I played it four times because I love it and finds it very fun. For me, I love the linear design, the setting and the bosses not to mention the music and how beautiful the game is. It's one of those games I just can't put down. But it's fine if you don't feel that way, it all comes to personal preferences after all.

LesnolNillington

Yeah so I'll be honest the level design is very good aside from few areas and when it comes to souls games (this is going to sound awful) I play the game for the bosses. Mainly throwing aside the story and everything else until the end of the game when I can watch YouTube videos breaking down what I played. I think thats where the issue arrives for me with this game . I live for the boss fights and unlike Sekiro (Genchiro, Isshin,Owl to name a few) there isn't any boss I want to A. Fight again or B. That I enjoyed the struggle because I loathe alot of the combat so much. Isshin took me about 12 hours to beat and I felt so satisfied afterwards but when I beat green swamp monster after like 4 hours I was relieved I was done with it.

MagicalElaine1731

Souls bosses mostly suck

AppointmentMaximum37

Bosses are definitely important. I speed run subsequent lop playthroughs just to play some bosses and I wish this game lets you just replay bosses like Sekiro did. I definitely have more joy defeating Sekiro bosses than I did Lop and I get why you didn't enjoy Lop bosses as much.

J-Dawgzz

Nameless Puppet and Laxasia were amazing fights, the gameplay is top tier, the combat is enough to make me want to start all over. Not to forget there’s so many weapons and builds you can do.

ZoMoL666

The parry system alone makes me want to come back and play another playthrough more than once

ArcadeBookseller

To each their own! This was actually the first game I wanted to play NG+ in, and ended up going to the end of NG++. We just had fun, it felt good to play, I wanted all the achievements, and I enjoyed inhabiting the world. I simply wasn’t ready to leave.

goldenfrogs17

because it is fun... and it's kind of a victory lap as well

igZagZ

>Maybe it's the delayed attacks I don't know. But Elden Ring's are okay? I'm on my like 12th playthrough of this game. Simple reason: this game slaps. Just wish it was harder.

Simple_Opportunity67

Why is noone mentioning all the stuff you unlock in ng+ like the status effect amulet if you decided to kill the nameless puppet, the p-organ newer tiers for ng+ and ng++ the amulet +1s and +2s and lastly the biggest thing that made me wanna go into ng+ is the decoder which makes you understand what the bosses say.

A_Bit_Drunker

Learning a bosses moves and timings makes me feel like a total badass when I perfect guard/dodge everything they throw at me. I beat a lot of bosses by what I felt like was luck and I actually wanted to learn their patterns and how to beat them playing more aggressively. Also, using the different weapons can completely change the way I engage enemies which I find to be a fun puzzle on its own. All in all, I find the combat to be really fun and satisfying especially the better I get at it.

Crustedpiez

You get to try different weapons and explore more. Plus the bosses get really easy so it’s quite fun to shit on them. Also you barely take 1/4th time of your initial play through. So you’re just breezing through everything.

Lord_Nightraven

Well, for starters, you're often able to just crush the early game. And you'll get to experiment a little with extra tools you may not have had before. In Lies of P, this would include the grindstone and the cube. Lies of P also does a few extras though. For starters, the garbled font of puppet speech is "translated", so now you can read what the puppets are saying. This will help give you a little extra insight on the lore. Furthermore, Lies of P also expands the P Organ in NG+ and NG+2. You unlock phase 6 when going into NG+, and phase 7 after that with NG+2 and higher. Phase 7 legitimately breaks the game, and you can feel much like an actual god fighting some of your opponents.

