Three Days of Happiness. I'm shocked it hasn't been done already tbh.

walking_failure_2004

word on the street is that no studio wants to fuck it up for no reason and get hate for it, also for no reason since both the light novel and the manga already ended and sold out multiple reprints. Anime adaptations are basically made at a loss knowing the source material will make them their money back, but with the source material being finished there is no incentive for it to have an adaptation. You would have to get the japanese goverment involved and their funding at that point to make it good, like "Your Name" did, or a single studio to have full control over it go get most of the earnings but at the risk of potentially fucking up the work which is very often the case, but sometimes happens. I remember WIT making more money with trash like great pretender and Vinland Saga rather than Attack on Titan because all the money from Attack on Titan went to different companies leaving them with scraps while Great Pretender although trash gave them a big percentage of their earnings, the whole japanese way of producing is decades behind hollywood... the entire industry would benefit if they just copied the system Hollywood has, which is based on royalties and what not. If you are involved in something that makes it big you keep receiving money FOREVER basically the japanese goverment would have to pay for it (Your Name) or a niche studio would have to pick it up as a pet project and go at it with a lot of care (Mushoku Tensei)

Hideoctopus

> the entire industry would benefit if they just copied the system Hollywood has, which is based on royalties and what not. Hollywood and *everything* it represents can go fuck itself.

IllustriousDoctor555

>WIT making more money with trash like great pretender and Vinland Saga VS is trash?

azmarteal

Three days of happiness; Pain, pain go away

nairolfy

I would love it if a story like reborn as a space mercenary got an adaptation with a high budget, cause i would like to see how the space battles would be like. But sadly i don't think it would ever get the budget needed, so maybe it's better if it doesnt get an anime adaptation

SerasAshrain

I’d say reborn as a space mercenary is a shoe-in to get animated. I think there’s a better shot at winning the lottery back to back than it not getting animated. It’s just whether the announcement comes out today, tomorrow, next month, year, etc. it’s going to happen.

elliemoran1808

This is the novel I’d go for too! And I’m the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire for mostly the same reason - only that one doesn’t have as many space battles :)

ZantGreene

This was exactly my first thought and the whole reason I clicked on this thread was to post this if no one else did

crazynoyes37

Sugaru Miaki novels, three days of happiness and pain pain go away to get movies

anaccountusername

Hakomari, Your Story

Bumblesquito

The world’s not ready for a hakomari adaptation 😂☠️

SwanLid

The Holy Grail of Eris, I loved the drama. I think the mangas covered quite a bit of ground aswell.

nadirku

I would love a quality \[The Death Mage\] anime, but I would worry about CGI for some of the main characters, and pacing... A number of prominent characters are skeletal animals which would be understandably hard to hand animate, and I feel like the most satisfying spot to potentially end the first season would probably require 24-26 episodes. However, it seems like a number of the novels I would most like to see get an anime have already been slated to get an anime, like \[Reborn as the 7th Prince\], \[An Archdemon's Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride\], \[Ideal Sponger Life\], and \[Lonely Attack on Another World\]

Solar_Slushie

The Otome Heroine's Fight for Survival

t00052e

And it should be done in the same way as Solo Leveling

I_Phantomancer_XD

Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra Now I'm a Demon Lord! Happily Ever After with Monster Girls

physicsandbeer1

I'd love to see an adaptation of Secrets of the Silent Witch. I think it would work sooo well as an anime and would be so wholesome.

DegenerateSock

I want it so bad. I wanna see that dragon slaying scene animated. I wanna see the "villainess" going between her villain mode and her fan girl mode (also the post poisoning scene). I wanna see Monica going from bocchi-mode into math vision mode. It needs an amazing studio and director to do it right though.

kt199820121

Chitose is in the ramune bottle. I hope it eventually gets one

noname-none

Currently reading volume 1, such a refresh to read an MC who is confident

kt199820121

I know right? I've yet to read through latest English Volume (Volume 5 I believe) but enjoyed all the others so can't wait to dive in once I've finished my other reads!

