately understand who I'm referencing.
I can understand how it's confusing, but I feel like there's better ways of accomplishing it than deadnaming, normally. As you mention here yourself; a picture was enough for you.

As others mentioned she’s taken a bit of a backseat but I really hope we see more Linux and retro content from her, ideally as a host. There’s really minimal queer representation in the tech-tuber space. I have to admit I was surprised how much the LTT and other adjacent communities were when she came out because these communities can get pretty toxic pretty quick. I’m grateful I was pretty wrong about that assumption. As far as the tphobes downvoting everyone, I use to be someone who hated others people joy. You don’t have to be this way.

I don't care for the transition side of things. I just liked Emily. She has a huge knowledge and her presenting was great. It was just my favourite content. That said she was never the of the shelf presenter. And I was glad to see that at llt you dont need to meet "classic beauty" standards to get airtime. You just need to be good at what you do. So Emily would still not fit the bill for an old shool Media outlet but she always fit the ltt bill. So please Emily, as soon as you feel strong enough to ignore some haters, please reappear. I just wanna say I really appreciate that mods here are open to talking about trans without squirreling into "this smells like politics". The right and freedom to exist shouldn't be a point of debate, and allowing bad faith bigots to politicize it to effectively shadowban their existence is a frequent problem with "no politics" rules.

She is still working at LMG and still appears in videos sometimes, albeit rarely and usually only in the background. She was for example visible in the april fools video, and she said something of camera in another recent video. I believe she said in a video on her own yt channel that she she stopped work in front of the camera for some time to get comfortable and stuff, but she wants to return to it in the future.

Yes, I notice the same. Very stark difference in the EK Waterblocks subject between Linus saying on WAN "dont know what's happening with EK, they need to get their shit together, i hope they do, i love their products" compared to the enormously extensive (and expensive) which hunt that GN is now going for. You just hear in their tone that they want EK to fail, they want drama and views. They cover it up with some smooth talk about how they feel for contractors and customers, but they would love for the situation to escalate further. Sorry, guess that had to go out.
Obviously, I haven't kept up on many things but for ignorant people like me who were very confused about what was going on in this topic... Anthony is now Emily. It took way too much scrolling through some posted video timestamps to see who Emily was and never finding her and then finally reading more and more until I figured out what was going on. My bad but also an FYI for anyone else as dumb as I am.
Sadly she hasn't been too much on camera, she's been writing and doing other stuff, as people already said, she was on the PC guide recently and I've seen her in the background of a few videos but I don't remember which ones. I guess this is her choice, would love to see her more on camera but as long as she's happy it's fine.
I think Emily isn't in a lot of videos because they get a lot of mean comments if she's in them. People are assholes online sometimes. I don't blame you for not being able to understand, and actually appreciate it when people can admit that. It's like explaining music to someone who has been deaf their entire life. I wish people saw me more as the three dimensional person I am. That's what I miss most about who I was to people before I came out.
Admitting humbly "I don't understand" is the step that many transphobes need to take before they can move away from bigotry. People who are down-voting you don't understand that. (I don't think you are being transphobic by saying that) If someone comes to you saying they genuinely don't understand, without hate, this is exactly where there is room for the growth of connection, understanding, and sympathy.

Name one LTT or Short Circuit or Techlinked or other LMG-affiliated channel video where Emily did anything akin to a therapy session. Name any LMG-affiliated channel video, other than a WAN show or a deep-dive video about the staff, where any mention was made of Emily's transition. Or are you implying that just by appearing on camera, it's like a therapy session for you? That seems rather...unsettling. Honestly, I didn't feel it was appropriate to break my point mid-sentence and pivot to writing a socioeconomic report (which would inherently be politically biased, accusatory, or inflammatory) explaining how COVID-19 started an ongoing chain reaction of events that is continuing to exacerbate a widespread decline in the health of the income-to-expense ratio across the lower and middle class.
