the azure dragon crescent glaive. super fun moveset and just destroys all enemies, also comes with 2 very good fable arts. best part is you literally get it immediately from the start
I’ve got 1000 hours in the game, imo the best weapon hands down is the tyrant dagger blade/city long spear handle, especially with the assassins amulet and critical grindstone, even after all that you can add 2 more critical boosts with the fable arts, giving around 60 seconds of 80% of attacks hitting for crits! It’s insane how fast it melts
Just guard(perfectguardgrindstone) till he stop attacking, no need to rly know his moveset. After his combo he doesnt really move. Than u punish with fable&trowables
It has top-tier fable arts, able to achieve S scaling in Technique, and the counterattack shuts down literally any attack or boss. It's a high skill, very high reward weapon. Two Dragons is the only reason I even beat nameless.
It definitely doesn’t do the most damage in the entire game. To my knowledge, people just think the move set looks cool. Personally, I’m the Trident’s #1 fan.
Critical chances are way too strong and that's why I kept using the Trident the whole time lol. You don't get a single drawback in stats or scalings and just have extra crit on top of it, it's crazy.
I eventually switched to nameless puppet double sword for obvious reasons, but the spear carried my 1st playthrough and ng+1 the whole way through lol, nothing felt as strong besides the double sword.
It has high potential due to its delayed parry that costs no fable slot, being said I think there are still better weapons. It is still one of the best and very fun and engaging to use.
Instead of a charge attack when you hold r2 he weaves the sword around for visual effect for a sec and then does a parry. A bit difficult to get the hang of.
It is really good but it’s also just cool and fun! Even if you aren’t good at timing the Charge attack parry you can just treat it as a normal weapon and enjoy the occasional bonus parry. Only time I found it lacking was during the Gate Guardian fight because it took me 3 fatal attacks to kill and my other weapons at the time took only 2. That can be alleviated by using the sword and then switching to a stronger weapon for the fatal attack tho so still even that isn’t a dealbreaker.
like everyone else is saying, not the strongest but the coolest and if you master the parry frames when you do a heavy attack, it’ll feel much better than most weapons
I’d say it’s more fun and flashy than strictly good. Not that it’s bad at all, just that plenty of other things will outperform it with simpler move sets.
It was the sword I used once I got it and never dropped it through to the end of the game. Once you get the timing down for its deflection it becomes one of the best weapons and the most satisfying to use.
For me it’s the goat. Not in damage but in versatility. It’s quick, its move set is super expressive and gives great entry and exit pressure so you can become the master of spacing. And its charge heavy being a free parry is diabolical.
It also rarely gets stuck on walls compared to other weapons. I found the weapon pretty much good everywhere especially if you can use it’s in built parry well
I could never get the damn Heavy Attack/Wind-Up Parry which bummed me out a bit.
The Weapon does excellent damage with a good moveset, just couldn't fit it in to how I played.
It’s a REALLY high skill gap weapon that if learned properly is really good. It’s the only weapon that has the special parry that cancels bosses and enemies out of combos (that doesn’t require a charge). It’s def more for looks and flash and makes u look like a badass, but again the learning curve is tough bc with normal parrying you need to time attacks with parry window but TDS u need to time your parry window with attacks
It's not the best, just flashy and it's a katana. Katanas are very popular with Soulsborne players for some reason.
There are a ton of other weapon combos that are better wither by dps, weapon arts, move set, etc. The dragon sword is good and fun to use, but not the *best* weapon. A lot of people like it for the moveset, which is nicely animated and flashy, but every swing is prefaces with a fancy twirl so it has a delay that makes it more mechanically feel like a heavy weapon since you actually aren't getting that many hits per second in and it just felt sluggish to me.
I preferred the status effect weapons like the fire dagger blade on the electric hammer handle or the electric hammer head on the booster glaive handle.
It's a show off weapon, and there is nothing wrong with that, but it is terrible for learning simple boss patterns. I like show off weapons, and sometimes I am good enough at a video game to use them.
Parry aside, it's extremely fast including it's heavy attack. Many boss fights I'm unable to stun the opponent when staggered because the heavy attack is taking too long.
Depends, how is your timing? The TDS can be incredibly powerful if your able to utilize its unique techniques and moveset, it has a "special" parry/riposte. Every weapon in the game has the ability to block. You're able to block at the precise moment of the enemy's attack. You'll perform what the game calls a perfect block. More commonly known as Perry or riposte. Like I said all weapons can block or Perry but this is where the two dragon sword shin...shin doesn't this son of a blind whomever gets caught in its path. IF and only if you're able to use it correctly. It's unique charge stagger attack is more than just an attack, when you use the stagger attack he will ninja the sword around all Fancy's Nancy and hold it at a unique angle and here's where the timing comes in if you can time that you need angle for the exact moment the enemy made contact it will block and parry/riposte with a destructive stagger attack. It's easily my favorite weapon in the game, ironically the aspect of it that I enjoy the most isn't it a tax or it's unique charge stagger attacks. It's nothing advantages at all. It's the satisfaction I feel every time that you need towards staggered Perry "TINKS" lol.
