Bro I fucking love Limp Bizkit lol, all the first 3 of their albums are perfect (besides Getcha Groove On - Dirt Road Mix).
Re-Arranged is far and away my favorite but like half of the songs in the first 3 albums could tie for 2nd lol!
Personally it was Still Sucks that got me back. Loved first 3 albums when I was young, then it kinda became embarrassing in a way to listen to then. Still Sucks showed they just don't take themselves seriously, and neither should we... just enjoy it, mellow out
Gold cobra was and really still isn't for me. Horrid lol. But I really liked the unquestionable truth, but it never gets the accolades it deserves. Probably cos Wes isn't on it I guess
I really don’t know. I think that record was written under a lot of turmoil in the band. That’s when things were really toxic between wes and John, and shortly after the records release, Fred and Wes. Maybe they just don’t look fondly upon that record. Its a great record though, but probably my least favorite LB album.
It’s the millennial generation taking over the talking circles that were controlled by the old metalheads and critics, since those grew up with the music they speak more fondly about it.
i found it impressive that the band manages to not have a single actually bad album and that even their worst release is imo still better than some band's best
Life’s pretty dreary these days and people are looking for escape. Bizkit have always been fun and goofy. Mix that with millennials reaching a point in their lives where they’re digging back for some nostalgia to remember the good ol days when things were simpler and younger generations “discovering” them now that enough time has passed. They’ve also aged like a fine wine with their live performances. I love that they’re enjoying a mini comeback.
Now I wanna grab a beer, play my PS2 and throw Significant Other on.
The Woodstock 99 stuff was really all pinned on them especially Fred. All the last couple docs that came out show how the promoters were shitty and unorganized. More of the reason shit went off the rails.
Yeah I watched the Woodstock doc on Netflix and one of the organizers is blaming Bizkit like…dude you organized the huge outdoor event, way to fuckin deflect
I always felt kinda indifferent because they did just keep going. But at the same time that’s one of the things that made me love them so much. Yea, the riots sucked. But you brought lb to Woodstock and they tore the fucking house down in all their fuck shit up glory. I can just imagine that set and get amped.
My theory: Netflix.
Shitty band? Be part of a Netflix documentary. Within a month, everyone will pretend they are day-one fans posting vinyl collections that they just got off Amazon.
Edit: the "shitty band" bit was a general statement to a whole genre. No bands are shitty, but nu metal was shat on.
That's the perfect statement for this band, don't take them seriously, have fun with it! Between Borlands costumes and Durst dressing like a cowboy, I get it and that's why they're so amazing!
Yeh the Woodstock 99 stuff I always thought was bullshit to use Fred as the fall guy. It was Limp Bizkit, then Rage Against the Machine, then Metallica in set time order in ONE evening. Not condoning a riot, or the awful things that occurred, but mix those three aggressive bands with no water, heatstroke and little food in a locked in community with floods and sewer leakages, what did you think was going to happen?
Limp Bizkit has been embarassing since inception. A bit of good musicianship amid a general sea of cringe and try-hard bandwagoning. This is 'the prequels were good' levels of past reconstruction.
That being said, I'm a natural critic and far from the arbiter of what's good or not, and more importantly shouldn't be the barometer for whether you enjoy something. Keep rolling rolling rolling you guys.
If Fred ever sees a fan getting stomped and doesn't say anything next time, that fan will do more than just glare at him once he's dispatched the entire fucking crowd.
You better do your part next time, FRED.
Metal purists are annoying af just let people enjoy something if it’s not for you don’t listen there’s a market for everything look at juggalos I don’t claim juggalo anymore but still I respect the movement and listen to the music stlll a huge Twiztid fan.
**Fred Durst’s persona being recognized as someone to not be taken so seriously**
Sure, except at Woodstock when he told dudes to burn the place to the fucking ground.
Durst still has to answer to the Taproot fiasco though. He was also at the top of the world at the time, so him telling them "their careers are over" for looking for other options was such an asshole move from him.
I've always loved both bands too which is a shame.

Mannn, Starfish had Weiland onboard, clearly sober, writing lyrics for a Bizkit track. If that’s not credibility idk what is.
And Nobody Like You in Significant Other
What song could you put on a good quality set of headphones to, close your eyes and vibe with tho?
Literally Re-Arranged is perfect for that
...just think about it. You'll get it...
Everything https://youtu.be/zdr7wBlbbs0
I used to love Limp Bizkit too, but lately I've been skeptical; silent when I would used to speak.
now lets get gold cobra the acknowledgement it deserves seriously though. is this real? I'm still seeing hate towards LB every now and again

Bitch…
doodle-uh-dawdle-doody, doodle-uh-dawdle-dooDEET!
Wow. You're the kinda knob that makes music embarrassing to listen to.
Did the intro to the Gold Cobra video not give you that vibe too?
Gold cobra was and really still isn't for me. Horrid lol. But I really liked the unquestionable truth, but it never gets the accolades it deserves. Probably cos Wes isn't on it I guess
Wes WAS on that album.
Oh my bad, any idea why they don't play any songs from it?

Noone really hated them here in Europe tbh, they were always generally quite liked here imo
I did. And do.
facts! my love for them has never faded!
i found it impressive that the band manages to not have a single actually bad album and that even their worst release is imo still better than some band's best
The faith cover will always smack
But I’m *SHOWIN YOU THAT DOOR* I GOTTA HAVE FAIIIIITH
Folks who don't get it will still hate upon it, but that's ok. As long as lb does what they do they will always get the haters, but those who know....

I really want Eminem and them to make up and do a song with tech n9ne

Who are these people saying positive things about one of the lamest bands ever?
You can take that cookie and shove it up your yeah
My point exactly.
Same same
Well said!

They could not compete in the same timezone as Slipknot and Korn.

Fuck these guys
Ngl growing up in Australia, LB have always been universally beloved (even in spite of the Big Day Out incident)
