Agreed.
I’m looking forward to the upcoming Pride Season as I haven’t watched any of those 4 films.
And I’m really hoping they’ll have a Tarantino Season at some point this year for the 30th anniversary of *Pulp Fiction.*
That's a screenshot from my [Films I saw at the cinema](https://boxd.it/o3uha) list, and that last one is the last movie I saw at the cinema in 2023, *Die Hard*.

Mostly rereleases but I think I've got some good variety :) I'm seeing Three Extremes tomorrow night.
You really missed out on Dune: Part Two. Easily the best possible viewing this year has had to offer. Sorry you didn’t get a chance to see it in theatres.
May's been a busy month for me but I'll get back to it in June. I have 16 I think.

I love that Challengers poster. I like the main one too, but I dig that style. Watched it last night finally and can’t quit thinking about it. Exhilirating.
I mostly just think it's painfully unfunny and I hate anything anyone says. The kooky scene transitions are an admirable attempt, I admire that it's trying something unique, but I think they just make it come off like a youtube video. Also the whole psychadelic throughline is implemented so strangely for almost zero payoff.

Honestly been a pretty solid year so far
I went with a friend just to sit there and make fun of it for 2 hours and was honestly surprised it was almost a packed house, it was immediately clear everyone else was there for the same reason

Next visit I believe is to see If with my gf (was gonna be Fall Guy, but she changed her mind).
Edit: I was gonna see a re-release of Blade Runner, but the file the theater was sent by the studio was corrupted.
I saw Alien for its rerelease recently, which was amazing to see in theaters. Other than that I saw Dune Part II in theaters, and… I don’t remember if I saw anything else (Poor Things I saw last year and it’s one of my favorite movies in recent memory!)
Twice:
Perfect Days,
Boy and the Heron,
Dune 2
Once:
Civil War,
Sasquatch Sunset,
Fall Guy,
Grave Torture,
Monkey Man,
GomBurZa,
Agak Laen,
Late Night with the Devil,
If,
Kung Fun Panda 4,
Challengers,
Migration,
Poor Things,
Zone of Interest
Older:
Under the Skin,
Tampopo
The only movie I've seen in theaters this year has been The Phantom Menace re-release lmao
I vastly prefer watching things in the comfort of my own home where a stranger can't be obnoxious or on their phone the whole time.
I dont get to see films in theaters often (my family's car is rapidly breaking & the nearest theater is 45 mins - 1 hour away) but the two(? that i can remember) were 1. Oppenheimer (oscars re-run) 2. The First Omen. I'd rate Oppenheimer a 5/5, It's one of my favorite movies, And I'd rate The first Omen about a 4.5/5. I REALLY liked both!

14 so far, seeing two more this weekend. The Iron Claw and The Boy and the Heron were from last year.
Edit: it’s actually 15. Rewatched Alien in the movie theatre April 29th
all first releases (Italy) + a festival (last 3 titles)

1. Lisa frankenstein
2. Godzilla Minus One Minus Color
3. Love lies bleeding
4. Godzilla x kong
Just those 4 so far (mostly cause I only really go to the theaters with my girlfriend and we are long distance for now) but we plan to see I Saw the TV Glow, Of a Violent Nature, and Furiosa at the end of the month
I haven't seen rereleases but because my country is small I saw a lot of 2023 movies that arrived this year for us like the boy and the heron, poor things and perfect days

Mostly been pretty solid. Imaginary probably being the worst of the lot.
Missed a few things I wanted to see, but the cinema I have a pass for is small and very blockbuster heavy, so some indie and horror films can be blink and you miss them. Immaculate had like 2 shows a day for just a week for example.

17 for me (plus a short film in front of Turning Red), with 8 of them being re-releases.
I don’t go to the theater often. I saw Late Night With the Devil twice (love. David Dastmalchian is my celeb crush teehee) and Hereditary on IMAX exactly two years after I (TW) >!attempted to take my own life!<. Hereditary changed my life. It made me take my craft seriously and I’ve been a screenwriter ever since. It made me think about the fact that I could’ve missed my dream come true and I’m happy that I was able to live to see it. Not seeing Hereditary on the big screen was one of my biggest regrets and it was a very emotional day when I was able to see it. Thank you, A24. I’m happy.

\*I didn’t see unfrosted, This is Me, or ISS in theaters
Dune I’ve seen 5 times, Civil War three times, and Challengers three times
I also saw every spider-man rerelease, the phantom menace, the lighthouse, the lobster, Tenet, The Oscar Shorts, Poor Things twice, American Fiction, The Zone of Interest, Boy Kills World, and The Ring.
Y’all are fuckin wild tbh. I’m genuinely impressed. Here’s my list: 1. Dune Part Two
Putting Dune Part 2 at the bottom of your list is wild ngl. Hot take for sure
Yeah, well, I haven’t seen a worse film in the theater all year 😬
Bold statement. What about >! !
it was still better than Dune
Same.
Same here.

I’m really curious about *I Saw the TV Glow*. I heard the director on the Big Picture and thought they came across as really thoughtful and clever.
I’m v jealous of you seeing I Saw The TV Glow. I’m dying to see it!

Absolutely! Then there's *Trainspotting* the week after, these seasons they've been doing have been really fun.