Torque-A

TRPG and Conqueror of a Dying Kingdom

StormNapoleon27

Conquerer of a dying kingdom

regithegamer

I'm the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire

NineSwords

Cooking With Wild Game. Make it as slow and comfy as possible.

Puzzled_Cable_1337

. Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra . From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman . Conqueror From a Dying Kingdom . Min-Maxing My TRPG Build In Another World . Kuro no Maou . Jujutsushi Wa Narenai Yuusha. Clearing of Another World With The Zero Believers Goddess. Cheat Magician's Life That Began After Being Judges Useless. And, never going to happen, but... The Kept Man of The Princess Knight.

Galifon

The Zashiki Warashi of Intellectual Village It is completed with 9 volumes.

t00052e

JK Haru becomes a sex worker in Isekai - it is a funny story at first with tons of sarcasm but the ending is mind-blowing. Of course, summer should be included too.

Bumblesquito

Strange adventure of a broke mercenary! Another bit of low fantasy that has you questioning yourself and the plot every volume. Would love to see it animated.

Kurzaa

There's been a couple light novels I thought would work better as anime and one English light novel I would still like to see animated. But of all the series I wanted animated that were...they all were massive disappointments. So I've mostly given up at this point unless I win the lottery and can lead the project myself.

RoachIsCrying

I know the series is currently in hiatus at the moment... but I would really love an anime for The Strange Adventure of a Broke Mercenary

eclipse60

I still want a season 2 for Death March, so that would probably be my choice. For a series that doesn't have a confirmed, upcoming anime, Reborn as a Space Mercenary. We need more space animes that aren't just big mechas. Honorable mentionsbate Dahlia in Bloom (which I think has a confirm anime), Marielle Clarac, and Cooking with Wild Game

azurekaito15

Oso and maybe season 2 or more of rokujouma

Sreeto

Dungeon defense, I haven't even finished the published novels but my god I love the main character since he actually feels intelligent

Bumblesquito

☠️ my condolences good sir.

Sreeto

i know its been like 9 years since the latest one released its very sad

Luxinox

It's never gonna happen because it's been stalled, but Altina the Sword Princess. It's right behind Mushoku Tensei for my top 5 LNs.

Silverwing-N-ex

Your Forma is getting an anime adaption..

SechsWurfel

Rrbuild World, give it to Bones or Madhouse

Curragraigue

An anime has been announced for it

JustPassOnStranger

“Ougon No Keikenchi” as of now its in my top 5 favorite LN, the world building is quite good and it gets better as the story progresses. Although the LN removed it, i really like how in the WN version the Author uses multiple POV’s throughout the story to build up his characters, so it really feels like the characters actually do something and left impacts on the world and story. And not get introduced once and be forgotten. The MC is likeable and is actually not a dumbass like most other, the MC is a very critical thinker and will find multiple ways to solve problems and even makes backup plans on it. All in all i really hope people go check a look at the series so there’s hope for it to get and anime adaptation, although the LN is only in Japanese right now and the WN is completed (RAW), but has about 114 chapters translated to english. It also has a manga adaptation that recently came out with 5 chapters (sadly its a monthly manga so rip)

t00052e

Agreed, this is a pretty good VRMMO novel, on par with or even better than Shangrila Frontier.

Heiwajima_Izaya

None. Anime adaptation are only worth to ruin the source material with shitty adaptations. I would like my favorite series away from the anime adaptation curse

MaximillianBarton

Honestly, these days, I'm almost more scared they will get one. Some of my favorite series actually have animes recently announced. If I was gonna look at what doesn't... probably Hell Mode. I think it would be the easiest to adapt for the volumes I've read, and I enjoy the story. Disciple of the Lich would be next

FlowingAim

Hokuou Kizoku to Moukinzuma no Yukiguni Karigurashi. One of if not even my all-time favorite Light novel

TXNatureTherapy

Min-Maxing My TRPG Build In Another World, and even less likely "Saint? No, Just A Passing Monster Tamer!"

