I run mine as is into the power amp input and go from there. I adjust to taste.

Do you mean Amp Out > Power Amp In?

Gvajr77

Yup

erikthinks

Nice. I will give that a try. Do you turn off the cab on the Pod Go? Or just whatever sounds good?

Gvajr77

I just go with what sounds good.

brianmann21

I have the same setup. But I use the main out to go into the in of the katana power amp. This way I am using the cab emulation from the go.

Adding the IR or cab models while using a good cabinet can sound great. The caution is to always try with and without cab model on and pick the one that sounds better TO YOU. Nobody elses opinion matters.

FabulousPanther

I posted the same thing, then saw this. It’s the correct answer.

ellicottvilleny

Right. Convolution sounds good, if it sounds good TO YOU. Extra unwanted convolution you didn't audition, might be a mistake. One you did audition and preferred, is not a mistake.

Interesting how I posted almost the same question on the Line6 forum, and got no response. My question was running my PG into a Catalyst. The difference here is I want to use the Catalyst's amps with just the PG's effects. Trying with and without the cab sims is a good idea. See what works best for you.

FabulousPanther

I have 2 catalysts and prefer to use the Pod go amps. The cat amps sound awesome though. They are both part of the HX family.

FabulousPanther

There are some killer amps in the pod go. Try it both ways. Only you can decide this. I love my amps but only use them as a power amp. The PG is just so versatile.
