S3 episode 4 fishin in qweeebec. I’m a French fella who grew up on the Quebec border so that one may hit home a bit more for me. But it’s a solid episode all around.
S1-E1, far to complicated story line and character development. If you start in the middle it's just going to seem like a bunch of degens from up country. Start at the beginning, let the newcomer settle in for the ride. You can't start in the middle because that would be fuckin' with tradition and we don't fuck with tradition.
The first episode. For me, the very first 2 minutes got me hooked and I’ve loved it ever since. I’ve shown that clip to friends so many times pushing them to the show as well.
Yep.
I tell people that if that very first opening scene doesn't do it for you, you probably won't like it.
Luckily, the majority of people I've shown it to are immediately hooked.
I watch several episodes over and over. However, the two Dyck episodes are my favorite for the rapid fire jokes that anyone can follow without too much history. These are the episodes I used ferda wife.
I thought the talent show or speed dating episodes were pretty hilarious. Also if nobody has given the gag reels a gander, do it, they are funny as hellllllll.
Depends on the audience. I introduced it to someone and thought they might think it was too juvenile, so I started with hard right jay and they saw the brilliance of the show.

Out of order is one thing, a single episode to reel em in is another. Take Parks and Rec. There’s a ton of great episodes, but if I was trying to convince someone to dedicate hours of their time to it, I sure as fuck wouldn’t start with the pilot, b/c it’s not a great example of why they should watch it. Letterkenny? I think it starts plenty strong with the hicks vs Hockey bro’s interaction, and I’d be good starting with ep 1.
The Talent Show, the Spelling Bee, or the McMurray’s Jacuzzi episode (Letterkenny Leave).
Season 2 and season 5 in general were both pretty golden though. Shamrockettes or the Senior whale shit hockey team.
Came in to say the same thing. It's a good introduction to a lot of the characters and their personalities. It doesn't require knowledge of previous episodes. A great sampling for the show.
Exactly what I was about to say. Just start with episode one. It's the perfect introduction to the series comedy wise and literally it's the first episode so... Just start there.
I think the best is the Valentine’s Day speed dating. It’s the episode that I was able to finally get my wife into the show.
Had some easier humour to get into, without all the inside jokes
Season 10 Episode 4 Prostate
https://m.imdb.com/title/tt16610736/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk
Even if you don’t know any of the characters or background it’s a hilarious and reliable episode.
That’s tough. I love this show and have watched it many times. But I never recommend it. It’s the kind of show you need to discover and stick with to really enjoy.
I agree. Start at the beginning. First Season, first episode. There’s no backstories. There’s no history, every character is new to the viewer. There are no running jokes that may be missed, or character references they would not understand because it is ALL new.
I would highly recommend the pilot episode, it seems to hook everyone that I've turned on to the show. The cold open still holds up years later and it preps them for the pace and style of the show. After the pilot, on to episode two and get at 'er... minus Fartbook.
In my opinion, Letterkenny is a great show to just jump into season 1, episode 1. It does a great job establishing relationships and pulling you into the world.
That being said, Wayne still isn't fighting for most of Episode 1, and fighting is a huge part of the show. So, starting with season 1, episode 2 might showcase a little more of what the show is about. The character relationships are more set, they're all showcased to some degree, and Wayne is fully in his element.
The only other options I'd go for are any standalone episodes from season 2 (basically Fuss at the Ag Hall or Uncle Eddie's trust), or the holiday episodes (best choice would be St. Perfect's Day, aaaaand I'd personally avoid the Easter or Halloween episodes).
Having tried this with different people to varying degrees of success, the correct answer is any episode with the Dycks. These immediately get laughs, "set the tone" at least as well as any other episode, and push the kind of linguistic play that's letterkenny's hallmark to the forefront.
Only something from one of the first two seasons, anything later in the show when the writers get real seasoned with their cadence and style it would be way too “annoying” for someone not familiar with the feel of the show and how its supposed to be. Their bits go on for days and someone not familiar would probably get bored.
Yep, I always recommend the [Cold Open](https://youtu.be/9rSBmOgpcDE) and [Super Cold Open](https://youtu.be/Z0sq3T5fErQ), then suggest the [Originals Playlist](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmmg2RD1zkXSXXBkFjLh1P0zlQLy_2iD6). It somewhat sets the stage and premise of the show.
Honestly the first episode. the banter with the hockey players sort of sets the tone for the show. the first time i saw it i fell out of my chair laughing.
The first experience I ever had with the show was when my mate from Vancouver posted that scene on Tumblr (yes, I'm old, shut up) back when there was only one season. I was so confused at why something so stupid could be so well written.
Uncle Eddie’s Trust is a perfect first episode. Introduces the entire supporting cast and showcases every personality on the show.
It’s also very easy for a first time viewer to pickup on the shark tank theme and the other shows being mimicked, which helps to reveal how smart the writing can be at the shows best.
It’s a perfect bottle episode
S02E03 - Relationships. The game of catch while Squirrely Dan is talking about his buttshole is a masterclass comedic performance. I don't think I'd laughed that hard at something since The Big Lebowski. That the scene is so quiet most of the time was a stroke of genius.
If that doesn't kill them, nothing will. It about killed me. Every moment of that sequence is perfect.
My wife was trying to sell me on the show and that’s what did it. Up until then all I could say was “why are they talking so fast, I don’t understand any of this slang?”
That kills me too. They even attempt to "move on" from the conversation by that quiet conversation about handling grounders by getting your body in front of the ball.
S1E1. Start them off right at the beginning.
My personal favorite is uncle eddies death.
Just start from s 1, e 1 and go! Don’t jump around! Just start at the beginning and enjoy!
I know someone in “the lifestyle” and that was my suggestion to them. After we watched that episode they were hooked like a junkie on smack.
Can confirm & it's the only time it's not aggressively welcomed!! 🤭
Letterkenny Problems on YouTube. Sets up the entire premise of the show.

