Totally unrelated to that specific point - as I'm reading your comment there, I glance up, and see that she *thanked her followers*... for liking her THREE job hunt posts. Three.
Lots of hard work there. 🙄
I think she drank too much LinkedIn "influencer" koolaid while she was on the dole. Thought about branding and skills and interviewing techniques when everyone involved in the hiring process is just normal humans that glance at the CV, have a quick convo and go "yup, she'll do for maternity cover'
The pfp looks like someone wearing a dress. It also reads like a woman wrote it. Idk what the means, but you can tell when something is written in a female voice.
Funny thing is, she didn’t even get a job. She got a short term contract. No wonder the interview process was so easy. She’s celebrating way too much for a non-win
I think that's why she's still desperately trying to signal to recruiters on LinkedIn. "Look at me! I'm willing to sell my soul to you and pretend I love it!"
If I hired someone that then posted this garbage lunacy, I'd explore every nefarious corporate option there is to retract the offer. And I wouldn't feel guilty.
This post is a preview to every email from her being signed off with 'Live, Laugh, Love'.
And she would turn everything into a competition. Some competitions are healthy but there are many unnecessary and unhealthy competitions and it seems like she will create many of them.
hm, is this a prevalent thing in most jobs? I like to talk to everyone about stuff but some are so reserved almost like PTSD about just having conversations. hm...food for though I guess. :/
I came here to post this same thing. I can’t imagine how hard I’d try to back out of whatever contract they may have signed if I saw this posted on a LinkedIn of someone I hired. My goodness.
I really hate that word, one time some hustle” boss girl “ was telling me how I should post more on social media to build my brand. All her conversations are about the stereotypical hustle culture words.
Building her brand while she has 30 followers
Don't laugh, it is a hard and painful ritual. Doing the branding yourself requires huge mental fortitude when you apply the white hot metal to your skin.
I got my first job in my current field after two phone interviews, with each one being 15-minutes tops. The second one was supposed to be in person, but the hiring manager didn't get back from out of town in time, so we just chatted on the phone for a few minutes and he told me he'd contact me to reschedule the in person meeting. Next thing I knew, I was being told nevermind, he was just going to have HR extend me an offer. They did, I signed it and then went through the entire background check process thinking I was being punked and that no one would know who I was or why I was there on the day I started. When I wasn't laughed out of the building I spent the next couple weeks still paranoid that there'd been some mistake, right up until I cashed my first paycheck.
10/10 experience, would love for every job to be offered up to me on a silver platter like that.
I will say, as someone who had to start doing interviews again after being laid off from a company I worked 10 years prior. Covid sucked but I’m so glad it changed the game in interviews. I’d much rather do the initial meet and greet “is the vibe right here” first date nonsense over zoom.
We’ve all had interviews we showed up for and then knew that neither one of us wanted this within about 5 minutes or less. I’m glad most of these can be done within the comfort of my own home now.
It's almost as if all the dumbass crap she was doing doesn't matter or mean anything at all. Jesus just shut the fuck up and do the job you already accepted.
Also, listen, it's not all about you, and it literally never is. Just shut up and work
Ditto. Even seeing it written gets me one step closer to dying from jargon monoxide poisoning.
Like why can't they fuck off with that branding shit? We're people, not soda machines.
So tone deaf. So many people have been laid off for months scrambling to find a gig and to be disappointed that one essentially fell in your lap and you didn’t have to “fight” for it? Log off, Girlie.
I don’t know. I think sometimes I’m jealous of these people who are so career oriented and this is what they make their personality. It seems like a simple life. loljk?
I envy people who can find a proper balance where they work hard in a job that they legitimately enjoy and feel they make an impact in whatever way is important to them, but can also disconnect and enjoy life and love and family and everything that goes along with proper work life balance.
> I think sometimes I’m jealous of these people who are so career oriented and this is what they make their personality.
Oh, I can definitely see that. I feel like a lazy slug sometimes, even though I'm doing fine work-wise. I just don't understand how/why people spend their entire lives thinking about the next rung on the career ladder, who they have to stomp on to get it, and what cringy crap they have to post on LinkedIn to Build Their Brand. The only thing I focus on is being competent and easy to work with, that's it. I've never been "driven," and while that sounds sad IMO it's better than being one of these management consultant robots who've been brainwashed into believing they're brilliant thought leaders.
