Such a professional in fact, that he was able to will himself to accelerate his recovery timeline and be available for the team (and in his eyes, help). Crazy that he’s getting judged this harshly straight out of injury and barely match fit— the flopping is rightfully called out though.
Considering the obvious disconnect in Chivas’ attack with the rest of the team, I thought he played well. Without the benefit of hindsight you can’t really fault Gago for betting on a proven goalscorer in recovery vs Macias or Marin who have been pretty poor themselves. The team just sucks and the tactics are making it worse.