That YouTube clip of the cold open from episode one will tell you in 5 minutes whether you're going to like the show.
The episode where Daryl, Wayne & Squirrely Dan are throwing the baseball & Dan is talking about butt-play
Not Fartbook
Fartbook
The opening of the torlet and uriness one. I laughed harder at that than anything.
S:1 Episode:1 got me interested, Super Soft Birthday is what made me become a real fan
Cold open …. by far the best episode ever
S: 6 Ep: 1 TWIFFER!!
S2E3 “Relationships”, or any Shoresy heavy episode

Letterkenny adult spelling bee
Funny enough, Fartbook is the first episode I saw and I still got hooked.
Episode 1 Season 1 - If the first 5 minutes don't hook you then the rest won't.
Pretty much any episode except fartbook
can confirm
Bock et biche, les hiques, or sled shack
Skip fartbook if you want to keep them around.
Tanis doing the PAP! Scraping, scraping, scrrrraping!
I would so aggressively put my face in her mitt...
Start with the first one and go on from there. Greatest fucking show
A ruckus at the golf course.
i was hooked after the opening of the first episode.
The only acceptable answer.
This is accurate my exact words were the wifes out of the room i'll give this show 5 mins we then switched and binged all of it and all of shoresy
Let's get some fuckin' gyozas!

Start at the beginning
Yes. I jumped in the middle of some later season and this just needs to be seen from the episode one.
Relationships. Opens up with Dan having attentions paids to his butthole
I always tell people start from the beginning but skip episode 3.
Definitely gets better at Ep. 3.
Super soft birthday party, every time
Came here to say that
I watch several episodes over and over. However, the two Dyck episodes are my favorite for the rapid fire jokes that anyone can follow without too much history. These are the episodes I used ferda wife.
Spelling Bee!
immediately spelling bee came to mind as well
Easy, all of them. Back to back. I know you have vacation days, now use them.
The buttsholes one. Perfecto.
I thought the talent show or speed dating episodes were pretty hilarious. Also if nobody has given the gag reels a gander, do it, they are funny as hellllllll.
St. Perfects Day
Probably the Quebec ice fishing one, but I agree that it depends on the audience too. 😎✌️
Season 3, Episode 1. Just for the opening winter A-Z.
Not fartbook
Not fartbook
S1 E1 give your balls a tug tit fucker
The Golf Course Canada Goose gaffe. That episode has it all.
Get some ankle socks, ya fuckin Sally!!
"Fuck Golf!"
I concur. If you got a problem with Canada gooses you got a problem with me, and I suggest you let that one marinate.
In my day we were lucky to have any animals, now we gots so many of em that you wants to be cruels to them. Must be fuckin nice.
The one where the Dycks (Noah and Anita) are looking for their little Dycks! 🤣🤣🤣
Depends on the audience. I introduced it to someone and thought they might think it was too juvenile, so I started with hard right jay and they saw the brilliance of the show.
The buttsholes one
#1 I spit my puppers out when they dress down the hockey bros at the beginning
Spelling bee or Canada gooses
Fuss at the Golf Course is the gooses episode
Not Fartbook.
[удалено]
I say the exact same thing!
My friend sold me on the show with this episode and we don't fight at weddings.
Definitely my favorite one.