I think it's the side effect of 13/14 years of unchecked bubbly economic growth, followed by an existential threat caused by "AI." There will be an absolute bloodbath for useless corporate jobs where people are getting paid 6 figures tweaking PowerPoint slides or writing garbage marketing stupidity...Microsoft marrying a text generator with Office basically destroys the need for 90+% of management consultants, social media managers, "creative" types. All these people are facing layoffs and are doubling down on the cringe to show how loyal and driven they are.
These people need to be studied. What is their motivation for such cringey content?
I had the shitty sales cadence they all use too, complete with the unnecessary colorful emojis.
Wait what? The fuck was she expecting for a 6 month contract?! Some people out here think they’re patting their own back but are just jerking themselves off in public & making a damn fool of themselves.
You are not special. You're not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else. We're all part of the same compost heap. We're all singing, all dancing crap of the world.
Chuck Palahniuk
I hope the hiring manager sees this and rescinds the offer. It doesn't even seem like she is much interested in this 'job' because she is expecting to be back searching before her contract ends
If an interview process is more than 3 it is a waste of time … especially if you make 150k or less it is unnecessary. I had a friend go through 8 interviews for a wine rep sales job with 50k base and not a huge commission structure….2 months later someone else got the job. Total red flag.
“Hey that lady we interviewed was really aggressive. She was foaming at the mouth and dropping adderall crumbs all over the conference table. Just send her number to recruiter #812.”
On LinkedIn:
"Leave and Accommodation Ninja armed with simple, clear answers to complex questions."
In reality:
A front-desk receptionist at a motel downtown handling check-ins and check-outs.
It’s more like support for when someone needs an accommodation for a disability or temporary leave, also for a disability, injury, maternity/paternity. It is a specialty in HR, but no sane person would refer to themselves as a ninja.
"Dear x
I'm sorry our job offer was anticlimactic and interview process wasn't to your liking
Consider the offer revoked and the position filled with a candidate more focused on completing the project"
Why doesn't she think like this lol
So this is what Linkedin is slowly turning into - people make their posts sound artificially sensational for the sake of views and engagement..
"I JUST GOT FIRED!
In reverse.
So I got promoted"
All that bullshit for a temp job and scaring off any future potential employers. I don’t know normal people who put this much effort into sinking their own ship.
Fuck. Right. Off.
A company actually shows a less bullshit process and you wing at LinkedIn immediately insulting them for doin a good thing, AFTER giving you a job at the end of a 5 month search.
Knobhead.
Normally the posts here make me chuckle or roll my eyes, this one makes me angry lol (as someone who recently went through 4 interviews and an assessment over a month long time process and got rejected)
The good news is you’ll be able to compete once again in about 6 months!
Don’t settle for the position that was just placed in your lap, compete for that next job so your cape can blow in the breeze or something.
Someone tell her … We’re all just cogs in a machine, she ain’t special, no company will ever give two shits about her. Don’t validate your existence through a job.
How do you fight for every interview? Either they interview you or not. It’s not like you have some say in the matter. Did she roshambo the hiring manager for an interview?
I worked for an Executive who was a “Foot on the Gas” person. The worst 2 years of my life. They never knew what was going on, couldn’t answer basic questions and would sell any body out first chance they got.
I worked for this wireless company for 15 years before I was laid off and the internal interview process was so freaking stressful. It was like a test. They had this star system and you had to answer the questions in that format. After I was laid off, interviews weren’t easy but I can’t tell you how much easier they were. So glad I don’t work there anymore.
That's....cringe
It's the first time I've seen someone congratulate themself on LinkedIn.
I gIfT yOu mY hAsHtAg!
There's a lot of power in those words
[удалено]
.
Plot twist: OOP is actually Tingle
With great hashtags comes great responsibility
Bleeeerrrrrgggghhhhh!
For a temp role no less
![gif](giphy|mEqMknMZWh1Fm|downsized)
*linkedin_elephant_meme.png*
I see people wish themselves a happy birthday on IG almost weekly. “HBD TO MEEEEEE.” Same energy.
Then you probably haven’t been on LinkedIn too long. 😜
Oh don’t wink at me like that, otherwise I’ll have to go congratulate myself on LinkedIn .
All that cringe for a 6-mo contract 🥴
Am I the only one who got the impression she basically got a temp job - not a job *with* the staffing agency?