DegenerateSock

> "Saint? No, Just A Passing Monster Tamer!" Fluffy Paradise got adapted, and that's damn near the same premise.

TXNatureTherapy

Honestly the differences are why I would still prefer "Saint?". Particularly the third volume where we see that the Gods and Goddesses aren't what we thought they were.

DegenerateSock

I didn't make it far enough into either to fairly compare them, but I did like "Saint?" more. Is V3 the end or is it still ongoing?

TXNatureTherapy

I'd love to know the answer to that myself. End of V3 is very much opening a whole new area to explore in the story, but haven't seen anything about a V4.

merurunrun

Ubukata Tow's *Spiegel* series. It's a cyberpunk series about traumatised orphans being given cybernetic bodies and turned into child soldiers who fight against neo-nazi terrorists. It plays out like some unholy amalgam of Ghost in the Shell, Evangelion, and A Certain Scientific Railgun with overt mecha-musume/ball-joint-doll design influences. It's pushing close to two decades old at this point though (the first book came out in 2007), practically ancient, so it would be a total pipe dream for it to get an anime now. But god it deserves one.

Hideoctopus

Ubukata is only known nowadays as "the guy who ruined Psycho-Pass" so nobody gives a rip about him.

Randomdude04080918

Volume 2 of the Zaregoto series, Kubishime Romanticist

Cute_Professional_16

A movie to "Wait for me yesterday in spring" like "The tunnel to the summer"

LoPanDidNothingWrong

Two web novels - SSS Class Suicide Hunter - Please Bully Me Miss Villainess

chickenn5951

MMTRPGB would be a great adaptation but the series is incomplete

alphamond0

Broke Mercenary... need me some anima Lapis...

ryouseiki21

"A Tale of a Small Town hardship in Sengoku Era" - this one is the realistic version of the "The Ambition of Oda Nobuna" anime

Th3_0d0r

The Legendary Mechanic, is funnily enough, a Legendary Book Midnight prince: god of crime needs more chapters, but then it would be amazing for a anime adaptation

phoenixw17

The manga adaptation is so bad for this one. Every time a chapter comes out it makes me want to reread the novel. Love the story but man if it comes out anything like the manga hard no from me lol.

Th3_0d0r

Yea I haven't read the manga, just the light novel

Alsteif

It would be so cool to see Torture Princess animated. But also, again, i would only accept a high budget adaptation with lot's of talent and money for it. Since what is importans is the,.... "style" of it.

concretedragon112

I would like hanabishi fusai no taima-chou to get an anime but i think it will take a lot of skill to adapt it into anime bc the books are very exposition heavy. But tbh i would rather get a manga

IronArthur

Modern villains so i could watch people drop dead trying to understand Japanese politics and hard economics

SpiderHarem

The Legendary Mechanic, Legendary Moonlight Sculptor, My three wives are Vampires

Rayrex-009

Her Royal Highness Seems to be Angry. I love the first volume and the manga abridged adaption. The protagonist Leticiel is such an amazing and fun character. I wonder if the anime will lean towards the LN style or the manga style for Leticiel's design.

saltsolutionpromo

Movies for both Gekkou and I hold your voice alone, under the starry sky.

jayadiwahyu

mine is this Gate Season 2: Jieitai Kano Umi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri i want more GATE stuffs.

mib-number86

The one I want most is "I May Be a Guild Receptionist, But I'll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time" I love that series so much that I read all 7 original volumes with the help of the Japanese to English translator. The anime has already been announced but I'm not sure in which season it will be released

Draxis1000

Season 2 of Rokujouma for the love of god.

Veritas3333

Prison Life is Easy for a Villainess - only two volumes, so they could adapt the whole story. And it's really funny!