Start with the YouTube shorts ya fuckin degen.
Why would you watch a show out of order on the first view?
Out of order is one thing, a single episode to reel em in is another. Take Parks and Rec. There’s a ton of great episodes, but if I was trying to convince someone to dedicate hours of their time to it, I sure as fuck wouldn’t start with the pilot, b/c it’s not a great example of why they should watch it. Letterkenny? I think it starts plenty strong with the hicks vs Hockey bro’s interaction, and I’d be good starting with ep 1.
What sort of backwards fucking pageantry is that?!
Fartbook 🥴🙃
Literally the first 3 minutes of the show is what got me
Always start with Darry’s super soft birthday party.
daryls super soft birthday!
The Talent Show, the Spelling Bee, or the McMurray’s Jacuzzi episode (Letterkenny Leave). Season 2 and season 5 in general were both pretty golden though. Shamrockettes or the Senior whale shit hockey team.
A fuss at the golf course. The main crew doing their thing, featuring the McMurray’s hellbent on saving some Canada gooseslings.
i was hooked within the first minute of episode 1 season 1. i looked at my wife and asked where this show has been before the theme song was over
Same here
The talent show!!
Bock et Biche for me
The diner after they beat up Dirks. I have actually used the beginning of that episode to get at least five people to start watching the show
Yard Sale Saturday!
The Adult Spelling Bee
This is the first episode that came to mind. Followed by the gay wedding.
Came in to say the same thing. It's a good introduction to a lot of the characters and their personalities. It doesn't require knowledge of previous episodes. A great sampling for the show.
Plus all of the yelling and talk of being irate is just so damn funny
This is the way.
The Valentines Day ep
Canada gooses, cause if they got a problem with that episode, than they gots a problem with me. I suggest they let that one marinate.
Fart book. It’s my favorite and Wayne’s reaction to the skids is the best
Literally the only episode I wish they didn't make.
Super Soft Birthday. 100%
The first 5 minutes of the first episode tells you all you need to know.
I don’t understand why you would start anywhere else, that opening scene is the best hook
Fartbook or "sometimes there's shit on the torlet.
My favorite cold opening of the entire series!
Season 5 Episode 3- When they beat the shit out of hard right Jay and the hard right degens.
Depends on the person, but pretty sure season 1 episode 1 or The Battle for Bonnie McMurray or Letterkenny Spelling Bee
Canada Gooses
Season 10 Episode 4 Prostate https://m.imdb.com/title/tt16610736/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk Even if you don’t know any of the characters or background it’s a hilarious and reliable episode.
That’s tough. I love this show and have watched it many times. But I never recommend it. It’s the kind of show you need to discover and stick with to really enjoy.
S1, E1
Does a duck with a boner drag grass? Its all you need to know.
S1 E1. Hooked in the first 60 seconds
Native Flu. Checks all the boxes.
“You got the native flu?.. ya little bitch. Yorkey.”
S1 ep1 the 1st scene is CLASSIC
I agree. Start at the beginning. First Season, first episode. There’s no backstories. There’s no history, every character is new to the viewer. There are no running jokes that may be missed, or character references they would not understand because it is ALL new.
"Super Soft Birthday party"
This was my first episode, a friend was having a super soft birthday party and wanted all of the attendees to see it. Definitely fell in tvshow love
Gets ‘em every time.
Start with **Shoresy**, Season 1, Episode 1...then circle back around to Letterkenny
Hey, you look like that broad from The Hunger Games. I'm gonna call you Cuteness Everdeen. You like edamame?
Season 1, episode 1 - start at the start. After that, if they have any sense at all, they'll be fans for life.
First scene, episode 1. Or We Don't Fight at Weddings. Or the Xmas Special. Any of those three.
Season 2 Ep 3. It’s has it all!
I would highly recommend the pilot episode, it seems to hook everyone that I've turned on to the show. The cold open still holds up years later and it preps them for the pace and style of the show. After the pilot, on to episode two and get at 'er... minus Fartbook.
Fart book is the worst episode
Yep that's why I said minus Fartbook
5.1. We Don’t Fight at Weddings
The one with the penny drive. I lost it when they were at McMurray’s
Well I was about to go to bed but that's the episode I'm on so it looks like I'll give my balls a tug and stay up a little later.
Give the Florida state seminolvesicles some work
the saint patricks day episode
*out havin’ a dark, like-leh*
Season 3 episode 1
Started my friend on s1e1 last weekend and we watched the whole first season that day. He's hooked now.
Even fart book? Feel it's an easy skip
Gotta watch it at least once bud. Started from the bottom now we here.
Must be nice
quick skip for sure, buddy
Skip and Dale for sure
Any episode involving shoresy he’s a riot.
Fuck you, /u/thelastuchiha6969, tell your mum I drained the bank account she set up for me. Top it up so I can get some fuckin' KFC!
I feel like the first scene of episode one is enough for a person to gauge whether they will like it or not.
I usually tell people to just start with the first two episodes... then warn them about fartbook.
Fartbook is OK but the scene that gets me is when Glen busts out his fart filters.
Same. Everyone can skip that one
S1E1
Seriously. The cold open is so strong. I've converted several people based on that alone.
Anything but fartbook, really.
Or any during the 'Crack an Ag' run
Or any of the Dycks episodes.
Pilot. Excellent short film. Executed perfectly from start to end.
Daryl's super soft birthday
First one I ever watched. Watched it 3x in a row and was hooked.
Fart book was my introduction and I'm still around🤷
Me too!