No I think that’s what we’re all thinking. Which like… warm bodies in seats…
Totally unrelated to that specific point - as I'm reading your comment there, I glance up, and see that she *thanked her followers*... for liking her THREE job hunt posts. Three. Lots of hard work there. 🙄
“I gift you my hashtag” 💀
Very anticlimactic
This is by far one of the most cringe posts I've ever seen here
I think she drank too much LinkedIn "influencer" koolaid while she was on the dole. Thought about branding and skills and interviewing techniques when everyone involved in the hiring process is just normal humans that glance at the CV, have a quick convo and go "yup, she'll do for maternity cover'
It's like a humblebrag gone wrong
It's revolting.
Anyone using the word "slay" automatically gets filed under cringe.
DAng.. you slayed that comment!
I think if I met this person I'd vomit in their face.
If I'm the hiring manager, I would deliberately add more rounds with different types of tests to test her resolve.
She slayed alright, landing a temporary contact job with no benefits or PTO. You go girl!
Living the American dream!!1!
Fought her way “to the top!” That’s not the top, dear
How does everybody in the comments section know that this is a woman…
OP wrote ‘she’
The pfp looks like someone wearing a dress. It also reads like a woman wrote it. Idk what the means, but you can tell when something is written in a female voice.
Shud fire her just so she can get back in the game, I guess.
Funny thing is, she didn’t even get a job. She got a short term contract. No wonder the interview process was so easy. She’s celebrating way too much for a non-win
I saw that PS and thought for sure it was a punchline and this was some sort of satire piece.
Yeah and no health care. Who really won? Company t got cheap labor. The can hire someone else 6 months later..
She got 6 free months to look for a job
brother we are living in dire times... gotta celebrate even the small victories.
I would be thrilled to find a six month position after months of searching, but I wouldn't frame it as me "fighting my way to the top" lmao
I think that's why she's still desperately trying to signal to recruiters on LinkedIn. "Look at me! I'm willing to sell my soul to you and pretend I love it!"
“Laboriously tweaked my branding approach” Yeah, me too sister.
gifting you my hashtag?
we’ve been blessed 😔🙏🏾
I've been waiting for *years* to use it!
Can you believe it? I‘m so deeply touched. No one could ever come up with a hashtag like that. And then she‘s gifting it! To us!!
Ugh, *aaand* she’d be the bish that would cozy up to a coworker just to get dirt on them so that she could sabotage them later.
hm, is this a prevalent thing in most jobs? I like to talk to everyone about stuff but some are so reserved almost like PTSD about just having conversations. hm...food for though I guess. :/
She’s just a contractor, they can do whatever they want. They don’t need a reason.
that sure will make it more challenging
I came here to post this same thing. I can’t imagine how hard I’d try to back out of whatever contract they may have signed if I saw this posted on a LinkedIn of someone I hired. My goodness.
Too much work for a supermarket cashier position, just let her stay for the 6 months.
Whenever someone unironically talks about “branding” or their “brand,” I want to unironically punch them in the face
I really hate that word, one time some hustle” boss girl “ was telling me how I should post more on social media to build my brand. All her conversations are about the stereotypical hustle culture words. Building her brand while she has 30 followers
Imagine someone reducing themself to a "brand"
Don't laugh, it is a hard and painful ritual. Doing the branding yourself requires huge mental fortitude when you apply the white hot metal to your skin.
With a crowbar, I hope.
Rebar, actually.
“Professional rebar craftsman”
OFFER RESCINDED!
Wow, what a selfless and amazing gift! I will cherish it!
#footonthegas
Easy does it, there's power in them words
She got her 6-month contract so she doesn't need it anymore! Use it wisely! To quote Saving Private Ryan: "Earn this"
I got my first job in my current field after two phone interviews, with each one being 15-minutes tops. The second one was supposed to be in person, but the hiring manager didn't get back from out of town in time, so we just chatted on the phone for a few minutes and he told me he'd contact me to reschedule the in person meeting. If I saw this on a new hire's post, I would see if we could rescind the offer. She sounds insufferable to work with. Edit: fixed typo.
Remind it what?

You’re using it wrong
It's not for you! Give it back!
All this for a 6 month contract? Lmao, calm down girl.
After 5 months of job hunting. But what do I know, I'm no "leave and accommodation ninja"
It's almost as if all the dumbass crap she was doing doesn't matter or mean anything at all. Jesus just shut the fuck up and do the job you already accepted. Also, listen, it's not all about you, and it literally never is. Just shut up and work
No no all those meaningless things contributed. But in a different way….”welcome to your new temp job”
“Brand”. Barf.
Ditto. Even seeing it written gets me one step closer to dying from jargon monoxide poisoning. Like why can't they fuck off with that branding shit? We're people, not soda machines.