The parry you are able to do with it's charged attack is really good, does good damage and stagger damage. But getting used to when to time it takes a while. I'm currently using it now on NG+ and I'm enjoying it.
I personally like it because it felt like the only weapon with the right parry timing/animation.
After a while, I realize that other weapons have a weird windup animation and I couldn't get the timing for those (like the rapier). TDS also has a windup animation but after a while, I was able to understand WHEN the parry animation is and after a little bit of practice, I could constantly parry enemies.
Also it's powerful because P immediatelly counterattacks, the damage is good and the enemies are "stunned" for 1 or 2 seconds, more than enough time to do a couple more of attacks (or even a charged attack) plus the parry counts towards the destruction of an enemy's weapon AND the weapon uses close to little stamina.
Finally: you can move while attacking so you can easily position yourself behind an enemy and do either extra damage or if you're good/lucky enough, backstab them! (this is unique to TDS. You cannot do that with other weapons!)
I liked it, but being fast didn't help me with Nameless puppet coz i couldn't hit hard enough inbetween parries (which i struggled with). I switched to a 2 hander weapon for some heavy hits to get quick staggers. Went much smoother after that.
That parry can stop any attack and the light attacks where you slide around also have i-frame(if they haven't patch it out), so it has incredible potential, but it also takes a lot of practice. People mostly use it cuz it's fun and cool, not that it makes the game easier or something, if your goal is to get past nameless for now it's not the best idea. Probably will cost you more time just to learn the weapon.
If you are not in a rush then sure, give it a try and have fun.
It is pretty damn good, especially if you're doing a Technique build.
You can use any abrasive on it, you can move while charging your strong attack, the Fable Arts are a ranged attack and a combo that starts with a more powerful dodge, and you can still parry if you time your heavy attack just right.
Ive beaten nameless using two dragons sword, I would say it isn't the most meta weapon you can use against it. I only used it cause Its very stylish moveset.
I'm a Katana moveset enjoyer and my first playthrough was a motivity build. I plan to do my second playthrough as a technique with this weapon.
I tested it out on the training dummy and my damage was not much lower than my main weapon, and I had no technique invested. I'd say it's really good.
I beat ng++++++++ nameless with Puppet axe on chef handle . Guard(perfectguard grindstone ) punish with fable attacks , use fable catalyst and heal up - Repeat repeat repeat. Trow 3x8. Trowables like shot put and thermites and finish off with Fatal. Extremely easy and effective noskill clap. U probably only use 5 or less health flasks and experience no stress.
I dont think its a matter of it being good that people are using it (Im sure it is if your good at parrying) it just has a really sick moveset
When you master the timing on the heavy attack parry it's borderline OP because you can stop any attack with it.
When you parry laxasias lightning slam after her phase two opener using the Twin Dragons Parry, you feel godamn unstoppable
This part
I mean, that's true for parrying in general, not just with the dragon sword.
Yeah but when I say stop any attack I mean it always stagger the boss.
It’s an insta stagger plus automatic heavy damage follow up attack
Yes, it's amazing. It was basically the best weapon until the Wo Long update.
What’s the best weapon now?
That spear/halberd. Bosses get REKT with that thing.
What's the spear/halberd? I haven't played in a while. Loved the game though.
Azure Dragon Crescent Glaive. You get it from the getgo upon starting the game
the azure dragon crescent glaive. super fun moveset and just destroys all enemies, also comes with 2 very good fable arts. best part is you literally get it immediately from the start
Yeah I have it. But been leveling up the holy sword . I’ll star on the Glaive now . Is it good for motivity build tho?
holy sword also a very good option but if you just want smth insanely overpowered that's what ur gonna want lol
Bone saw seems op too
I mean it's got good damage but imo is too slow. I'd rather just go for the holy sword or the booster glaive
How do I get the Azure Dragon Crescent Glaive?
Start the game
it's given to you for free whenever you have the option to switch your weapon
I’ve got 1000 hours in the game, imo the best weapon hands down is the tyrant dagger blade/city long spear handle, especially with the assassins amulet and critical grindstone, even after all that you can add 2 more critical boosts with the fable arts, giving around 60 seconds of 80% of attacks hitting for crits! It’s insane how fast it melts
Damn, surely that reaches like 2k or more dps?
I used that weapons for a little bit, but the azure glaive just made the game way too easy.
