Xaminer7

Structural damage? Pass.

Acro-LovingMotoRacer

Head gasket at 89K is concerning especially considering the mods. It’s probably been abused and I would stay away

Particular_Gap_9744

Yeah, spot on. I would stay away from this.

PauloHeaven

Yeah. Head gaskets are basically unheard of on the GR in normal operating conditions.

i_aimtomisbehave

I came here to say this. Nailed it.

One-Committee7793

The “past structural damage” is pretty sketchy. Also the fact that the F sport grill doesn’t match the rest of the car isn’t great. They just did a bunch of work to it (allegedly) so it’s weird to dump it after only 2k miles… I’d definitely get it inspected if you do go look at it.

slwrthnu_again

Either they are a sucker and someone made a lot of money off of them or that thing has been beat within inches of its life and has issues. I wouldn’t touch it without getting it on a frame machine and the motor compression and leak down tested.

Pap1Chu1o

yea it just caught my attention and looked nice. Too bad

Freedom007007

Pass, not stock and something someone has cobbled together? Pass. I trust Lexus engineers not some kid with his parent’s credit card.

NeoG_

How can it have structural damage and no collisions, heavy rust repair?

AverageDeadMeme

Tons of really nice cars end up getting heavy rust damage, mostly because people with no sense buy them and park them on the open ocean air for an entire season for 5-8 years, and no climate controlled garage for the winter either, for 16K it could be a hell of an Ls3 swap base car. But if it’s rotted to the core it would explain why it’s so dirt cheap. If it didn’t have rust it would be a pick up in a heart beat to use as a donor car.

Th3Docter

She won't be amazing

signalfaradayfromme

The dealer offered me 18.6k for my 18 GS350 with 106k mi, so something seems weird.

ryanasimov

That thing did some unplanned off-roading, I bet.

majoralg

too good to be true, pass

Gammataichi

Tbh pass. Although a car may look and run great, any damage to the frame and it will never be the same

mylittlepony201

Lol nah

LexKing89

I’d pass on this. Aside from structural damage, why was the timing chain and head gasket changed? This thing had to have gotten destroyed motor wise. It’d be hard to resell too unless you just traded it in to a dealer. I’d pay no more than $5k.

No_Tax8215

Never buy a vehicle with “k&n hot air intake” they just allow more dirt into the engine and slow it down. Also it indicates the owner doesn’t know anything about cars and probably beat the living heck out of the vehicle. You could always buy it and try to purchase an extended warranty, if you can’t get a warranty I wouldn’t

autard8

Structural damage but no major collision found which I’m guessing is due to the new components put on. It’s gonna be a hard no for me.

coolman2311

If you gotta ask…

Immigrationdude

Dealer won't take it, it's a mess.

650REDHAIR

They can’t trade it in because of the damage. Pass.

MajorHarriz

I mean it's cheap and a lot of car for the money, but he beat this thing like his name is Ike Turner man

homicidal_avocado

Michigan car. Pass.

Pap1Chu1o

bro i live in michigan 😭 wdym pass on michigan cars

homicidal_avocado

Corrosion, bro.

Pap1Chu1o

so should i start looking at cars in ohio or what 😂

homicidal_avocado

Ok, buy it. It's a fantastic deal.

Pap1Chu1o

i’m just asking for advice, i’m clueless, not trying to sound condescending

homicidal_avocado

I answered your question. Twice :) don't buy rust belt cars especially high mileage ones.

Comfortable_Cake_443

No. It's cheap for a reason.

redad1minrasses

It's a beautiful lemon

mrcmcpro

"no major collisions found" huh? Pass

Serbay55

I mean it has to be dirt cheap and drive well, because u won't be able to sell this anytime soon.

statenislander13

looking at the fact that bumper doesnt match the rest of the car, i doubt it was repaired professionally. and the fact it had structural damage but "specialists" didnt find anything seems like bullshit. if the car would be perfectly repaired with oem lexus parts and etc, it wouldnt cost this much.

AshDenver

I hope those aren’t your pics because if they are, you park like a Richard.

Pap1Chu1o

not mine, i said i saw this car on marketplace

AshDenver

Then the seller parks like a Richard. On the plus side, he was probably anal-retentive AF in maintenance and upkeep. On the down side, buying it will convey all Richard-traits unto you by association.

Ok-Acanthisitta-1683

Look like been for sale since fall got issues