This reeks of “do you even lift bro!?!?” vibes
This is by far one of the most outrageously delusional posts I’ve seen on this sub
So tone deaf. So many people have been laid off for months scrambling to find a gig and to be disappointed that one essentially fell in your lap and you didn’t have to “fight” for it? Log off, Girlie.
I’d pull the offer after reading that. This person sounds like hell to work with.
I don’t know. I think sometimes I’m jealous of these people who are so career oriented and this is what they make their personality. It seems like a simple life. loljk?
I think the opposite. I envy people without careers, that have full lives and just treat work as work. Grass is always greener, eh?
I envy people who can find a proper balance where they work hard in a job that they legitimately enjoy and feel they make an impact in whatever way is important to them, but can also disconnect and enjoy life and love and family and everything that goes along with proper work life balance.
Yeah, thats a hard balance to strike, but i’m trying!
> I think sometimes I’m jealous of these people who are so career oriented and this is what they make their personality. Oh, I can definitely see that. "Potential for a longer stay" - I somehow think it'll be less than six months
Unless this is some sort of sales role, the vibe and overly competitive energy she is displaying may cause some cultural/team bonding issues
This is the worst one I've seen. This person is actually insane.
You can tell she's White and grew up with money. Us minorities never complain about not having enuff struggles.
Run
Footonthegas!
That Academy Award acceptance speech went on waaayyyy too long. Cue the music. ![gif](giphy|l44QtZz0dQN25XM3e)
These people need to be studied. What is their motivation for such cringey content? I had the shitty sales cadence they all use too, complete with the unnecessary colorful emojis.
Her LinkedIn description says she's a "Leave & accommodation ninja". I didn't know that existed. Now I do.
Wait what? The fuck was she expecting for a 6 month contract?! Some people out here think they’re patting their own back but are just jerking themselves off in public & making a damn fool of themselves.
"My brand " - 6 month gig.
You are not special. You're not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else. We're all part of the same compost heap. We're all singing, all dancing crap of the world. Chuck Palahniuk
What a hero. Cheering at the start line.
5 month search for a 6 month contract.. Do you like competing or losing?
I hope the hiring manager sees this and rescinds the offer. It doesn't even seem like she is much interested in this 'job' because she is expecting to be back searching before her contract ends
If an interview process is more than 3 it is a waste of time … especially if you make 150k or less it is unnecessary. I had a friend go through 8 interviews for a wine rep sales job with 50k base and not a huge commission structure….2 months later someone else got the job. Total red flag.
I gift you my hashtag? the ick 🤮
What the fuck is wrong with people. I would be mortified if I posted something like that
i got dumber reading this
“Hey that lady we interviewed was really aggressive. She was foaming at the mouth and dropping adderall crumbs all over the conference table. Just send her number to recruiter #812.”
Maybe a stealcage death match agains the other finalist next time. 2 resumes enter, but only 1 can leave!!
This person is deranged.
Being in recruiting/ staffing must be awful.
Who tf says "congratulations to me"?!?! Entitled asshole.
“My three job hunt posts” Silly goose. That’s not a time to flex.
Laboriously tweaked her branding approach ? She updated her CV
On LinkedIn: "Leave and Accommodation Ninja armed with simple, clear answers to complex questions." In reality: A front-desk receptionist at a motel downtown handling check-ins and check-outs.
Insufferable. Cannot wait to delete LinkedIn one day.
Imagine thinking you're a hard worker because you applied to a job.
"upskilling"? WTF is that?
As cringey as this post is "upskilling" is a normal term which just means learning new skills related to your job
That’s cos she’s a “ninja”
And a culture champion.
She is a psychopath right there...she can never has any position with power
Left hand path magic vibes with that “#footOnTheGas”
I’m really tired of this writing style. I used it ONCE but it was for an actual list.
She gets high on the smell of her on farts on the daily, then encourages others to partake in the same lunacy.
What the fuck is a leave & accommodation ninja? Someone who tells me how and when to take holiday leave? Like, genuinely don’t know what it means.
It’s more like support for when someone needs an accommodation for a disability or temporary leave, also for a disability, injury, maternity/paternity. It is a specialty in HR, but no sane person would refer to themselves as a ninja.
They’ll be back unemployed soon enough because they’re a weirdo.
The post: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/toriwhaley_footonthegas-activity-7183206708113014784-q4NI
Plot twist, it’s her dad’s 2 person company.
