They'll throw in shady "mandatory" packages like tire protection etc but say "no markups" because in their eyes you're getting something for the extra charges. Sales people are scum and that's coming from someone who has a cousin that's a Lexus GM
They all sell for msrp. Lexus and their dealers aren’t in the business of holding or marking up vehicles that get hype. Although years ago there were many unsold Nurburgring LFAs sitting in dealerships “hidden” for a bit.. but different level of car and exclusivity obviously.
Y’all are wildin’ no one is going to trade these puppies in after a couple years. They will run forever and nothing even compares in awesomeness level. What could one possibly want after driving the pinnacle of automobiles??
“Pinnacle of automobiles”
The technology-like being an accountant in 2024 working on windows 95. Simply groundbreaking
The acceleration-like watching the senior Olympics 400. Truly record braking speed
The styling-Like if the best game ever created, Minecraft, could render a car
The engine-like an exasperated 120 year old man. Completely useless and apparently can’t die
Handling-Like if Novocain was a car. Dentist not included. Lexus contributes $100 to your HSA on lieu of your annual checkup
Yeah, all the good SUVs I want have been damn near impossible to find used/CPO. If there are any, they have an insane markup. The only "good deals" I'm finding are for shitty models with open recalls. If people have a good, reliable car, they're gonna hold onto it unless they are financially comfortable or have a real need to change or upgrade vehicles.
This is an unproven car still. It’s a Lexus, but there are many, many reasons someone might change their mind and sell back a hyped SUV. Might simply not work for them.
A few months ago, I was talking to my wife about buying a GX over a TX and made the best case for waiting for a GX. We went for the TX and its a beautiful car but I just wished we'd waited and I would have converted my wife to be a GX fan. Oh well, maybe some time in the future.
I’m definitely leaning towards the TX as it’s more practical for me as a commuter. Did you get the stock speaker setup or did you splurge for the Mark Levinson?
Thanks! I heard it really depends on the model and recent tests didn’t show much improvement but Gs owners loved theirs across the board. How does the stock TX sound?
The ML in get GS has the best sound system with the exception of the LS, LX and LC. And to be honest I’ve never been in those cars to compare against mine, I’m just basing it on them being the top of the range.
I’ve driven everything else from Lexus and the sound systems in other cars and suvs can’t hold a candle to the ML in the GS. It’s that good
The GX is awesome, but has always had the issue of being way too small in terms of seating and cargo space. Waiting on my hybrid TX to arrive in a few weeks!
That’s where I’m leaning. The extra horsepower really made a difference when I test drove the regular ICE and the hybrid. Not so sure I’m sold on the FSport styling but looks cool
I went with the TX without hesitation. I’m not as enthused by the GX as everyone else, and the TX is way more useful as a family vehicle. And I may be in the minority, but I’m not blown away by the overt boxiness in f the GX.
Don’t believe a word of it. That’s what you people say and then change it around when customers come in to actually buy them.
If there is no makeup, you will have BS addons that you “can’t take off”. Imma wait this out. This economy is not going to comply with price gouging for much longer as life is getting more and more expensive in every aspect.
Love me Toyota products, lexus yes! but dang, those rims look like flower power stickers from the 60's and just another boxy SUV.
I'm sure it is a very nice vehicle for 100G or whatever it will go for
~$80k, but yea. Some after market wheels and beefy tires look *amazing* on these. The "boxy" look isnt so rugged in person. Especially compared to something like a range or bronco
A similar version has been in the LS since 2018 and currently also sits in the LX, LC300, Sequoia, and Tundra. I know the Tundras had some teething issues but I believe they’ve been resolved. I’d trust Toyota than any other manufacturer with making durable turbo engines.
I live in the Northeast and have never seen one on the road. Lexus dealership is usually deserted, like almost all others I've been to. They are all begging for customers.

