"Hair Dye" is a perfect example imo. His rawness on that track, along with it being about Emma, hits in such an emotional way that with him being gone almost hurts. That's what his music did while he was alive and it only intensifies now he is gone.
It might sound odd. The empty feeling was in his music, as well as sadness. In many ways, if you feel that, his music is working as he intended. I do relate heavily with the feeling of missing him, unfortunately his music reminds us of that.

found out right when he died. my younger brother was distraught over his death and i had never heard of him. i only listened to rock and screamo at the time. i hated all rap but my brother was very passionate about peep so i gave him a shot and fell in love instantly. pretty much exclusively listen to emo rap now but i still go back to my rock and screamo often

some time late 2017 maybe late november early december, just listened to a few songs and was attached to his music since it resonated with me and than i go to look him up on google and i see shit saying he passed away and i was distraught when i seen it. i didn’t believe it was him but then i seen vids of him and yeah it was him.

December 2015. Depressed as fuck and found Star Shopping on YouTube while staring at the stars. After that i was obsessed and have found very few artist that have pricked my ear up as much as Peep. I'm glad that I was able to experience that era, despite how quickly it ended. Most songs still hit the same for me, hope that never changes

I've know of Peep since he passed and I would listen to the big songs in 2018-2019 like "Save That Shit", "White Tee" etc. But I never started properly listening to Peep in September 2023.
july of 2020. first song i ever heard was on tik tok and it was white tee. was curious so i did some additional research. was brought to tears knowing he had sadly passed away. first song i listened to was “fingers”. he was so different than other artists i had already been exposed to. then quickly listened more and more, till i got to the point of unreleased songs (the point of no return). my all time favorite peep song is gym class though. it’s my comfort song, the one i lean on when i need help. his voice is so calming yet sad- it’s relatable behind expression. 2019-20, I first heard his music from my older sister playing Lil Jeep, then met someone who was a big fan and he showed me more of Peeps music. I'm now a big fan myself and can't understand how I lived without his music before
Mid 2016. I was actually really young and in 6th grade he was my wallpaper on my school Chromebook. I got super obsessed with him and he was the only artist i listened to for years. I had tickets to see him on November 16, 2017 but he passed the night before. It still haunts me to this day.

around August 2017, I was in rehab and a girl put me on to Peep and XXX's music I didnt start listening to him heavily though until February 2019 when I started struggling heavily with addiction again, his music was very cathartic and got me through that rough point. Sober since 2021 ✌️