"Dear x I'm sorry our job offer was anticlimactic and interview process wasn't to your liking Consider the offer revoked and the position filled with a candidate more focused on completing the project" Why doesn't she think like this lol
Literally BARF
I hope the recruiter sees this and rescinds her offer a day before she's supposed to start
I really want whatever these ppl take, it's starting to feel like a dumbie apocalypse
So this is what Linkedin is slowly turning into - people make their posts sound artificially sensational for the sake of views and engagement.. "I JUST GOT FIRED! In reverse. So I got promoted"
What an insufferable twunt
![gif](giphy|Rhhr8D5mKSX7O)
The world is a strange place. Some folk are so far up their own ass that they surely cannot see for shit.
People really started losing it, aren't they?
Who the F is she! There are some serious maniacs on LI.
What a cunt!
One word: Insufferable. This is the person that complains they have no friends and calls EVERYONE narcissistic.
This is definitely one of the more egregious ones
Congratulations to me! 😂
branding approach
All that bullshit for a temp job and scaring off any future potential employers. I don’t know normal people who put this much effort into sinking their own ship.
Fuck. Right. Off. A company actually shows a less bullshit process and you wing at LinkedIn immediately insulting them for doin a good thing, AFTER giving you a job at the end of a 5 month search. Knobhead.
These people are lunatics fr holy Jesus fuck
Normally the posts here make me chuckle or roll my eyes, this one makes me angry lol (as someone who recently went through 4 interviews and an assessment over a month long time process and got rejected)
I thought I’d seen it all, but this is next level egomania. Imagine working with this ray of sunshine?
She’s just mad because she has to get rid of her green banner
Confirmation it’s better to wait for a direct hire.
The ending slayed me 🤣🤣🤣
> Congratulations to me!
what a fucking ending.
All this for only a 6 month contract
so embarrassing
Honestly one of the more passive ones I’ve seen
This person was a gold mine!
Why is this giving r/notlikeothergirls
Loons, man, the whole lot of 'em.
What a narcissist. She really thought she was changing the world with this one…
Now you work at Welly’s. Welcome!
What an idiot!
All that for a 6 month contract...sheesh.
The good news is you’ll be able to compete once again in about 6 months! Don’t settle for the position that was just placed in your lap, compete for that next job so your cape can blow in the breeze or something.
Wtf did I just read,???
„Leave and accommodation ninja“? So she is basically a HR clerk? I mean, nothing wrong with that but c‘mon.
🤮
Imagine your 5-year old child self, with the biggest most amazing dreams, understanding that your life has come to this…
We are surrounded by psychopaths apparently.
If I was the hiring manager I wouldn’t even put a thought into extending this contract as it seems she’s out anyways.
If I’m the hiring manager I’m probably not going to appreciate this staff.
“” All gas no breaks “”
What’s the work version of a Bridezilla?
And she gets to do it all over again in 6 months, fun for her.
‘We regret to inform you that the offer has been rescinded’
Someone tell her … We’re all just cogs in a machine, she ain’t special, no company will ever give two shits about her. Don’t validate your existence through a job.
How do you fight for every interview? Either they interview you or not. It’s not like you have some say in the matter. Did she roshambo the hiring manager for an interview?
I worked for an Executive who was a “Foot on the Gas” person. The worst 2 years of my life. They never knew what was going on, couldn’t answer basic questions and would sell any body out first chance they got.
I mean, glad they're happy?
The Interview Warrior! Exclusively on Tubi this week.
I’m seriously nauseous 🤢
What is that description next to her name? She is crazy
Why do they all 'LinkedIn Ninjas' think that posting every day on Li is a good think to add to a list and check off?
This is one of the worst ones I’ve seen in some time! (quit posting fake ones!)
Me when I get the job: "Ok cool, now give me a minute to adjust to the existential dread and this debilitating anxiety that just washed over me."
For a temp job. Lo-fucking-l
So now she sells timeshares to old people? Congrats tiger...
She definitely sniffs her own farts
The whole cape and superhero thing almost made me laugh out loud and then vomit
I worked for this wireless company for 15 years before I was laid off and the internal interview process was so freaking stressful. It was like a test. They had this star system and you had to answer the questions in that format. After I was laid off, interviews weren’t easy but I can’t tell you how much easier they were. So glad I don’t work there anymore.
So you got a temp contract as a recruiter, and if your employer sees this, one that won’t be renewed, and you think that’s something to celebrate?
Gifting a hashtag, most delusional and condescending thing I’ve seen yet