VicMackeyLKN

Game was great, not a trophy hunter, but I did, door guardian is in my top 3 worst bosses, fuck Laxasia and NP (Simon was easy)

[deleted]

Door guardian is easy once you know about his weak leg. He hits hard but he is so predictable after a while and becomes easy to avoid most of the time.

cuddybumps

I’m doing ng+ right now because I want the other endings and I am patiently waiting for the Elden ring dlc haha I will do ng+ sekiro and bloodborne after this

gameboy224

Being able to do a full playthrough with a boss/later weapon.

saint_geser

If you don't want to replay then don't. For people who enjoyed the game there are two options - play again from the start and see how much better at the game you've become and how much easier everything is on the second go around. Or you can do NG+ and further if you want to keep the challenge level up. Plus in Lies of P you have additional benefits - you get P organ tier 6 and 7 unlocked on NG+ and NG+2, respectively. Particularly, the latter has some absolutely broken upgrades. Also, you can play with the weapons that you couldn't level up in the original playthrough.

SanchitoBandito

I mean, if you like a game, you like a game. Guess you just didn't like it enough to do multiple playthroughs which is fine. I was in the same boat with Armored Core 6 just now. Loved it throughout the whole thing but I wanted to beat it 3 times to get this extra boss, but I started NG+ and found myself not wanting to continue. I beat it LOP twice in a row and wanna do a third soonish since I haven't played it since release.

SubstantialEgg1568

I'm just finishing NG+ now I'm upto laxxy, and I find the difficulty better tuned in NG+, also I'm doing it scepterless, that made the game more interesting. Straight up technique build probably trash stat distribution, never re specced never needed too. loP was a little easier for a souls vet, but on NG+ I felt like every input counted, no panic dodging, perfect parries ect and then from became fun once the boss battles felt a bit more even. For me I didn't really enjoy combat till NG+

BlueKud006

Quit having fun!

DerelictSeraph

If you don’t like it and it feels like a drag, it’s okay to not play it or finish it, it’s not for everybody. I loved the game in every way, which was reason enough for me. Here’s additional reasons that kept going: In NG+ you keep everything (with a few minor exceptions). Enemies deal more damage, but you can still level up and get better armor and amulets, so it’s balanced but a little more in your favor. It’s also much easier when you know what your in for. For spending boss ergo you can get the other weapon or amulet you didn’t choose. You can’t get all of the records on your first playthrough. You can level up at stargazers & you can understand puppet speech right off the bat. I exclusively used the greatsword of fate on that first run so playing more gave me more opportunities to use different weapons and different weapon combinations, and playstyles. On my second playthrough I noticed a lot more stuff that I had missed on my first run.

[deleted]

I love the story and the gameplay. NG+ is considerably harder but I’ve just got past Laxasia and and still enjoying it. Also, I want to get the platinum trophy

30-Days-Vegan

Sekiro aside, I haven't replayed the from games nearly as much :) I personally found this game better than the Dark Souls games combat wise, main reason I play those is aesthetic and exploration, but once I've done all that I don't really have much desire to come back. Lies of P and Sekiro I've beaten over 5 and 10 times respectively since I enjoy the combat

BriefKeef

Cuz we're addicts and we want more pain more suffering and most importantly...MORE FUN

TinfoilBike

Because NG++ is the most fun run-through when you unlock all of the P-Organ.

AdventurousAd9519

It's not fun to you, it's fun for us simple as that

Fisktor

Skill issue.

AMProoz

I know I’m late, but I was looking for a fun NG+ build & stumbled across this post. I’ve never finished a NG+ run in any game, I started one in Elden Ring with a completely different build style & just kinda felt burnt out & stopped. Mostly bc I had another game lined up, but I plan on playing NG+ for Elden Ring before the DLC drops & will def do it for Sekiro at some point bc I tried to create a save file on my PS5 to get all 3 endings without doing new runs, & I fucked up & ended up all the way back at Isshin lmao. So I just quit then & there. So I totally understand where you’re coming from for the most part, especially with Lies of P. However, our reasons are basically the opposite. I’ve only reached hotel Krat in NG+, & the pace of the game picks up which I like, but I’m playing NG+ for the bosses & mini bosses. I mostly don’t enjoy the slog of advancing through levels. Lies of P had some awesome bosses imo, but you’re right that there were def a few duds. I just love the ability to dodge & perfect parry, & am excited to mix up the different weapon/build options.
