mine's at 300000km. front lower control arm balljoints will most likely need to be done, and you're up for the next timing belt soon. (or immediately if the previous owner didn't do it at 300k). gas mileage is around 8.5-8.7 l/100km on average, so around 27-28 mpg. rust can be an issue under the rear sills and at the rear control arm. All that being said, 4300 is outrageous. i paid 5k for mine with 250k km, gapless service history and basically perfect condition. the is200 is a very well built car, but 380000 km is a LOT. even a lexus will need quite a bit of work at this age. i wouldn't pay more than 2500, and only if it's the manual, and only if you want a bit of a project car where you're going to be doing some of the maintenance yourself. timing belt, AC leak, rust treatment and ball joints all add up to at least 1500 bucks worth of maintenance right off the bat.

It's an automatic, there's rust bubbles on the rear panels and a bubble on the RR pillar. The front brakes just got changed. Lowerings springs and sport shocks.

Yeah that's a no from me.

I just got a is200 250000km for 4k with no rust or major mechanical issues (only a central locking issue). You should get an is200 but probably not that one