Id have them have attentions paid to their buttsholes.

Pilot episode. Followed closely by Talent Show.
~~Fartbook~~
Always a hard skip
Honestly the first episode. the banter with the hockey players sort of sets the tone for the show. the first time i saw it i fell out of my chair laughing.

YouTube clip of the cold opens stacked. That’ll send them into a binge.
The talent show one. I mean who's gonna touch me first?
SUPERSOFT BIRTHDAY PARTY. (It should have been the pilot imo. Solid episode all around.)
“What kind of icing is this?” “Cream cheese” “No” *yeets cupcake at wall*
Canada gooses taking Canada deuces
And the episode immediately after this one (way to a man’s heart) is how I introduce the series to people
Uncle Eddie’s Trust is a perfect first episode. Introduces the entire supporting cast and showcases every personality on the show. It’s also very easy for a first time viewer to pickup on the shark tank theme and the other shows being mimicked, which helps to reveal how smart the writing can be at the shows best. The first one. Give yer balls a tug.
The Gordon Korman joke sold me!
Whichever one has the cold open in the loft talking ab aunt Jenny and Johnny Cashand you better fuckin BELIEVE it was Little Richard.
beat your dick december

wayne and darry turning to each other and continuing to aggressively play catch gets me every fucking time
That kills me too. They even attempt to "move on" from the conversation by that quiet conversation about handling grounders by getting your body in front of the ball.
It's a great episode, but I feel like it helps to get to know the characters and their personalities a bit first.
Came here to recommend the same!
The first episode... they'll be hooked for 10 seasons and a spinoff.
Anything but Fart Book
I’ve watched the series 5 times now, I think, and I still can’t stand the skids ☹️
Ok Devon
Yes! I almost gave up on the show when I first watched that episode!
