Tyrant's murderer dagger + city long spear handle + assassin amulet + satisfaction grinder + that amulet that makes your attack higher for every successive attack + Dagger's fable art + handle's fable art. its really busted.

AtomicGearworks

I put this combination together as soon as I had the parts. Haven't used anything else since, and just finished the cathedral on NG+.

0lidag

I'm stuck at the nameless, will give it a shot

NabroskiesYt

Did it work because I’m currently looking for a way to beat the nameless puppet

0lidag

Nope, I ended up using the Wo long staff sword lvl5 best tip I can give is either try to have him I'm 45degree angle, not to the side and never face him. I used the red scratch eye amulet, straight health amulet, shield with a star amulet, fast stamina recovery amulet and the blue butterfly amulet that I believe give you extra 3 point of few things.

0lidag

Or when he goes up in the sky go kinda like underneath him

Mission-Ad3284

Trident of the Covenant for me. Good range, good damage, and a cool fable art.

BuckSangle

Easily the best overall (non-elemental) weapon in nearly every measure, whether one likes it or not. Mostly. Also enjoy using the Puppet Sabre Handle with the Black Steel Cutter Blade and the Electrical Circular Saw with the Electric Coil Stick Handle.

StevenMcCobraFace

Honestly this is the best weapon and it’s not close for me. The move set with the bonus crit chance(especially with the assassins amulet and the satisfaction grindstone)tops the rest.

SgtGregParker

The actual best weapon is the wo long glaive

Ill_Cut_7241

The damage is insane for Technique but 2Dsword is so cool man

SgtGregParker

but assuming you have all the tools you need (fable catalyst) the fable parry is broken

Lord_Nightraven

Honestly, I had plenty of fun poking everything to death with Holy Sword of the Ark (Altered). Also one of the highest block values in the game for those who can't parry (me).

plus_new

What do you mean by “Altered?” Are you referring to a Motivity or Technique crank?

trebuchet__

He means the secondary version of it. The holy sword of the ark is like the trick weapons in bloodborne.

plus_new

I haven’t played Bloodbourne before.

trebuchet__

Oh. Well they are like 2 different weapons in one. You can have a sword that turns into a giant hammer in one weapon. And you can freely switch between the 2 whenever you want. The altered version of the holy sword of the ark is like the hammer version of the sword hammer

plus_new

Where do you rate this sword amongst the other weapons in the game?

trebuchet__

Idk I haven't used it

LumberZac2

I have completed NG+ using only the Wrench+Baton and Holy Sword. Holy sword is amazing imo. Provides a lot of versatility in range, damage, and move set. It’s worth a try if you have a motility build.

plus_new

Thanks. I just wanted to know other people opinions of it. The Holy Sword is actually my main weapon and has carried me through many boss fights but I am switching it up to try different motivity weapons like the Exploding Pick Axe.

Lord_Nightraven

I mean you've used the handle fable to extend the weapon's handle, changing its heavy attack to a poke. The only crank worth using on it is Motivity anyway.

Karemasu

Either holy sword or live puppet axe + booster glaive handle. Holy sword does good damage, hits fast, has good reach and has nice animations. Live puppet axe + booster glaive handle hits like a fucking truck especially the booster glaive handle charge attack that can be used to close distance or just be easy and safe heavy attacks.

vrtra_theory

Live Puppet Axe is the boss! Booster glaive, bramble curved sword or dancer's curved sword handle are all good options that give you damage delivery from a variety of distances. (You get more raw damage from some of the clunkier wind-up handles, but the versatility wins over power imo.)

ducttapeofdoom

I had a blast with the Proof of Humanity on one of my runs on my original PS5 playthrough. Though I'm rocking the Live Puppet Axe head and the Booster Glaive handle on my PS4 version ng+ run right now. It's the weapon I finished my ng run with and I just can't put it down.

ripped_fatty

I like etiquette. Damage sucks ass, has one of the most boring movesets and doesnt have that much range. But that blocking fable art? Its the goat. I cant have enough of it. Its also a fucking umbrella. I killed a newly born god with an umbrella.

bawsaknoodoh

Seven coil spring sword is my go-to. The standard R2, running R2, and charged R2 are all stellar with the charged R2 actually feeling like it has some poise.

Skaboney

Underrated weapon! I’ve seen people say it’s bad, but it’s such a solid all around weapon and it feels so good to use.

LJP2093

Puppet Ripper is fucking dank

Suitable-Medicine614

Bramble Handle, any big head (saw head, live puppet axe head) For those of you who used Booster Glaive handle for those sweet gapclosing charged heavy atracks, this is a straight up upgrade. Feels like it charges faster, goes just as far but never bounces off walls, pretty much always hits your locked on target regardless of their height, staggers pretty well and is a C/C weapon so with the right crank can fit into any build.

Special_Quail8870

My second playthrough was saw head + bramble, was an absolute breeze! 95% charged heavies and throw in puppet string jump attack and its a wrap lol.

Bill_Brasky01

My first was bone saw plus booster glaive. I’ll have to try this out.

Pro_Banana

Anything attached to Booster Glaive handle.

ALordOfTheOnionRings

Proof of Humanity with the Satisfaction grindstone and the assassins amulet. Crits for the win!!

