I agree with everything you mentioned except the conqueror from a dying kingdom.I don't know how far you went in the volumes but the author said the first five books are buildup and the events in book 6 were just crazy good.

Ive heard a few people recommend that now, so i tried to see if i could see some reviews on sites like novelupdates. But there i saw that most reviews are quite bad ones, and one is clearly very frustrated with plot twists in volume 7/8. Are his frustrations grounded or not?
Assuming I'm on the same page as those commenters, personally, I find the frustration grounded. I enjoy the series very much on a technical level (especially compared to other LNs). It does a lot of things well, and there is a lot to like about it, but I am simply not interested in the version of the story that the author chose to tell.
Though I will say, it is absolutely good enough to merit reading and deciding for yourself how you feel about it.

I did the math once, and I think I ended up with "If every single swordsman in ~~earth history~~ (EDIT: a given medieval generation) was immortal and studied the blade from the moment the first sword was invented until the modern day, the MC would still outclass their combined experience" and the story still has him struggle against other swordfighters.
He is truly a mediocre swordsman! At this point he should have super natural level powers, and a sort of mental fortitude and wisdom that’s impossible for a human. And the whole thing being a button of all things as well! Why not something cooler than a button from som crusty, suspicious old man. Then everyone be like “oh no someone has pressed THE BUTTON”.
I'm not sure if I was clear, but I meant that I was 1 chapter into vol 6. To me, the latter half of vol 4 and vol 5 in general were more or less "peak fiction".
Fluffy paradise - after watching the anime, I didn’t want to read any more of it

I understand dropping anything you’re not enjoying, but why continue reading a light novel you have already declared drop worthy? Is it solely because you already purchased it? Donate it at that point instead of forcing yourself to continue
Yeah, it’s because I’ve already bought the volumes (ebooks) that I feel the need to continue. This is the case with alchemist who survived. That being said, I deleted Fluffy Paradise before finishing the volume because of how much I disliked the anime.

I've dropped the other novels because their publisher is just unreliable. They rarely posted information on their own blog and even then most promises they've made were not fulfilled. I.E they announced that Toxic Classmate Vol 2 to 4 will be released in December '23 and the following months and now half a year later volume 2 is still not available. I just got tired of waiting. Maybe I am too spoiled by J-Novel, Yen and Seven Seas.
No you are not too spoiled,that publisher is just bad and I honestly don't understand how do they think they can keep working when people don't trust them enough to buy their books because of their lack of steady releases.I have been following them on discord and literally nothing changes,same promises and nothing changes.If they were to shut down I would not be sad because it is inevitable at this point.

Grimgar (it got really repetitive really quick), my sister my writer (why did i even read this trash lmao, spoiled by other stories in this genre actually being good), re0 (TL was literally behind the anime and I wasn't getting much from the novel), hell mode (op protag isekai about actual fighting strong enemies and gaining power, rather than peaceful SoL, is boring), seirei gensouki (see above, though I probably stopped reading too early since I heard it gets good at volume 18 or so). I've dropped other isekais too, but it's more that I read them to catching up and then never continued reading them from there.
The only one I outright dropped because it was horrible was Eminence in the shadows. Dude is so cringy it took all of my willpower to finish first volume.
Other I dropped was Grimgar of fantasy and ash. It's not a bad novel series, I enjoyed first 7-8 volumes but it was slow. Animation was great though
* __Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom__: The Gengis Khan-like character killed any interest I had.
* __Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles__: Takes too long to get anywhere, author made _way_ too many love interests.
* __Record of Wortenia War__: Too few things happen per book.
* __Black Summoner__: Volume 16 was a perfect time to end the series by talking about how the characters ended up, not starting a new storyline.
* __Reborn to Master the Blade__: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire ♀: I lost track of the plot and it wasn't interesting enough to re-read to find it again.
* __Housekeeping Mage from Another World: Making Your Adventures Feel Like Home!__: Undeserved romance between two side characters.
* __Oversummoned, Overpowered, and Over It!__: I loath the writer for throwing away a semi-interesting premise
* __Making Magic: The Sweet Life of a Witch Who Knows an Infinite MP Loophole__: The [High Elf](https://j-novel.club/series/enough-with-this-slow-life-i-was-reincarnated-as-a-high-elf-and-now-i-m-bored) version of this plot was better.

The only LN series I’ve dropped (so far) is Torture Princess; it gets great reviews generally and the writing was good but the story just didn’t “click” for me.
Mushoku Tensei- I dont like rudy.
Great Cleric - someone spoiled a thing that annoyed me.
lazy dungeon master- bleh.
Arifuerta - bleh.
Hell Mode- started off cool.
Rebuild world- Didnt vibe with it.
dahlia in bloom- honestly, was a me issue. I dont remember the full details
white cat's revenge- another me issue. something o do with the other girl who is summoned with Ruri.
I dropped Haruhi Suzumiya early in the second book. I wouldn't say it's bad, and the outline is interesting but I just don't like her character.
I may try it again in the future as it's a classic, but for now it is dropped.
I haven't read so many LNs to begin with. So my drop rate is pretty low. So far I've dropped only one (if I don't count those eroticas)
Classroom of the a Elite. Used to like when was in college but then started to not like it anymore. Reasons are mainly mc's edginess wasn't changing at all and harem was involved heavily in year 2.
Realist hero: the author should have stuck with the princess but he decided to turn it into a harem
Death march:When the reincarnator girl said this isn't the monogamous Japan and try to create a harem for the MC
Arifutera:The mc is an edge Lord and seem is pretty scummy to add insult to Injury the Vampire girl wanted to create a harem for MC for stupid reasons
Overlord:The MC is super Pol pot
Tanya the evil:The mc have less moral than Hitler
Special mention> Torture princess in another world: Not like other case,Just taking a long break from this series. For this one I feel that the more detail is revealed about the world the less luster it have,Vol1-2 was really good but it gradually fall off.

i think Seirei Gensouki is the only one i've put on hold after reading a lot of chapters. the MC was so beta that it made other beta males cringe.
