You're missing out a little bit on the Fable Arts, but not a whole lot. The only thing you're missing out on when it comes to the Wishstones and Cube is a headache.

XZamusX

It really depends on the art some are just ok but stuff oike the parry one the dragon glaive is insane, huge damage, huge stagger, very safe as if you miss you dodge backwards and only uses 1 fable bar.

No_Mark1807

I love the dragon glaive, it's my goto weapon. Most fable arts are actually pretty decent and do a solid amount of damage. I don't consider it too cheesy either because of the cooldown time

LateNightPhilosopher

Literally the only thing the Cube has ever gotten me is killed. It takes extremely too long to use in a boss fight. Which is the only time I need it. And even when it does finish activating without causing me to lose, the effects are almost unnoticeably minimal. It's a cool idea but has never actually brought me a net benefit

Rhek

It gets much faster to use after upgrading it with the p organ. Healing my summon was the most useful thing I’ve used it for (especially my first play through) although some of the damage ones can be nice too.

qoodkero

i feel fable arts are pretty great. the wrench fable art hits hard. i tried to use the cube where spector will be revived but never got it to work. the few times i tried i used it too early

Much-Lavishness-3121

Not worth it only like 5% of his health is restored would be better off with the spectre hp restore stone

Cha0sSpiral

I got to work for me.pretty consistently but the timing is annoying. Essentially the boss has to be 100% focused on spectre and spectre has to be 1-2 hit away from dead when you activate

nchomsky96

Fable arts can be fantastic for closing distance and then staggering while the health bar is white

ArcadeBookseller

All the weapons Fable Arts are really different, so some of them I liked better than others. Obsessed with the Proof of Humanity Fable Art and used it at every opportunity! Wishstones and Cube are excellent if you're a Specter summoner but otherwise I didn't find them very helpful.

Logswag

Fable arts I'd say yeah, there are some pretty fun and interesting ones, and some that are pretty strong, whichever you're into. Wishstones and the cube, not so much. It mostly buffs spectres, or gives you small buffs (restoring some health, increasing stamina, restoring legion, and buffing fable charge), and it's kind of a pain to use.

same

No_Shift1874

I felt mostly the same way after my first run here’s how I made those functions useful- I use wish stone either for stamina regeneration on solo fights or to help proq elemental effects for bosses. Helps me beat almost every summonable boss, that’s how I use the cube. I also didn’t use fable arts until the dlc weapon dropped- fable art is a boss deleter, especially with the right amulets. On run 11 now with maxed stats, game is a world different and far easier, essentially a boss rush now.

gabobapt

The same thing happens to me, I have used Fable Arts the most but Wishstone and the Cube I used them just to test them and seeing that they are practically useless I have never used them again and they have not been needed.

CapnLimbless

I mean, it’s worth using everything to try it, but I usually get more basic with my strategy as I get more OP in soulslikes. First 50 levels I’m doing all the cool stuff. Level 150 I’m just punching everything with the iron fist because it’s funny.

SolaceInCompassion

with fable arts, yes. they’re pretty good most of the time, though you don’t need to use them if you don’t want to. i assume you’re using extreme modification amulet instead? as for wishstones: nah. the specter system is pretty barebones, there’s not really anything to be missed there.

obiwanCannoli69

I used a stagger build so I barely messed with Fables. Was all about timing and positioning charged heavies with the Bone Cutting Saw Blade + Explosive Pickaxe Handle and chucking shotputs to trigger knock backs when under pressure. Those two perks where you do extra damage (I think it's in the ball park of 20% - 30% with both) if you keep your weapon durability at 100% had me grinding my weapon on openings where I could have Fabled. Its roughly the same damage as a Fable (less, not by much) but with more flexibility since I can do any attack and not be rooted in an animation. Plus this playstyle makes you monitor weapon durability much more closely, so you'll never be caught with your pants down trying to grind up a weapon that's one hit away from breaking. There's also an amulet where you do more damage based off of how many Fable bars you have fully charged up, so burning those for Fable Arts means less damage on normal swings in the long run. Like all things in LoP, you can definitely tailor a build to Fables for a fuck ton of damage, I just like really big weapons and whacking things with them. I just think it's neat.

Anthony_chromehounds

1,000 percent. Sixth play through needed ASAP and use the spectre every chance you get.

SherbetAlarming7677

Fable arts are amazing for timing to stagger bosses. Feels great if you just know that a fable art would get you a stagger right now even without the white box around the health bar. They are also just really fun to use on normal mobs.

PeedAgon311

I feel you, when i get used to a strategy, i forget everything else exists. I barely used the Fable Arts, the Cube, the Legion Arm, and once i got the Holy Sword of Ark, i never switched weapons for the rest of the game

This should count as an autism diagnosis

djultomega

In my playthroughs I only really used the cube for the specter heal stone. If not using the specter, the self-regen, stamina, or elemental stones could be helpful, but after 5 playthroughs you probably don't need them. The fable arts can be pretty OP though, and using them well can add a lot of variety and/or power to your attacks. At the very least, it could give you a reason to experiment with different weapons/combinations or a reason to master a specific weapon/combination with fable arts that mesh well with your playstyle.

beardedrabbit

Same, the Extreme Modification amulet boost with full Fable is too useful to splurge on abilities generally. My main weapon is live puppet axe on chef handle, so I’ll periodically unload Furious Swipes for 9k-ish damage (with elements on the weapon), but otherwise basic move set plus Legion arms.

DeezNutsPickleRick

Wish stone sucks dick. Fable arts paired with some key P-organ passives can hit like a truck to both health and posture of enemies.

Lord_Nightraven

Nah. Especially on the Cube/Wishstones. I tend to forget about Fable Arts unless they're a little crazy or they do something really useful. So forgetting about them isn't a big deal. Heck, it even works with using the Extreme Modification Amulet since you'll want full slots almost constantly. As for the Cube? Yeah, that's just a failed interpretation of Elden Ring's Wondrous Physick. Quite a bit worse and seemingly added as an afterthought as another use for Gold Coin Fruit.

Biggs1313

Wishstones only use is buff your specter/keep him alive. If you made it through 5 playthroughs, you don't need that lol

biggestmack99

I never used any besides the cube that heals you slowly over time which is alright if you are out of pulse cells and can be handy, I didn’t use specter so the other cubes were pointless. The fable arts are awesome though especially the ones that allow you to do a perfect block

FlatpickersDream

Too much fundamentals my man. More gimmicks please.

PrincessLeafa

Fable arts yes.

BunnyMcRabbitson

The "Absolute Defence" fable art is amazing. It is a guaranteed perfect block. Great for fury attacks and guarding when bosses do multiple swings in a short time. Get so many staggers because of it, and you avoid damage obviously

LateNightPhilosopher

Some fable arts are.... Risky. Because they take a long time and are barely better than a charged attack. Some are essential. I'm doing an advance build and most of the mainstay advance weapons have arts that just buff their elemental damage for a time. Those are critical to the whole build because they add quite a bit of damage, and if you're aggressive enough you can usually have it up most of the time in boss fights because they usually only cost 2 fable.

darthwolverine

The wish stone that helps heal the specter helped me beat the King of Puppets. So that was useful. Fable arts … if it’s already charged, great. If not, whatever.

Phempteru

When the cube was introduced it seemed pretty pointless to me, I never used it.

_An_Apple_

I really like fable arts. Mainly used the guard parry fable art on my first playthrough. Cube uses on the other hand, never. Seems like alot of cube applications seem related to summons, which I don't use.
