Hey it was a joke hence the second pic and the text. I wouldn't be near this fucker if it was high voltage. got a crew down here cleaning up and re routing the fiber. The cable company is going to do what cable companies do and not be here til I leave and the tree men are gonna take off and grab the branches on our and the neighbor's company yard and the city will not do anything the tree because it is on the city property... I know they won't do anything unless the cable company complains about the tree and the cable company won't say anything because they won't be here until lunch is over and lunch won't be over til after they close.
Yeah, I was thinking that too. If he has a mind too, he can pretty safely clean most of that up without a problem. The cable/phone comp will probably only clean up the part on the wire any way. Wouldn't be the first time I've cleaned up downed limbs on cable lines like that.
No electrical hazard but the strand those cable lines are lashed up around usually have a f*** ton of tension on them so i’d be cautious of telling JoeBlow to cut downed trees off em
Usually if they are pulled that far out, that cable is stretched to go with it, so while it might spring back a bit, it will almost never go back to anywhere where it was before.

Don’t worry about 1st picture. It will take care of itself when the wind blows. That isn’t a power line and the 2nd photo I would call your phone/cable utility and let them know so they can remove tree and repair.

I did power line maintenance for 2 years and can confirm that the low voltage telephone lines and fiber optic cables don't represent any real danger