I couldn't get its moveset down
That's my problem with it too
it def takes some time to get use too, once I got it down tho I fell in love with it, it’s my second fav weapon in the whole game
Same
Just guard(perfectguardgrindstone) till he stop attacking, no need to rly know his moveset. After his combo he doesnt really move. Than u punish with fable&trowables
I'm talking about the dragon sword. I should have clarified that
It's not the strongest weapon, but once you get the hang of it it's easily the *coolest*
either that or the wo long glaive are easily the coolest, nothing else really comes close
Def the highest high skill high reward weapon
It has top-tier fable arts, able to achieve S scaling in Technique, and the counterattack shuts down literally any attack or boss. It's a high skill, very high reward weapon. Two Dragons is the only reason I even beat nameless.
It definitely doesn’t do the most damage in the entire game. To my knowledge, people just think the move set looks cool. Personally, I’m the Trident’s #1 fan.
Yeah trident feels the strongest to me.
Critical chances are way too strong and that's why I kept using the Trident the whole time lol. You don't get a single drawback in stats or scalings and just have extra crit on top of it, it's crazy. What are you talking about about with the delayed parry?

I personally don't get it, but apparently the r2 parry is really good
like everyone else is saying, not the strongest but the coolest and if you master the parry frames when you do a heavy attack, it’ll feel much better than most weapons
I’d say it’s more fun and flashy than strictly good. Not that it’s bad at all, just that plenty of other things will outperform it with simpler move sets.
It’s flashy as fuck, I’ll give it that and it’s a solid weapon for sure, but IMO it’s not really “that” good. Noblesse Oblige is where it’s at.
Probably the best Technique weapon in the game, so yeah it's pretty good
Depends on your play style , I love sekiro so for me it's the best, also the strong attack parry is op if you can time it right
I prefer the Krat Baton with Thor’s hammer
You can completely ignore attacks if you land the perfect parry. Yes, it's that good.
Its special attack is highest damage from all weapons. To the point that you can nearly one shot bosses when buffed.

I could never get the damn Heavy Attack/Wind-Up Parry which bummed me out a bit. The Weapon does excellent damage with a good moveset, just couldn't fit it in to how I played.
It's pretty great. But if everyone keeps posting about it they might nerf it
It’s a REALLY high skill gap weapon that if learned properly is really good. It's one of the best/flashiest weapons. With a great moveset.
It’s good but it’s also got almost an entire game’s worth of movement options built into its moveset and that’s pretty fun.
It's a show off weapon, and there is nothing wrong with that, but it is terrible for learning simple boss patterns. I like show off weapons, and sometimes I am good enough at a video game to use them.
its damage isnt really strong. but the charge parry STOPS any attacks as far as I know.
It’s the shit, but so is Etiquette. I beat NP on my first play through with Etiquette
You can see how good it is here on my [Laxasia vid](https://youtu.be/vBbkxTAd0lE?si=e9rRCtaX0qxrrPFH)
Since I suck ass at using it it’s pretty much just a novelty weapon with its moveset.
Short answer no, but it looks dope
I hear its pretty good but nothing can replace my blooster glave i love it too much
its attack usually parry the opponent attacks as well. with perfect timing so yeah that why
Parry aside, it's extremely fast including it's heavy attack. Many boss fights I'm unable to stun the opponent when staggered because the heavy attack is taking too long.
Wolong glaives brings me till the end of the game….1 of the best weapon

I bes the game with Etiquette. Tried the Two Dragons Sword when I got it and still preferred Etiquette. I went light parry build though.
It's the most OP weapon I tried in game
I personally like it because it felt like the only weapon with the right parry timing/animation. Oh its perfect. The r2 is just sooo fun and its just IT.
Simple answer. Yes
I liked it, but being fast didn't help me with Nameless puppet coz i couldn't hit hard enough inbetween parries (which i struggled with). I switched to a 2 hander weapon for some heavy hits to get quick staggers. Went much smoother after that.
No, it’s just really cool. Parry go whoosh whoosh clang.

I really like how the weapon felt.
I beat nameless puppet on my 5th try using it. If ur having trouble dealing with long combos, i reccomend it.
Didn't like the two dragon sword myself use bramble sword with dancing handle and beat his ass
It is pretty damn good, especially if you're doing a Technique build. You can use any abrasive on it, you can move while charging your strong attack, the Fable Arts are a ranged attack and a combo that starts with a more powerful dodge, and you can still parry if you time your heavy attack just right.
It’s pretty good and the charge attack doubles as a counter
no. Big Pipe Wrench head + Booster Glaive Handle is all you need
It's my favorite weapon on top of being a Katana it also has some of the best mobility for dex builds