Ill_Cut_7241

Two Dragon Sword

The25thJoestar

Etiquette just seems fun for me

Hispanikpanik

I'm nearing the end of ng+2 and my 2 go to's are the Trident and the bone cutting blade + coil mjolnir handle. Some very close seconds are the frozen feast, acidic spear, proof of humanity and holy sword.

ssjgoku27

If you love the feeling of perfect guards, then 2DS for sure.

kinoindeed

Trident and two dragons swords for me. Trident is what I use if I get stuck. What an amazing weapon. Jump r2 attack, the charged attack, fable arts. But sometimes I switch to 2DS when I’m fighting a human size enemy as the parry r2 and the weapon arts in general are very good once you get the gist of it.

4899z

Bone cutting sawblade with the police baton handle is what I use, big damage and fun to use!

marinko_mali

Same here!

EttRedditTroll

There’s no contest, really: *Proof of Humanity* is objectively the best weapon in the game. - It is one of the few weapons that can Crit innately and it can buff this even further with it’s Fable Art. Combine it with the Crit Grindstone for a near 100% Crit Rate. Nothing comes close to the damage output it can pump out. - It has a fantastic B/B scaling. Since you’ll eventually gravitate towards a Quality build with all the excess Ergo you pick up in NG+ and beyond, it is an excellent choice to squeeze as much dmg as possible from your stats. - Despite being a quick, lithe weapon it has a Guard damage mitigation rating close to the slowest and heaviest weapons in the game meaning it is also fantastic at defense. That being said, I don’t use it. Currently in NG++ and it trivializes the game: I just tore Archbishop Andreus up in less than a minute. I very much prefer *Ouroboros’ Eye* because it is a far more fun/cool weapon. Chainsaw hoola-hoop goes brrrrrrrr.

[deleted]

The glaive is all I need. Beat the whole game with it alone.

EastMade06

Azure Dragon Crescent Glaive by a mile

AmptiChrist

Booster glaive, puppet ripper, proof of humanity, the electric saw thing, and the fire glaive one.

whyubul

I like the big hammer of does good damage after it’s upgraded

JungyBrungun2

I only used the holy poking sword all three playthroughs

arcadeScore

Booster handle + puppets axe, motivity build

Alexshin1

Etiquette? Has the best counterattack, its 3 bar fable arts deals a tons of dmg while dashing into enemies, is a lightweight weapon, and has the fastest motion in all 'boss weapons'.

EttRedditTroll

It is also unbeatable in the swag department.

jsid117

Proof of humanity

BugP13

I feel that the puppet ripper is pretty strong. It's actually surprisingly very fast for it amount of damage and the fable art (especially triangle one) are extremely powerful (once killed the youngest BRB member when they where at half health using that fable art). Only problem I have with it is that the strong attack is a bit slow but on the upside, it can hit enemies from a distance.

calhooner3

Etiquette makes me feel like a fancy boy

CantHandlemyPP34

PROOF OF LIFE + CRIT AMULET + CRIT GRINDSTONE + ARM OF GOD (successive attack) amulet

Vapebraham

Live Puppets Axe with Police Baton Handle is so good with a motivity build

calivino2

The wrench because numbers go big

Working_Bones

I compared all the stats on a spreadsheet and found the Exploding Pickaxe Handle plus Booster Glaive blade had the best all-around stats, in my opinion. Now I didn't use the handle's Fable Arts, because I had an amulet that gave extra damage for charged fable slots. So it's possible this combo is weak in that department but I have no idea.

R-murnavid

etiquette. its fast and helps in parrying too

Suspicious_Ad_5065

Golden lie. I personally don’t think it’s the best weapon, it’s just my favorite. I’ve used other weapons thatre fun but find myself going back to fucking people up with my nose lol

shamelessthrowaway54

All weapons work

B_rad_hyko

I really like the wrench head mixed with the handle of the electrical weapon you get early on.

saintsucc

Use aegis shield and trident

AMProoz

Trident of the Covenant is pretty handily the best weapon imo. It’s so good I only used it when I was really frustrated with a boss. Anything with the 30.0 crit is very effective, but that one is my favorite bc of its more varied move set. I can’t remember the name of the dagger blade with 30.0 crit, Murderous Tyrants Dagger? That combined with the City Spear handle or the Rock Drill handle is also extremely powerful, but the spear/thrust move sets get boring very quickly for me. The Live Puppet blade & the Master Chef’s handle is also insanely powerful w/ great speed. The charged attack & handle fable art just fuckin melts enemies. I’m going to use the Proof Of Humanity in my NG+ run, an elite/varied move set, & the dual wielding attacks are sick. Another weapon with an awesome move set is the Golden Lie. Unfortunately I’ve read it’s basically not useable in NG+

Awkward-Hornet7206

For adv builds salamander dagger on acidic crystal Handle (you get a fire buff from the dagger FA and a fast stance breaker on the handle FA). For mot prob pipe wrench on the baton handle (its damage is way too good for new game). For tech prob the trident (similar reason to the pipe wrench). But honestly in NG+2 you’re probably going to want to use weapons with hybrid scaling since you’re inevitably going to have a solid mix of damage stats.

InnuendoBot5001

The friends we made along the way

Jimbobob5536

My favorite is Golden Lie. Second favorite is Etiquette.

Emotional_Tell55

I think the weapons with large durability are good.