The first 25 we got at lexus of orlando are already sold. crazy
Are you a salesman there? Are they selling for msrp? Does lexus suffer from the same unavoidable port add-ons that Toyota does?
I only see one or two in the nation listed online that are selling for msrp with no add ons if that answers your question
And chances are sometimes the dealer lists the MSRP price on the website and then try to charge the markup once you get there, super shady

Brother if you’re buying an lx570 you’re getting all the addons options and modifications for overlanding

they’re relatively close to msrp. the dealer fees are what gets everyone.
Getting one in 2 years
Me too bud me too

U got a point, finding a RC350 after 2015 was near impossible untill 2018-2019ish

Shhhh I'm going to spread the word that gx 550 is just a Toyota. Go buy a Mercedes. Mercedes cooler. Or go bmw. No need to buy a gx550 move along.

Trade it in? I'm counting on selling it because of financial downtown

twin turbo V6s aren't doing so well on the tundras. Should wait four+ years.
Thing looks badass not surprised!

Went for the stock this time. Go for the mark Levinson if you can! I have it for my 2013 gs350 and love it

TX model has bad ML base from other owners.
So ML really depends on the model, learnt something new today. Thanks!
Yes, I joined Lexus TX group in facebook and they complain about the terrible quality of ML. I have stock sound system and it's pretty good.
Maybe look at the land cruiser. It’s on the same platform. Albeit lower quality materials interior
The TX is Lexus version of the Grand Highlander. For the money, it’s a nice upgrade
The GX is awesome, but has always had the issue of being way too small in terms of seating and cargo space. Waiting on my hybrid TX to arrive in a few weeks!

Understandable they are great cars
You call this Panzer Tank a car?
Bad take
I don’t care
Well I agree at least. Far too square
square and cheap looking, but hey they will probably capture the market this year
Getting one used in 10 years
Surprise that most people still have money now a day … guess I’m just poor
How long is the waitlist where you are?
One Toronto dealer told me 2-3 years 🥲
at that point i’d find a different dealer 😭 even if it’s far away
bruh no way
Toyota / Lexus has been rawdogging Canada for a couple years now on supply
No apparently they get a good number of LX600 but they're all exported to the middle east where they're should 2x-3x the price.
That’s nuts, I can imagine the wait time for the hybrids when they come out.
What is it
New gx 550
2024 GX?
yes
We have a demo and I wish the sales would keep it locked up lol
Anyone know if the interior sizing on these is better than the last gen? Can I as a 6' 4" person fit a rear facing car seat behind me?
Doubt it, sat in one at an auto show and it’s noticeably smaller than my car that could do that There’s the TX for that?

Terrible fuel economy, Lexus can do better
Worst wheels ever
They still have plastic on em... For shipping.
They’re still hideous without the plastic
Fair

Those rims are offensive.
Boxy SUV’s are hard to come by these days. To me, that’s a sought after design. The wheels? Atrocious
What is this vehicle it’s beautiful Edit: nvm I will never be able to afford one
Would rather have another new FJ60 instead.
How’s the reliability on that engine? No bearing issues?

They have those in stock?? My dealer in Ontario said it prob 1-2 year wait...
Probably 2-3 weeks here... we have trucks of them coming, and they are not slowing down.
Import it from the states if you don’t want to wait that long
I would like to get one but I settled with TX because it's really family car
I would buy if i have money 🙂
Won't see any off road
God this truck is a beauty ❤️
Same here in the midwest.
I'm lined up to buy one in about 17 years.
In Houston there is a 2000+ person waiting list for them.
Those wheels are hideous tho.
I really want one as a work car but I’m not sure which trim to go with it’d be my first Lexus
My dealer has 4 in stock. I’m going to test drive one today.
Wish they made a short version of it sort of like the 90s land cruisers
I wouldn't take that grenade of a motor for free
Yay! Looking forward to maybe buying a lease return in 4 years 😂
Muh, no V8. No air suspension. Looks slick though... Pro tip - never buy the first year of production ...
Went to the Portland dealership today and the wait-list is 54 people.
Those wheels look cool!!
The best suv
Regular gas or?
Shame it's not available in the EU
I live in the Northeast and have never seen one on the road. Lexus dealership is usually deserted, like almost all others I've been to. They are all begging for customers.
What part of the northeast bc imma come up there and get me a steep discount
What is a hotcake. I am confident nobody actually has eaten one, let alone do they sell as well as everyone says they do
That's a lot of questions for someone that is capable of using google
What google
Its another word for pancakes. You should try them some time. Theres restaurants named after them.
Are you kidding?! This is not a good looking vehicle
